The problem:Many picklists in our instance of Salesforce have a difference between the value and the label. For example, the value for Account.Type may be something like 12860112, while the label for that value is “Customer”.This causes us problems when creating Bionic rules that query objects in Salesforce that have picklists like this. Instead of getting the friendly label “Customer”, we get the numeric representation of this value, which is not helpful when mapping to a picklist in Gainsight. We have to create super long custom mappings in our rule actions in order to even sync this data. Example:This pseudocode below further illustrates my issue. When I execute the SOQL query in Salesforce like this:SELECT Type FROM AccountLIMIT 1;I get the result: 12860112But when I execute the query here:SELECT toLabel(Type) FROM AccountLIMIT 1;I get the result: CustomerThe request:Throughout Gainsight (rules engine, connector sync jobs, data designer, etc) give us the ability to apply the “toLabel” function (as outlined above) to any given field with a picklist data type. This would allow us to retrieve the friendly value that users actually see in Salesforce, and allow us to auto-map the field in Gainsight.
Why the heck was the Delta process totally missed in the design of X-org 2.0? This completely makes us miss Horizon assets when trying to compare with production when preparing for a refresh.
Hey, PX team!Localization is a crucial business function for our company, however, we’ve been running into a significant challenge when it comes to the XLIFF files exported from our engagements in PX. Not only do these files often contain unnecessary HTML clutter, but it also breaks up text strings if there’s different font formatting (bold, italic, etc) - making it difficult for our team of localizers to work efficiently. We believe there are a few ways that can improve this:@JPKelliher has recently suggested something that our team strongly agrees would improve localization workflow since it would give context to our localizers. This is the suggestion: “Pass thumbnail images with the XLIFF file for translation tools to show the screenshot of the text along with the raw text file.” In addition, we are currently using the CrowdIn plugin for automating the process, yet the XLIFF files are either loaded with broken strings mid-sentence, or are full of clutter. If the file was set up in a cleaner way that ultimately doesn’t generate confusion to the localizers and/or significantly delay their workflow, it would really help our processes. We hope and appreciate your time considering this improvement, as it would greatly benefit our localization efforts.@MBragle @link_black
There should at least be a way to include Rich Text fields in a report filter to determine whether or not the field has any text in it. For example, if I want to run a report for any Company where the Summary field is NOT NULL, I can’t do that.
Hi all,Much like we’re able to attach two companies to one timeline entry from within the timeline entry, I’d like Gainsight Assist to support that feature too to avoid having to go back and edit every new timeline email entry I create with Gainsight Assist. It’s quite cumbersome having to do that. Here’s the idea: Toggle to choose if single company or multiple company (or relationship) entry If multiple, selection option as above for primary record display additional selection to select the associated record (same list of records as in the primary section Thanks for considering that enhancement!
Now that we have Timeline in Scorecard, would be great if I could have a timeline activity type that would only show in the Scorecard view. Use Case: I have specific details I want end users to capture when tracking subjective sentiment, so I want to create fields on a custom Activity Type to be ONLY used when manually updating the Scorecard. I have to activate that custom type at the Account level for it to show up as an option in Scorecard - but that results in it also being available on the Account Timeline - I don’t want end users to capture the details there, because then it’s not tied to a score measure.
