We are getting hit with this issue pretty hard as well.  It has been 3 years since this issue was raised. Our signature is the issue, but it is a corporate wide signature so changing it for Gainsight users only is not a solution for us. Has anyone come up with any reasonable workarounds?

This issue is really impacting our business also. I see the last comment on here was 9 months ago and has been a issue for 3 years now, probably longer. Are we any closer to a resolution?

+1 to this, our CSM’s are getting fails nearly everytime they send an email due to things like images in the email counting as “attachments”. 

Please either raise the 5 attachment limit or only consider actual attachments as attachments….

An update on this would be appreciated.  This is very impactful, similar to others, our team is getting these with every single email.

+1 on this enhancement, our CSMs also face this issue constantly! We only care about attaching the actual file attachments from the email threads instead of these erroneous social media links/email signature icons, etc. 

 

Is there any update on this enhancement request?

Adding myself to this request too. The ‘workaround’ or removing images from our signatures is not viable as we cannot control how the client sets up their own signatures!

We are not planning any enhancements on GS Assist plugin this year.

Can we have confirmation that the issue with Timeline attachments is at least going to be addressed somewhere else? This is not just a GS Assist issue - it’s one that affects the GS Timeline functionality instead. As per https://support.gainsight.com/gainsight_nxt/Timeline/02User_Guides/Log_Activities_to_Timeline#Points_to_Consider, there is a limit of five attachments per Timeline entry. Can we confirm that the new auto logging of emails to Timeline functionality (https://support.gainsight.com/gainsight_nxt/Timeline/02Admin_Guides/AI_Follow-Up_Admin_Guide#For_CS_and_Staircase_AI_Customers) can at least take signature in-line images into account and not include them as attachments?

@mattmarcsmith I  dont know if this helps , but any Attachments in general are not captured by Auto email capture feature and is a current limitations. So it doesnt include any inline images but it also doesnt capture any actual attachments

Thanks, ​@ChiragJ. That’s useful to know. We cannot use the auto log email to Timeline feature just yet due to a limitation on who’s email we want fed from Staircase (i.e., we want ALL emails in Staircase, but only a sub-group fed to GS Timeline). Let’s hope that when the issue you described is addressed, they look to tackle the inline image requirement at the same time (even if it’s a toggle option).
