Email notifications at the Relationship level

While working with HPE, we came across the need to improve the email notifications capabilities at the Relationship level.

Specifically:
  • Currently, there is no option to "follow" a customer at the Relationship level. Thus all email notifications "for the customer I'm following" can't be used at the Relationship level
  • For auto-subscribe, there is no option to auto-subscribe users for email alerts based on fields (e.g. CSM) on the Relationship object. Therefore, for org.s that manage their workflow at the Relationship level, there is no way to auto subscribe users to email alerts
Is better supporting email alerts at the Relationship level on the roadmap? If so, is there an ETA?

Thank you!
Nadav

Changing post type to "Idea" since this is really an enhancement request, not a problem with the product.

    Hi Nadav,

This is on the Roadmap. We will try to make progress on this for our Spring release.

+ 1 for this idea!  I have user lookup fields at the Relationship level.  Would love to set-up autosubscription at the Relationship Level.

Will this be available in the May release?

This was not part of our May release.

We are re-looking at our notifications system to support other ideas around notification like -
    1) Daily notification with a list of CTAs that are due today.
    2) Auto enable users to receive notifications.
    3) Deliver notification in-app and not just via email.

We will enable relationship level notification as part of this initiative. We will keep you posted as we get more clarity on the timelines.

Hello, we are just about to come on board to Gainsight and in - app notifications would be extremely beneficial for our relationship management strategy. Is this still on the roadmap?

Yes, this is still on our Roadmap.

Could you provide some example notification you would want to show in-app and the type of users for whom you think these will be beneficial?

Thanks for your reply Sidhu. Yes, our app is Point-of-Sale software for Salons, so our customers really live on it all day. This means that for us (and i'm sure many other softwares that have high degrees of adoption), in-app notifications will have a much greater read rate than emails. Our customers just aren't opening our emails, so if we saw they were not using a part of the system that would be beneficial for them, an in-app notification would be highly effective way of communicating with them.

    Hello all,

Would like to bump this thread as questions and requests have resurfaced for Micro Focus (formerly HPE). Notifications should be from an "admin"in the Relationship and only go to members of that Relationship.

Do we still have this planned on our Roadmap?

    Thank you!
