Recently, we conducted a webinar on the topic "Maximizing Business Impact with Effective Engagements in Gainsight PX: Best Practices & Strategies." If you missed the session, you can access it through this link, and here is the PPT deck.

During the webinar, we started by discussing the different types of engagements available in Gainsight PX and how they can be effectively utilized:

  • Guide Engagements:
    • Use Cases: We explored how guide engagements can be deployed for onboarding new users, educating them about core functionalities, and introducing newly launched features. They can also assist users in navigating complex workflows with step-by-step instructions.
    • Examples: A guide can walk a user through the initial setup of a product, highlighting essential features along the way.
  • Dialog Engagements:
    • Use Cases: Dialog engagements are ideal for communicating important announcements, such as policy changes or new feature launches. They can also alert users to outages.
    • Examples: For instance, if a new feature has been released, a dialog could inform users of its key benefits and encourage exploration.
  • Slider Engagements:
    • Use Cases: Sliders are effective for promoting features or providing helpful tips as users navigate various sections.
    • Examples: A slider can highlight a new feature, providing a brief overview and a call to action to encourage users to try it out.
  • Email Engagements:
    • Use Cases: We discussed how email campaigns can gather feature usage insights, educate users about new features, and reinforce adoption and retention through success stories.
    • Examples: A targeted campaign could include a welcome email for new users, offering useful tips to maximize their experience.

We also emphasized best practices to enhance engagement effectiveness, such as:

  • Keeping surveys short and seeking immediate feedback after interactions.
  • Crafting compelling subject lines for emails to capture user attention.
  • Highlighting the benefits of dialog engagements to encourage user interaction.
  • Ensuring mobile optimization and clear calls to action in all communications.

Pitfalls to avoid included overwhelming users with too much information, failing to segment content effectively, neglecting mobile optimization, and not considering the timing of messages.

Finally, I shared real-life examples to illustrate these concepts, such as gathering data through multi-select options in engagements and launching a series of interconnected engagements that guide users through a process.

This comprehensive approach highlighted how tailored engagements in Gainsight PX can maximize business impact and improve user satisfaction.
