Many times it is hard to see what accounts we are relating activities to because we can only see the name in the search view when relating an activity to an account. It would be nice to allow the search view to include other account attributes like account number, etc. ALSO a big win for us would be to add a "My Accounts" dropdown based on account owner so that we can quickly choose which account we want to relate an activity to instead of searching for it. It would just be nice to quickly select my accounts instead of having to search for them. Not sure what's the best way? Any other thoughts?  

I ran into an issue with a customer that has a survey out and we cannot size the field to view the whole comment like we can for other questions. See the image. The top questions is a check box and has a comment section added that can be dynamically resized. However the bottom question is comment ONLY and cannot be resized to see the whole comment. It would be a huge convenience to be able to resize and view the whole thing!  

I like to be able to quickly create a CTA and come back to it later. This keeps me from having to enter things in other tools or writing them down. When I come back, I can then figure out what to do with it, what type it is, what playbook, etc. I would like an option to convert the task to an objective in an existing success plan. I could see some kind of a window to select which success plan you want to add it to.

As a CSM, I need to create email communication from any CTA without creating a new blank playbook CTA so I can effectively communicate with the client about important issues.

Currently a user can search for a phrase and get a search results list based on the inSided relevance set. That's it. In a community with a hundred thousand topics and more it's not easy to get the result you need only relying on the "algorithm". Improvement: Give the users ability to filter/sort by content type, age of the content and other options.

Can we tag internal users in our timeline.This is more inlines of Chatter feature of salesforce. So that tagged people would be notified as we would want them go thru the notes posted in timeline.

Wouldn't it be awesome if open CTAs assigned to me could be sycned with a Trello board so that I can manage my CS tasks with the rest of the tasks that I manage within Trello.   Red areas are manual trello boards and yellow area is data populated from Gainsight Cockpit.  Taking a step further would to be able to create CTAs in Gainsight directly from the Trello board by implementing a power up https://developers.trello.com/reference#power-ups-intro

As more and more customers are using Success Plans to manage projects, I think it would be cool and user-friendly if we considered adding the functionality to easily drag and drop tasks and/or objectives in Success Plans, similar to how you can in Trello, Smartsheets, etc. Use case: Let's say you create a 4-week project plan:  Week 1 Objective Task 1 Task 2Week 2 Objective Task 3  Task 4Week 3 Objective Task 5 Task 6Week 4 Objective Task 7 Task 8Let's say Task 1 slips into Week 2. It'd be cool to just drag and drop it from Week 1 Objective to Week 2 Objective rather than having to leave it under Week 1 or delete it and re-add manually under Week 2. 

It would be great to have checkboxes that allow multiple Tasks to be deleted under a CTA at once! Some Playbooks include lots of Tasks and the CSM must individually delete each one that is not relevant for the specific situation at hand with the CTA for that customer. Either that or close each of them, which indicates they were completed and that may not be accurate. Having the ability to delete multiple Tasks at once would be a big click saver and potentially allow for more accurate tracking of Task completion.  

Currently it is impossible to create a button that has a different border color on hover than on default. Example of expected settings: -> default -> Button color: white, font-color: red, border color: red -> hover -> button color: white, font-color: blue, border color: blue It's not possible to define a border color for the hover state. This is a basic design element that we would like to have implemented.

With the new data types available in the MDA, we now have the need to update existing data to these new field types for clean and easy to read reporting of revenues and various items that are a % value. The issue that we are running into is that there are not enough unique identifiers to write a rule to move data to a new data type and deleting all our data (well over millions of lines) and reloading it is also not feasible or scale-able for whenever enhancements are made. We also have an instance were we were receiving a value in the full % but when trying to move the data to a new data type of %, the value of 100 moves to 10,000%. To really make use of these new data types and any future enhancements, there needs to be the capability to:  Migrate data to a new data type where applicable (i.e. Number to Percent, Number to Currency).  The ability to determine if you data is already displayed in a % or if it needs to be x100 to get to the %. Without this type of flexi

Currently, when we pass a URL through a process in Gainsight such as Rules or MDA loads, the hyperlink itself gets stripped from the text, and we are left with just the text version of the hyperlink. It would be great if we could have a way to pass URLs through our processes and maintain the clickabiity of the hyperlink itself.

