It would save our users time if they could see any corresponding field-level Help text that exists in Salesforce, in Gainsight as well, e.g. report column headers need further description. Today users have to click the "eye" to open up the full record in Salesforce, find the Help text (?) there, then navigate back to Salesforce.
Hi there, Often times when a long message is quoted the conversation gets more and more difficult to follow. Just think of someone who quotes a whole article with the word ‘agree’. Any follow up quotes will make the thread incredibly long and you have to scroll down to read just one sentence or word. See image below: Moreover, I don’t think anyone needs to see the entire quote, perhaps an extract is enough. So I can suggest a couple of ways to improve this:Make all quotes short and nicely formated (show the first one or two lines) and allow to expand/read the whole quote if necessary through a dropdown button - seen this in other forums. Allow users to quote only selected text, as opposed to the entire message - seen this in other forums. Make quotes lighter by default so they can be easily distinguished from the reply. This can make threads much easier to follow and allow higher quality interactions. De nada :D
I’d like to allow community members to choose a Product Area when creating a new Idea. This will allow us to easily assign Ideas to a Product Manager. At the moment it appears this must be populated by a moderator.
I could have sworn I posted about this before, but I cannot find it. In the Execution Logs, Can we please have the headers for each column displayed in the records tab vs just having a map in the Execution Summary? Mapped on Execution Summary: Unmapped on the Failed Records tab: It may seem like a little thing, but it’s a pain to have to flip back and forth between the tabs to identify which column is which. If you are able to do the mapping on the Execution Summary, then I have to believe it’s possible to go the extra step to correctly identify the columns within the records tab(s). It would make this easier on admins when troubleshooting.
Posting on behalf of a customer: I would my users to have the ability to drag the bot around the UI as they are working. They may need to refer to documentation as they are working in our product and would like to refer to it as they are working.
Most ETL tools allow you to use the SFDC API to write a STRING or TEXT type field into a PICKLIST, where the value will write over if it finds a like match, or will just not write the value if it does find a match. I'd like to see what we can do to make this happen in our Rules Engine. If I have a STRING field in the MDA, and I need to write that data to either Gainsight or SFDC, and one of those fields on the object is a picklist, i have to create one action for each picklist value and use a combination of + CUSTOM FIELD and CRITERIA to get that value to write in. This is inconvenient, especially for one of the customers I am working with where they have 5 picklist fields. Each picklist has anywhere from 4-8 values, so at a minimum I need multiple rules and multiple actions to manage this. Looking for thoughts on this!
In the new Ideation module it is now possible to filter on a specific status or product. This is already very helpful. It would be great if it would also be possible (in the front-end) to filter on multiple statuses or products.Example for products: as a user I only work with 2 of the 6 products, so ideas for these products are the only ideas I'm interested in.Example for ideas: I want to check which ideas are not on the product development backlog yet. Therefore, I want to see all ideas with status new, open or under review.
I know some topics have “Known Issue” in the subject, but can there be a GS staff moderated tag or something where we peons can view what the known bug issues are? I had one come up today, and asked in the support chat if it was a known issue and it was. So that was easy to move on with my life, but if there was an easy way to check first before having to use support resources that would be killer. If there is one, please roast me and let me know where it is.
I would love the ability for a Super Admin to have an additional menu (three dots?) appear when on a 360 to be able to make edits or delete that Company or Relationship from right there. It’s really cumbersome to have to go to Data Operations from there in order to make the appropriate edits, or to maintain a whole other 360 layout including certain fields as editable in order to make minor edits that admins may need to be end users should not be allowed to. End Proctoring-
Our CS team would like to be able to adjust the type on a timeline entry. The reasons why this comes up: Sometimes they choose the incorrect type when logging something in timeline. We have a few scorecard measures that work off of specific timeline types so if they choose the incorrect one, the measure has potential to be incorrect. Ex. we are looking at last engagement date for the last time a phone/meeting was logged. if they choose update instead of call/meeting, this wouldn't get calculated into the health score. As we have been building out our adoption of Gainsight, we have added new types along the way. We have some things that have been logged that we would've like to be able to re-categorize under these new types.
It would be helpful if you could add configuration to be able to define the order of fields in the cockpit list view. While it is great to have the fields chosen saved between sessions...having the order set would be helpful. Multiple new customers have brought this up.
Due to the nature of the contacts in my meetings/emails, many of my emails sent to Gainsight end up in draft. It would be very helpful to be able to take these drafts from global timeline and attach them to a CTA (not just company/relationship). Is this on the roadmap?