If a success plan type is set as inactive via Success Plan Configuration then I can’t create templates, add objective types etc This means I have to set it to active to work on it, but I just want to be able to make changes, i.e. create new plan types along with all associated settings, that should not yet be visible/selectable for end-users. two new plan types we are currently building outcan’t select them to create a templateand can’t select them to create an objective category
Background: The modules in PX’s Product Map allow you to organize your product’s features into different sections - these can be by feature area, product team, customer entitlement, etc. The PX Adoption report closely aligns with the Product Map’s structure. This is nice for organization, but not always the most efficient way to arrive at key insights. Problem: There’s no quick way to find the most and least used features in each module. Grouping by feature shows me data across all modules, but exploring the Product Map on the Adoption page does not show me data across nested modules. If I were to try to find the most used Analytics feature in PX, my two options would be:Group by feature: need to ignore features from other modules (ie. Engagements) Explore by module: need to click through each submodule within the PX analytics module to find the most used feature (ie. Query Builder vs. Funnel vs. Dashboards)Request: Allow us to group by feature within a specific module. For example, ‘Group by Feature in Analytics module’ would quickly show me PX’s most frequently used Analytics feature
We want to grant permissions to some of our CSM team to be able to view and create reports in Report Builder, using this approach, so that the admins don't always have to be asked to pull reports for them. I was hoping to be able to manage the repository by only allowing these users access to certain folders. For example, we have many reports that exist on dashboards and the 360, that we don't want these users to make changes to. It would be nice if they could have "permission" to only view/create reports within a specific folder in the repository so that the entire repository wouldn't be flooded. Is this something that is currently possible? If not, any plans for further granularity when it comes to allowing access to Report Builder?
We are using a program to send a bi-weekly, exception style email to our CSMs to give insights into areas of Gainsight to help with account maintenance. I can only see it possible to schedule programs daily, weekly and monthly. Can we have more flexibility in scheduling? We require to send this every 2 weeks. Weekly is too much and monthly, not enough.
Hi Team, In Multi Currency orgs, When we build Data designer and add currency fields we are displaying the values with Corporate currency for currency, if its of different currency then we are converting them into Corporate currency and displaying them. But users reached out to us requesting to display them in local currency instead of Conversion. Can you please look into this and see if this can be added in future roadmap. Thanks, Prathap
It would be super helpful if we changed the default 'name' fields on all the standard objects to include something more descriptive. If you are searching through fields or a filter when building a report, it is extremely difficult to pin point certain fields because they are all called name. The Account Name, Relationship Name, Measure Name, etc all just say 'name'. Especially for beginners, this is extremely tough to use. If we could append the object name in front of the 'name' that feels like it would help a lot, especially as we will be coming out with more objects and standard joins. A good example from a scorecard report:
Sometimes our Snowflake data source can take some time to process. Scheduling this becomes a nightmare when trying to plan multiple dependent processes and even just the ones within Gainsight cannot be viewed in a single execution timeline. In order to ensure nothing is missed, it would be great if we could have an endpoint to poke Gainsight from external systems to have it then run Adoption Explorer jobs.
Currently, I have to set separate share schedules on reports for my global CS leaders based on my knowledge of their individual locales. It would be great if I could do this more systematically based on their User record Locale or Time Zone. This gives them the control.
When you clone a playbook, the new experience keeps you in the playbook that you are cloning from instead of the new one. It should be consistent with the experience everywhere else you clone and take you into the new one.
Hi All, This is a small ask, but would it be possible to sort email templates in alphabetical order when sending via email assist? With a lot of email templates available it can be inconvenient for end-users to scroll through the list to find the email they are trying to send. If the templates were sorted by name it would be a much better user experience. Thanks!
Within the People Section for C360 and R360, there is a column called “Tracking Status”. The location of that column within the layout cannot be adjusted nor can it be removed completely. The ask here is that the “Tracking Status” column be able to be edited -- to be removed or at least be able to change placement on the table so we can move it to the end. We are not currently utilizing Sponsor Tracking, so you can see in the image below that it is just a big blank column front and center for our users. It is very inconvenient as it blocks other valuable information from being seen first.
What happened to Fluid layout in email template builder? There are so many valid use cases for wanting a “fluid” style for your email. It was what I used most often because it looked like a casual email between a CSM and their customer even if it was automated through a journey. The “fixed” layout style (which we seem to be stuck with in the new template builder) looks crafted and commercialized. Creating this as an Idea as I’ve heard it’s not possible to do a “fluid” layout in the new builder, but I hope I am mistaken and can be corrected!Notes:I have 0pt border on email template body and email content area (no padding) Email still sends to me in a “centered” way
Note Templates are great. Would love to be able to report on activities that used a note template since we cannot enforce the use by Activity Timeline and can really only provide guidance.
