Mobile First! Recap of our inSided mobile week 2018Mobile

You are reading this on a Desktop PC. There is nothing wrong about that, we also do it. However, most of your users visit your Community via their mobile device (usually 60%-80%). We want to offer a high-quality experience for all visitors, no matter what device they are using. Our fully responsive design is there to ensure that every user can enjoy the community, even on smaller screens. As we constantly improve the platform we also have to make sure that the experience on smaller screens remains good. This is why our product team organized the "mobile week" @ inSided: During the mobile week we wanted to access our own (internal) Community as much as possible via mobile, in order to spot those issues which are only visible to people who access via their smartphones. We had two goals: To boost the mobile usage during this week from 15% to more than 50%. To receive as many reports on bugs / layout issues as possible, so that we can optimize the mobile experience even more. We ar

Is it feasible to be both a Salesforce admin and Gainsight admin?

We have just signed up with Gainsight and I am the designated admin. We have also only recently implemented Salesforce (only Opportunities) for our Sales team, however our Salesforce admin has left. I'm considering stepping into the breach and taking on Salesforce admin as well. I have no experience of Salesforce. Would it be too much to take on admin for both? What kind of time does it take to get a decent grasp of Salesforce (and what are the best training resources to do so). Really appreciate any feedback. Thank you!

Email notifications from different Get Satisfaction communities

Not sure if this is the place to surface this, but in within the past week or so, I've started to get email notifications from random Get Satisfaction communities for places that I follow here in the Gainsight community.  e.g. I got an email today about a post in Appery.io's community because it was posted in [i]Product News & Updates and I follow Product News & Updates in this community. What's weird to me is that I've never been to Appery.io's community and somehow I have a profile there with my contact info. Is this something that's to be expected? I had originally thought that I was getting random phishing emails that looked a lot like Gainsight community emails, but after looking at one a bit more, I realized that these were just emails from a different community.

Mention or tag another community member?

Does the Gainsight Community software support the tagging or mentioning of another user? I find myself occasionally wanting to reply to a specific item in a thread or call out a specific user, but cannot see if / how the Community supports tagging a user (for example, @Matthew Lind, if I somehow wanted to get my own attention).

Back-end Shortcut Workaround

Hey guys, following the last Innovation Lab and the comments about a back-end shortcut I thought this community would be the right place to share the workaround we use at Sonos. This will work if you are a Google Chrome user but you might have other ways to implement it on other web browsers. The trick is to replace the Chrome Home button by the shortcut. 1. Activate the home button: Go to the Chrome Settings > Appearance and activate Show Home Button 2. Modify the following code by replacing the Sonos url with yours: code:var url = window.location.toString();window.location = url.replace(/en.community.sonos.com/, 'sonos-en.insided.com'); 3. Click on 'Change', select 'Open this page', paste the code and press OK. Now you should be good to go. Please keep in mind that it will work only if you are in a front-end topic page. This will not work in you are in the home or a sub-forum page. I hope this helps you guys in your daily operations, if you have any issues with the code and your

Who do you want to give a Christmas Compliment Card to?

At inSided, we have a nice tree and we got the opportunity to give each other compliments by hanging a compliment card for a colleague in the Christmas tree. And then we thought; we want to give you the opportunity to hand out compliments too! So: who would you like to send on Chrismas Holiday with a good feeling? Product Demo Video for non-CSM Viewers

I am introducing Gainsight to my Professional Services division. They will not be Gainsight users so I am looking for a high-level "what is Gainsight" video. I plan to do a demo of our specific instance but want a quick salesy video (under 2 mins) to show before diving into our own org. I found this old product demo video but am wondering if you have this exact video available in a more current version (this video is 3 yrs old)?
