Limit of 10 fields in the 'Show me' fields if there is a 'By' field

While reporting, if I have a 'By' field, then the report builder does not let me have more than 10 'Show' fields. I have a customer who has to export the data to excel because of this limitation. Can the PM please let me know why we have this limit of 10 and if there is a workaround?

      Us too! We have ran into this a few times in reports!

        Same here. Our clients have up to 8 products of ours, so reporting on more than one metric per product is sometimes difficult with that limitation, and many times has to be broken up into multiple reports.

          Facing similar issue in my use case. Cannot add morethan 11 fields in show section with a group by field.

          In my Report i was not able to map more than 11 fields and unable to save more than 10 fields. Please find the below snapshot for reference.

           

          where as , when we are trying to map the 12th field the popup in below snapshot arrives stating only 10 fields can be added even though 11 fields were mapped in show me.
