Currently the “Share” button has three options: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.
As content in most of inSided’s customers’ communities revolves around service and self service, sharing it to the three social networks doesn’t make much sense most of the times, as issues, problems and questions usually are quite specific.
It is more likely that users want to share questions and solutions (the majority of the communities’ content) to single peers (or small groups of peers) instead of large groups of followers or professional contacts. WhatsApp is the biggest social messenger, that’s why we propose that the “Share” button gets a new option: Share to WhatsApp.
After tapping on the WhatsApp share button, WhatsApp opens on the users’ phones and they can choose the recipient(s) they want to forward the URL to.
