Afternoon!

Went to access the New Dashboards today get this error:

“Your Gainsight access is currently restricted due to authentication settings. Please contact your Gainsight/CC admin for assistance.”

I’ve not made any changes to my Gainsight account, so not sure what’d be causing it!

 

Any ideas?

Just to update: I now get a blank screen. I’m using the latest version of Safari and Mac OS.

Hi ​@Matthew Thompson, I am working to resolve this issue and would appreciate some information from you.

  • Have you tried logging in again after the page failed to load?

  • Does this problem occur only when your session has been inactive for a few hours, or does it happen every time you attempt to log in?

  • Have you tested with a different browser, and if so, are you experiencing the same issue there?

Your assistance in checking these points and letting me know the results would be very helpful.

Hi ​@ashish.lal,

I’ve just tried it on Safari Incognito, had to log-in fresh and same result. Microsoft Edge on Mac does load now, but this is not my preferred browser and Safari was working before.

@Aleksandra I’m back in. Another customer shared a “hack” with me where I just need to log out and log back in to get access again

I had the error, then got it the dashboards. 

However this was short lived as for the past week i have lost access again.

Hi ​@alan.edwards 

It sounds like you might have a stale session. Try logging out and then back in to see if that fixes the issue.

Let us know if it still doesn't work.

I ran into the same issue today.  It worked after I logged out and re-authenticated again via SSO.  It might be good if they included that instruction in the activation email.

@Aleksandra I am getting the restricted error again today after I established a new session yesterday.  Are we required to log off and on again with SSO every time we want to use this feature? I don’t normally have to re-authenticate to work within the Control environment.

@emiller I understand it's not the ideal user experience, but yes, you'll need to log off and log back in with SSO each time to use this feature.
