Hi all,
if you are working with a dedicated support team in your community, I think you know this question well from the Service Managers "can you (quickly) show the impact of our support team in the community?"
For me that usually meant providing numbers like #responses, time-to-response etc. you know it all. But that's only part of the story, as the community operates in a public space and the very idea of a community is that via public answers, users can help themselves.
So the challenge is to show the impact of the posts is browsing users.
- One step in that direction is the public helpful votes (https://community.insided.com/news-platform-updates-16/topic-helpfulness-now-previewing-on-inspired-958)
- But not all users will vote, so measuring the reach of a topic/reply via e.g. Google Analytics is required
This means though, that you will have two sources (community & webanalytics) for your data and need to mesh & match them with a common identifier. The common identifier that enables you to easily mesh & match is the URL. However, the current API provides you only with the ID - as I'm not a developer I can't easily rebuild the URL from that information to mesh & match to analyse the data...So
Idea:
Provide the full URLs for all content items via the API.
With that we'll be e.g. able to say: the posts from the support team have a reach/visibility of 1.000.000 sessions per month.
Cheers,
Florian
