Upsert doesn't work if there are duplicates in the file.

Agree with you on this! We recognize this issue with upserts and are actively working to enhance the behavior so that upsert won't result in duplicates in your objects even if there are duplicates in your file/source data.  

I don't have an exact ETA yet, but you can expect this enhancement within the next few months.

Are there any updates on when duplicates will be addressed? We run into this issue often as well and some enterprise companies are not able to easily modify exports from source systems due to internal change control processes and governance on their business systems.
