Possibility to change author of content

In our community some of the first topics (like welcome post, new to the community etc.) are written by a person no longer working with the community. I wish to change the author from her to me as I am now the person our members are interacting with and I would like them to see my face on the introduction threads and similar topics.

 

I think it would be great if one could change author between Community managers at least, so that we don’t have to delete and repost content if someone is leaving, or log in to multiple users and keep them active to make it more welcoming for members and to make sure we’re not missing pm’s etc.

    Thanks for your patience here and to everyone who's kept this thread active.

    This idea was partially delivered in 2021 with the ability to create content on behalf of another user. The remaining scope (changing the author of already-published content) is something we're moving into discovery as part of broader content management improvements. We'll update this thread as we learn more.

      This would be very helpful for us too! 

      Our product teams write ‘seeking feedback’ posts, indicating to users that they’re actively seeking feedback on a specific feature. They engage with users because they’re notified of new replies via email… until there’s a change in product ownership or someone leaves the company.

      We need the ability to (1) change the author of any given post, and (2) edit email notifications at the topic level. Regarding point 2, I’ve created an idea for email notifications at the topic level here.
