Remove Standard Fields From Activities

Customer would like the ability to be able to remove the standard fields from activities configuration. 

For example, you cannot remove "call duration" because it is a standard field. They are not using this field so it would just always show up as null.

Other than duration, are there any other fields which they want to remove?

Ideally, the customer would like to be able to edit/add/remove any of the standard fields from that layout. I have lots of customers that aren't using the default "task/activities" layout and would like to be able to customize that layout to their needs.
