As of now, we don't support number fields in "Group By" section in reporting. Would it be possible to have this feature implemented in Reporting for MDA Objects?
P.S. - It is not supported in SFDC.

As the MDA Objects sit on Amazon Redshift, it would be great if Group By on Number fields would be permitted. The Salesforce limitation does not apply to Redshift. In the Report Builder UI, perhaps check to see whether the object for reporting is MDA or SFDC. If the former, permit group by else not?
This needs to be thought through to cover all use cases of filter, calculated measures and Group by when we allow a number to be grouped by. We may take it up sometime in future based on how volume of ask.
Changing this to Idea post for future reference
To start, allow cumulative values report option on group by number field would be nice as well. Provided the X-axis is sorted ascending or descending.

Yes! would love the ability to group by a number field and then create a cumulative line graph based on the sorting of that number field. For example, if you could group by 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and the show the cumulation of the count of values associated with each number value based on the desired sorting.
I think this could merge with my post:
