Events are a great addition to the engagement and interaction options a community offers its users. Our community often organizes own (virtual / real life) or promotes brand / marketing events. In order to properly inform the users about an upcoming event, its details and options to RSVP, the current content types don‘t offer enough fields and setting.



We would like to have a content type „Event“ with fields like:

• Event title
  
  
• Event Description / Body
  
  
• Date / Time
  
  
• Name and Location / Link to virtual event room
  
  
• RSVP-field (Yes, no, maybe)
  
  
• comment section
  
  

Settings:

• type of invitation (open, limited to user group, limited to max. number of participants)
  
  

We also would like to have a function to display upcoming events in a sidebar widget.
