Possibility to change author of content

Got my hopes up and realized you can’t do this yet. We’re migrating some internal folks away from email conversations to community questions - I was hoping to encourage participation by automatically making the email question into a thread on the community. But questions are not yet supported to specify the creating user or changing it afterwards.

Is there any update on this idea? Updating Articles and Product Updates is great, but our team really needs the ability to update authors for regular topics.

Thanks for your patience here and to everyone who's kept this thread active.

This idea was partially delivered in 2021 with the ability to create content on behalf of another user. The remaining scope (changing the author of already-published content) is something we're moving into discovery as part of broader content management improvements. We'll update this thread as we learn more.