Our CSMs are asking for help in making their Cockpit experience more manageable. Some have been manually editing CTA/Task names to include a brief note to help jog their memory at a quick glance of the Cockpit list view. But this is breaking some of our processes. (See https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/playbooks-need-the-ability-to-lock-the-playbook-so-it-cannot-be-edited-by-end-users) Is it possible to have a truncated version of the CTA Comments (or Task Comments - https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/cockpit-create-a-comment-field-at-the-task-level) show up in the Cockpit List View if any comments exist on that CTA or task? Clunky mockup: This would help CSMs at a glance know what is going on with each CTA/Task, aside from simply snoozing or changing the date.
Hi team, Posting this here for broader visibility of our customers. When we make a picklist in SFDC as inactive and map this field under activity sync, synced task/event is able to use the inactive value at the time of task creation. Please see below video for more details.https://share.getcloudapp.com/bLu0xjNG
We currently use the PX KC bot for product guidance. It is nice that the content (KC articles, docs, etc.,) is rendered within the PX widget itself. However, when the content has hyperlinks (pointing to external URLs), on clicking them, the user is taken away from the product to a new window or tab. It’d be nice to have those content rendered within the widget itself. Once the user navigates to another window or tab, it’d be difficult for engaging them back to the PX widget especially in the case of many hyperlinks. This can be improved from experience & goal standpoint of PX.
Posting on behalf of customer.Currently programs are scheduled to send out emails at predetermined intervals. Customer is asking for the ability to send out emails manually from the program config instead of waiting the x number of days before sending them out.An example would be: Next email in program is scheduled to be sent out 3 days from today but customer would like the ability to send out the email that would be sent out 3 days from now today instead.
Hello Teams! This is Logan from Support. I've recently come across a customer use case that surprised me to find we were not able to build at this time. In Reports 2.0, we have a feature that allows for "Custom Colors" to be used in reports. But to effectively have your colors show in reports, you have to make sure that the Source Object in the "Color Configuration" area is the exact same as the Source Object in the Report that you're building. https://gainsight.zendesk.com/attachments/token/1unqrmKSpHKqhG73Wc3n2Scqb/?name=Screen+Shot+2017-09-07+at+3.29.22+PM+%281%29.png So in the above configuration, these fields will only show their configured colors if the report is built off of the Scoring Scheme Definition object. However, the Scoring Scheme Definition does not contain the desired fields to build a proper report. https://gainsight.zendesk.com/attachments/token/wAwcoCWCagmtz5MIDONB907DI/?name=inline853332694.png Company fields cannot be called into a report when built off of Scoring Scheme Definition. It would be beneficial if our Color Configuration was for these fields no matter how they were pulled into the report. So Scoring Scheme Definition fields would still reflect their custom colors even when pulled into a report built off of the Company Object. https://gainsight.zendesk.com/attachments/token/R0Hul5xhkz7T6vcrXCKAnANJf/?name=inline515476574.png https://gainsight.zendesk.com/attachments/token/aYeflIvTmdwcXdoesaCdpRCBu/?name=inline263850903.png Thanks for the consideration! Also, if there's configurational changes that I'm unaware of that would help our customer achieve their desired results, please let us know! Take care, Logan Thome
Currently there is an all or nothing policy for attachments included within communities. If you can see the post with an attachment you can download the file. We need the ability to restrict who can download attachments based on either the default roles or custom roles.Currently the functionality required is available for comments. E.g. being able to make comments is enabled on a category basis for each default role or customised role.Use case:We need to be able to make our forums publicly viewable but also be able to restrict the downloading/viewing of attachments to specific membership categories. We may however, choose to allow some attachments to be available to unregistered users.Permission Example
I’m embarrased for even posting this, but today I couldn’t find the Schedule button for rule chains. I use Gainsight quite a bit, but haven’t spent much time with rule chains. I looked high, I looked low. I went into each rule.My only question at the end was why is the button waaay over here? I understand there are often things to do in that part of the screen, but that’s so far in right field relative to the other information you’re practically in another stadium. Maybe we can move it closer, or have a schedule button next to the run button down here on the rule chain?
Posting on behalf of customer.During rule configuration if you have fetch’s that don’t have any filters rules engine will display tooltip suggestion to make the rule more efficient. Some use cases don’t require filters on the fetch and having multiple of these suggestions on the page can cause the page to appear cluttered. It would be helpful to have a toggle to turn these suggestions on/off.
I get an excel file emailed to me every 2 weeks with our internal Gainsight users and their page clicks into Gainsight objects by day. Currently, this excel sheet is very hard to read as we have about 300 internal users. I take the excel file and sum the count of page views under the rep name. I then transpose the data on another sheet so I can sort by Rep and Count of Views to find my highest and lowest users. I think companies might get more use out of these bi-weekly check ins if there was a summary of page or table.
