I have not found a way to do the following... Can surveys be enhanced to...
(1) be able to insert links in a question or associate a link to the picture... to allow the reader access to links where they can check out complementary information before they respond. So in this case, I would point to urls where they can view samples of the mailings offered.
(2) to allow a response to a question to be prefilled with a token? This would allow us to present the current information when revalidating private information.
Thank you for advising with an ETA
Thanks for sharing both the use cases.
a. For the first use case , the workaround customers currently use is to take a screenshot of the instructions and attach that as a image to the question so that the survey respondent is aware of the context behind the question. This does not completely solve the problem if the instruction you want to share is more detailed.
b. Could you explain the second use case little bit in detail? Is the use case about allowing tokens in questions or answers?
Thanks
Abhishek S
I believe for the second use case, the request is for surveys to function similarly to forms that are prepopulated with the data that already exists for that field?
Such as first name, last name, those fields would automically have first name and last name tokenized.
Hello,
We have a LMS (Learning Management System) that runs eLearning courses, and we would like to embed the Survey URL generated by Gainsight at the end of each eLearning courses, and want to prepopulate the survey fields like First Name, Last Name, email address, Company Name, and Course Name, etc that are already known to the LMS.
If URL parameters are supported on Gainsight Survey URLs, by which the LMS can pass these data to the survey on Gainsight to prepopulate these on behalf of users, it would be great.
For example, I’m imagining something like below:
Thanks,
Shinichi
Hi Shinichi,
We don’t currently support survey url parameters. It’s possible to embed an anonymous link though if it’s not important to uniquely identify each person/response, but it doesn’t look like that’s what you want here. There is an alternative we can explore: If your LMS supports webhooks, we could use it to trigger a Journey Orchestrator Program, which in turn could deliver a survey request to the person that just completed an eLearning course.
Thanks,
Manu