Are custom fields on Timeline Activities able to have dependencies on each other? These would be dependent custom fields on Timeline Activities, functioning as Field Dependencies do in Salesforce. As an example, if the Type = Call, then the Subtype options would display = Strategy Session, Progress Update, etc.  However, if the Type = Email, then the Subtype options would display = Operational Check-In, Contract Renewal, etc. Let us know your thoughts on this.

Is there a reason the Manager field in MDA User object isn't mapped as User ID? Since it is a standard field, we can't edit, but without this, we can't do any "Current User" filters. Right now, the only workaround I see is creating a custom one and populating using normal Gainsight Connect field mappings. This is okay - but can be confusing when you have two manager fields. Let me know if I am missing something!

Hi all, It recently came about via the support channel that, when linking an Opportunity to a CTA, for example, we only respect searching on a specific opportunity id when we are linking to an existing one. If you want create a newOpportunity or want to populate the same Opp in one of the fields on a CTA, it will search by name and fetches all the opportunities within the opportunity object. It appears this is essentially ignoring the lookup filter. If a user has a referential constraint in SF, shouldn't this be enforced within the UI?As an example - say we have 1,000 accounts and each account has 0 - 5 opportunities and we link the opportunities to their account. When selecting opportunities to link to, we should be limited to those 0-5 opportunities respective to that account, rather than all opportunities, correct? It seems that we allow a CTA to be linked to an Opportunity that belongs to a different customer. Shouldn't the lookup only search for Opportunities that are lin

Our CSMs would like "chains" of emails logged in Timeline to show with oldest at the top, and newest at the bottom, like Gmail and Outlook handle email. Currently, having the newest at the top makes it hard for people not directly involved with the issue/topic to get context- they have to go through backscroll to find the primary topic. It's also the opposite of how much systems display email chains, so it would just be more a more seamless UX for those switching between email providers and Gainsight.  (If there's a way to do this that I missed, please let me know!)

Does anyone know if there is a way to comingle values for score measures that exist in two different scorecards into the same report? I have a CSM Sentiment score that now lives in two scorecards.   It seems redundant to have to create two different reports to identify accounts where the CSM Sentiment is set.  Hoping someone has found another way.

Ability to add Fields on Graph Report Detail Section without having to wait until the data is present.

I know that we can migrate bionic rules via X org migration utility but currently we cannot migrate success plan rules via this utility. So, is there any future plan to include this ability?

There are a few similar posts out but wanted to put this one to internal. One big thing I have dealt with recently is having to change field data types in MDA objects. If I'm not mistaken, we used to be able to change field types without deleting dependencies, just deleting data which wasn't too bad. Now, from everything I've seen, you have to delete any dependency which can really cause problems. This includes reports, rules, and S3 jobs in all of my situations which leads to a ton of rework. These can be pretty time consuming to rebuild.  As other posts have said, it would also be nice to delete fields all together. 

I have a customer that would like to be able to add a timeline entry (potentially a CTA also) to track to do lists outside of linking to an account.  I find that this could be very beneficial as Gainsight could keep track of more than just the account but also a "to do" list for daily/weekly/monthly tasks.

The dashboard and reporting tools are helpful but we have run into a gap in the ability to drill down into data.  The current capabilities allow you to build a visual report (i.e. bar, line, pie) and click on data elements to see the line items backing the data.  However, when analyzing larger data sets it is sometimes too much data to look at when you drill straight into the detail.  An ideal approach would allow you to click on a data point in a parent report and it drills into a child report that is filtered based on what data point is selected.  For example, our organization has an MDA data set of all the activity for a client by contact throughout the year (i.e. Demos, Webinars, Conferences, Exec Meetings).  We have a client dashboard that shows activity by quarter by client.  (see below)  Currently we can only click on an element and drill down to detail items including the contact, activity name and date.  We have built additional repo

It would really be useful to be able to set a future start date for a CTA within a success plan.  I'm trying to mimic a "Gantt Chart" of sorts from an excel spreadsheet that our onboarding team is currently working out of, and I can't see where I could set up "upcoming" CTAs in the success plan.  This is, essentially, what I'm trying to achieve: Something where, from the example above, you could be looking at the Gantt Chart on 7/1 and see that you have some items that are planned to start in a few weeks.  From what I can see, we're only able to base the tasks off of the assigned/created date of the Success Plan, or more specifically the date that Success Plan Template was assigned.  It sure would be great to show our customers when we plan to start on a particular objective....
