What Are You Building with Gainsight MCP? The Community Is Already Doing a Lot
This thread is one worth bookmarking.
Community member Sanne van Opstal-Brakel connected Gainsight to Claude via MCP last week and has already built four working agents:
- Community Agent: weekly and monthly community health reports, including posts at risk
- Voice of Customer listener: scans community posts for feedback signals and turns them into themed reports for Product, PMM, and CSM teams
- Advocacy Agent: identifies members with high advocacy potential, scores their readiness, and drafts personalised outreach messages
- Engagement Agent: flags members at churn risk and writes individual re-engagement or appreciation messages for each one
Then Sarah Masterton-Brown added another layer: using Claude to cross-reference community search terms that returned no results with the most frequent knowledge-gap support tickets — and generating a weekly prioritised content plan from the overlap. Claude can even write the content.
The thread is still active and growing. If you're experimenting with MCP or thinking about where to start, this is the best real-world starting point in the community right now.

Customise Your Member Profile Popup — Built with Claude in Minutes
Two small UX improvements that make a noticeable difference for members browsing your community.
Community member Aaron White asked whether it was possible to default the member profile hover popup to the About tab (instead of Badges) and extend the hover trigger to usernames, not just profile images. Community member akhilv solved both with a short custom script — built using Claude — dropped into Third Party Scripts and Custom CSS.
The result: members see the most relevant profile information immediately on hover, and the popup works whether they hover over a name or an avatar.
If you've been looking for a quick way to improve the member browsing experience without a platform update, this is worth a few minutes of your time.
