Dear Community,

We are glad to be in the team that is empowered to build an inSided community, together with all of you. Hereby we would like to introduce ourselves, and hope to read more about you too!

I am Denise and I'm part of the inSided family since 2010. Right now I am in the Marketing department, but before I was a Consultant for five years and got to work many great customers and their communities like NS, T-Mobile and Eneco. For me this community is a great opportunity to stay in touch with all of you. Within inSided I will be responsible for making this community succesful and making sure we're all aligned and involved in this community.

Hi everybody,

I'm Jihane and I'm the new community manager for Simyo (a telecom provider in the Netherlands). I've been working for Simyo for roughly two years. I was active as a social media agent, meaning that my efforts were divided between being a forum moderator and doing customer service via Twitter, Facebook, et cetera.

I'm 27 years old, live in Amsterdam and have just finished my MSc in Psychology. I'm incredibly excited to take on this new challenge. I've been looking around for a bit and can't wait to learn from all of you and get inspired by everyone.

I've always been a cheerful, politically-inclined idealist. My mental battery gets charged by socializing with warm people, but I also enjoy reading and watching movies. I'm always up for interesting conversations 🙂

Happy to be here!

Thanks @Julian!

Excited about this project, I also have the feeling that a site-wide community will have a positive impact on the experience of your customers!

Me too! Yes, I think it's going to really make a big difference!

Hope you will find everything you need to know to get started with your community. If not, please let us know! We're always looking for inspiration for new, interesting content to publish here. :)

I've been poking around, there are a lot of great resources here - very helpful! Will definitely ask if I don't see something though.

Hi @Jihane nice to meet you! Very cool that you have a degree in psychology - I think that must be so helpful for community management or anything similar. What little I know has already come in really handy and I'm always trying to learn more.

Hi @Claire! Thanks for the warm welcome 🙂 Yeah, I totally agree! After all, psychology is about understanding people and communities are all about people.

Hey guys! Just introducing myself, I'm Tom and I'm a Product Specialist at inSided - I've just moved from London to start work at inSided here in Amsterdam! Im sure a lot of you will get to know me on the support desk - ill be the one picking up any questions or issues you guys raise :)

My own background mostly consists of various software engineering roles at financial companies in London.

After growing weary due to 12 years in London I decided to make the switch and come to the Netherlands (swapping a 2 hour commute for a 15 minute bike ride was a no brainer!) I'll be combining my business and technical mindset to help answer any questions or resolve any issues that you may have.

Looking forward to speaking with you all!

Hi everyone,

My name is Laura, I've just joined Coursera in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Community Manager. I'll be working with @Claire to engage Coursera learners in a site-wide community where they can get support in meeting their learning goals.

Prior to this I was Facebook Content and Community Manager for Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand. I'm American but I lived in Luxembourg as a child, where I attended an international school. I love that online communities can foster rich intercultural dialogue.

I have a Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on leadership for organizational and community practice. I also have Bachelor of Arts degrees in creative writing and French.

My professional background includes writing/editing/proofreading, international education, educational travel, and social-behavioral health research. I'm also passionate about – and committed to – social and ecological justice.

Communities, at their best, are drivers of major positive social and personal change. I try to keep this big picture vision in mind as I work through the day-to-day elements of community engagement.

I'm glad to be here, and I look forward to learning from you all!

Hello everyone, I'm Helene, I've joined Deezer a couple of months ago now. I've been a community manager for a long time now, starting in 2011 with my own French-speaking community dedicated to the BBC's hit series Sherlock, before moving to London in 2015 to work on an exciting new project for Airbnb, the Community Centre.

Passionate about the Entertainment industry and social media, I'm very excited to join this community to learn more about the platform and its features.

Hello all! 👋🏼

Marko here, moderator and customer service representative for Elisa Finland ☺️ I've been hanging in our OmaYhteisö (formerly Palsta) as a moderator for a bit over one and half years now and I've also been doing customer service in our social media channels while doing that. Before that I've been doing normal CC so that I've now been for five years in Elisa.

I've been a huge tech geek pretty much my whole life (33 years now) so social media and forums come quite naturally 😅 When I'm not tinkering with PC's and electronic, I like to spend time with my family (wife and two year old son), listen and play music and ofc I'm a gamer too 💻

By the way, gotta say it's nice to be on this side of the platform also 😊 Usually I'm looking only the moderation side of the platform and rarely checking on the public side to see how it seems to our customers
