Hi! Are there plans to include some basic web/page analytics for InSided community sites?

@esthertrapadoux there is currently a beta feature that includes this data. It is the “BI connector to CC Data Lake Silver Layer Beta”. You can see the group here….

I have been playing around with this and it is possible to get this information. Whether it will remain (I hop so) is uncertain. But with this, I can see exactly what our users have been looking at.

@rhall ah got it. Just want to make sure I understand, the analytics won’t be native in the product though?

Sorry, I am not sure I understand @esthertrapadoux. What you get are records from each pageview that takes place. So you get the user_id, the page they visited, the time, etc. This isn’t presented in a way that you can expose to people without a bit of processing. But you can plug this into something like Tableau and build your own logic from this granular data to produce whatever reports you want based on this.

@rhall ah yes, I was looking for out of the box reporting on device, country, session analytics, etc and viewable in the platform.

@esthertrapadoux it would certainly be possible to get that data, but it looks like it will require you know your way around SQL and have a way of presenting it.

We are working on improving and extending CC out-of-the-box dashboard. Hopefully, we can give an update on the progress made in the year's second half.
