Ability to migrate system objects

Posting on customer’s behalf:

Hey all!  Currently when performing X-Org migrations, we are unable to migrate the schema or data for system generated objects.  This is a currently limitation of the migration tool but we’re wondering if there’s any plan to allow for these objects to be migrated in the future?

    Hi @tom_gerth

    Thank you for your feedback.

We have plans to allow data migration using XOrg.

Regarding the migration of schema for system objects, can I know which objects are you looking to migrate and the usecases for the migration system objects?

    Thank you

I was working with a customer on this and a specific use case was not provided, they were just wondering if we ever intend to allow for full system objects such as the Company or Person table to be migrated from one org to another via X-Org.

    Hi @tom_gerth

System and Standard objects will be present in both the orgs, hence a migration would not be required.

Currently the custom fields in the Standard objects can be migrated using XOrg.

    Would this resolve your query?

Do let me know if you require any more details

    Thank you
