[from inSpired] Meet the Community | Introduce yourself

Hi everyone!

My name is Remco (internal nickname: Goldilocks, don't ask), and I recently started working at inSided in the Marketing team. Quite a broad spectrum of responsibilities, but on the inSpired community I will mostly be trying to help you make the most of your community/product.

30 y/o, just had a 2nd kid. Enjoy most things sports-related and have a real addiction going when it comes to trying really difficult cooking recipes.

Met some of you at the last inSpired event, and will hopefully meet the ones I didn't see soon!

I'm Rodion from Kaspersky Lab. Nice to join the community of community managers, bkz I've never had such experience 🙂
I work for Kaspersky since 2011. I manage Kaspersky Lab official forum since 2013. I have a lot of different tasks but the community: knowledge management, trainings of support teams, Social Media support etc.). But community is a big part of my life (sometimes toooo big - I know you understand me :)). So probably I'll be a bit useful for somebody here 🙂 Of course, I have to learn InSided before with your great help, I hope :)

Hi everyone!

I'm Claire and I lead the Community team for Coursera - an online platform for courses from some of the world's best universities.

I'm originally from the UK but I now live in San Francisco and work out of the Mountain View Coursera office in Silicon Valley.

In my past life I've done a variety of things. I was a science teacher for a few years, had a handmade jewelry business for a few years and did some freelance blogging and recipe/food photography.

I created my first online community over 10 years ago (a WoW Guild) long before I knew it was a valid career path but I've been a professional Community Manager since 2013.

I've been working on community at Coursera for almost 3 years now. We currently have a few contributor communities but we think a site-wide community around the various subjects we offer courses in is going to be much more impactful in supporting our learners and our business.

We currently use a forums tool that was built in-house and is veeeeery limited so I'm really excited to get our communities switched over to inSided and start growing!

Also excited to meet you all and learn from you, hopefully I can help some of you in some way as well.

I'm knowledge manager actually, so I hear a lot on Coursera every conference or event 🙂 Too popular and too famous online trainings platform. Sometimes I also say during my own presentation "Everyone of you took some courses on coursera, I guess" 🙂 So, hope your community will grow rapidly. People need more courses 🙂
