When the Mass Edit tool is used to update the CTA assignee, and update Tasks is selected, completed tasks are also getting updated. The completed tasks should not be
updated so we can preserve the history of who did that task. There needs to be an option to exclude completed Tasks from the update.
This is making the Mass Edit tool unusable.

Thanks for the feedback Kristin, I agree that filtering out closed tasks is important. We will make this change and until then would recommend that you update CTAs and Tasks in separate mass edit actions. While updating tasks, filter out the closed task.
I might even go a step farther and suggest that the default behavior for mass edit should be be to only touch "open" items, whether that's a CTA or a task. I was just reassigning CTAs after some staffing changes and it took me a minute to figure out why I was seeing 100s of CTAs instead of the 10s I expected based on the Cockpit view. A pre-set filter would work great. But I can't think of a time when I was trying to modify historical data rather than just impacting the open items.
Hi Sidhu, any update on this feature request? I totally agree with Jeffrey - "update tasks” button shall be by default shall be applied to open task only. The mass edit function was a good add-on a year ago yet it has been improved despite the consistent requests from the admin users during Pulse and on the Community. Would appreciate some updates on this front. Thanks!
There is not ETA yet. We will share an update as soon as we have an ETA. This is definitely on the roadmap.
