I would love to be able to add someone as a subscriber to a specific post. I know I can @ them and have them included in convo - but would be great to have a way to flag them as a subscriber.

Use case here -- we have some convos that relate to tips and tricks during onboarding. If we hear from a customer that they are struggling with something, would love to subscribe them to a convo so they can get updates (vs. having to send link or @ them)

Interesting idea @ChristineTT

I’ve only known tagging someone (@mentioning them) for this purpose as you say, ‘Adding as a Subscriber’ - could you give an example of this, something we can see in action, or a screenshot?

We use a tool called Canny to collect feedback from our customers. Within this tool we can add someone as a voter to a product request. That way we don’t have to ask them to do it - we remove the friction and add them directly (and then they get notified if we make changes, add more details, or when its released they will get a ping). I’m hoping for something similar here!

This is what it looks like within Canny tool

That’s a highly specialized usage, haven’t seen this anywhere… reminds me of a MS Sharepoint feature where you could add someone as a ‘Watcher’?

Btw the TIP text is actually incorrect because you are not Voting on behalf of someone which would be anti-Social, but positioning someone to Vote, as a Voter… which is very different, correct?

@anirbandutta - fair comparison, view this similar to adding someone as a “watcher”. Interesting point about tip text. Personally don’t see the same nuance as you. But yes, you are adding someone as a voter. Thats the same action I’m hoping for here. Adding someone to a conversation so they see updates!

Hi @ChristineTT, thanks for sharing this idea! Unfortunately, this is not a functionality that we will support, also because there is already an @mention feature to support this more explicitly that also encourages engagement. For that reason, I’ll close this idea.
