Use other fields for date calculation

Hey there!

I am currently trying to set up a rule that adds to a date field on company level a number field on company level as well:

Company 1:

Start date: 2019-02-25

Postponement: 2

New start date 2019-02-27 (= Start date + postponement)

Company 2:

Start date: 2019-03-03

Postponement: 21

New start date 2019-02-24 (= Start date + postponement)

But I can only see “Value” in the “Date add” functionality (in rules or in calculated fields) is there a workaround to this?

Did you mean that you are trying to add a Number field type with a Date field type and expect output as a Date field type?

yes exactly. It’s basically the function “Add N days to date”, but N not being a hardcoded value but a value taken from another field.

At present we don’t have this support. We can add value to a date as you already mentioned using “Add N days to date” but not another field.

We will consider this as an enhancement and add it to our roadmap. Thanks for bringing this up.
