How are people solving the problem of partners in multiple accounts when it comes to Timeline?

Use case: Customer has partner contacts that work on multiple accounts and therefore their email id is associate with multiple customers. If we do BCC, that will not work. Also, how do we associate same contacts with multiple customers?

    Ideally partners should be granted user licenses so they can access the critical customer success info and health data allowing them to be fully informed as they work with customers.
