Hi team,

It might make for a click-saving use case if there was an option to select a default option when changing the due date of a CTA and how it impacts the corresponding tasks. For example, if, by default, you'd like to never adjust open task due dates based on the new CTA due date, we can have a default option that would select "No" when the prompt below appears:

Perhaps even on a playbook by playbook basis where end users can configure a default response to the above prompt within the playbook configuration.

Would there be any limitations or drawbacks to this?

Thanks!
Good topic of discussion, Josh!  I'm a big fan of saving clicks & I think there's always room for improvement in the Gainsight UI here.  On this specific workflow, I'd love to hear how other CSMs feel about this, but for me personally, I respond differently to this question on a regular basis depending on the situation.  Sometimes I'm making a minor change to a Playbook task due date for EBR prep, for example, and the last thing I want is for all the due dates to adjust automatically.  But in other cases, I may heavily rely on (and be grateful for) the ability to change the Playbook task for an aging support ticket CTA and have all the other tasks cascade and adjust automatically for me.  Do other CSM answer this question differently depending on the situation or is there a common default that would be valuable?
Our group asked for this functionality to save clicks as well as keep visibility to the CTA. When we have reps changing the CTA due date we do not want it to update the task due dates because then reps forget about the CTA again until the due date and typically do not work the CTA until it is overdue.
Hi,

'No' is the default option applied if the user doesn't make any selection. Would it help if we highlight 'No' to make it more evident that this option will be selected by default.

Thanks,

Nitisha
Hi Nitisha,

Highlighting 'No' would help make it more evident. I think what we are going for is that this message would not pop up at all when a rep goes to change the CTA due date. It would just be automatic without any notification to save a click and not notify the rep. Josh suggested maybe having this as an option when setting up the playbook.
