I am trying to join data from an MDA table to a Salesforce object, though it doesn't appear that I can actually join MDA data with a salesforce object using Data Spaces. Is this correct, or is there another way I can do this?

Data spaces are for SFDC objects only at this time. We support merging data from multiple source objects (both SFDC and MDA) in rules and journey orchestrator however, using the bionic query capabilities.
For reporting, we are working on creating functionality similar to bionic queries where you could build a report off of data from more than one object. We are hoping to deliver this in the first half of 2019.
