I'm working with a client who is creating numerous Activities via Timeline with accompanying follow up Tasks. The Management Team would like to create a Custom View in Cockpit to filter based upon Timeline Activity Type. I do not see that filter available as of yet and I'm wondering if it might be available in the future.

Just wanted to note that you could use a Rule to stamp the Timeline Activity Type into a custom field on the CTA object 🙂
Not sure if this is what you had in mind Easton, but you can filter all cockpit tasks to only show ones that were created by Timeline activities.
To do this, add the cockpit filter on "Source" and set that to "Activity"

This gets us about half way there my friend. We have created custom Activity Types (Executive Business Review, Instance Review, etc...) within Timeline that we need to filter upon in Cockpit so management can see all of the follow up "Tasks" for specific activities. I have not found a way to do this as of yet.

You can create a report by joining csTAsk and ActivityTimeline objects to solve this use-case. Would that work?
