Can Gainsight please change the “Name” fields in standard/system objects to reflect from which object it is coming?i.e. Company Name, Company Person Name, Person Name, Measure Name, User Name, Sc Scheme Name, etc? When traversing lookups, it is so easy to inadvertently select the wrong field.
I create an idea previously for improving the migration tokens and would like to have a way to link the sandbox to production instance once so that admins don’t have to enter the migration token each time they migrate something. It would be incredibly helpful if we could also track each deployment within target orgs. Currently when you migrate changes, all logs and information on what was deployed exists only in the source org. If the source org is ever removed or future admins don’t have access, they will not be able to view this information. Within other systems, when you deploy changes to a target org, the migration package details are logged in the target or as well. And you often have the ability to approve the changes in the target org before they go live. 1. Target Org Migrations ListCould we get a place in Production orgs where we can sell all changes which have been migrated to the org. Similar to the migrations list in the source org, this list should show all migrations that were sent to the target org. These would show up as inbound migrations ready for approval. 2. Track which Migrations were Approved in ProductionNext, I would like the ability to track which changes are approved for release in the Target org which in my case is always Production. One the list above, it could show “Approved for Release” and “Waiting for Approval”. Once the migration package is approved, it should then be made available in the configuration settings. For example, if you migrate a dashboard, it should not be visible in the Target org until someone approves the migration package. Migration TrackingThe reason I would like these changes is so that we can better track migrations in large enterprise environments. Managing releases in larger organizations can be complicated and keeping a log of when changes were made in Production instances is incredibly important. Salesforce does this quite well and I would like to have similar features in Gainsight if possible. @darkknight, @mathieu.brillon, @Jon_Wong, @pedrocandelas, @CurtisValentine – this might help you as well as you push changes from sandboxes to production.
Hi Team, Currently we have audit logs for Low Custom objects if data is modified. Can we track the deletion of records too, so when a record is missing Customers can check the log and confirm if it’s deleted. If the above is not possible then can we have deletion logs for Objects like Company/User/Relationship and Person objects. Since this is sensitive information, logs will be very useful in this context. Thanks,Prathap
Hi Team, I am posting this on behalf of one customer. When we navigate to Sally Quick insights and configure a insight, under query filters section we are given option to chose a field from expanded look ups. Here if in case the user choses the CSM → Name and also Company → Name as query filters and if there is no option to rename them in query filters, it is hard to distinguish when we look at “Name” field. Please see below video for more details.https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOuDe6bN
Since the max records allowed on a table in Sally is 200, it would be fantastic if it defaulted to 200 while creating as opposed to defaulting to 1000...watch this video for a quick overview:
Use case: would like to fire a CTA two business days before a renewal is due, but there isn’t currently a way to search for a date that is between two and four days away, depending on the day of the week the rule runs. Similar to the way that you can choose to skip all weekends when selecting the due date variable (in the Actions of a CTA), it would be great if we could also choose to skip all weekends when querying based on a date field.
Saw a discussion on this that hasn’t been touched in 3 years. Can we get a gauge feature for reporting/ dashboards? It would work similar to the “widget” viz type, with the added requirement of setting a goal number.
Posting this on behalf of customer:Currently, we cannot change the font styles/size of the text in the speech bubble of the KC Bot. It would be great if we have this functionality to adjust the text in the speech bubble as per requirement. Thanks.
Posting on behalf of a customer. It is found that currently the Outlook or Chrome plugin supports tokens from Account, Contact, and GS Relationship. Customer Info is quite a configured object for use with Gainsight, it be nice to bring tokens from that object as well. Right now fields from that object won’t resolve in Outlook or Chrome plugin if they are attempted to be used when mapped as default token in email templates.
Is it possible to move the opt out link from the bottom of the email, and somehow tokenize or place it elsewhere in the email body, such as the signature line? This was requested because having the opt-out at the footer gives the feeling it's being sent from a marketing system vs. directly from the user. By allowing it in the signature instead, it would look more personal: Jamie Anderson 555-555-5555 jaanderson@logo.com Manage your preferences here <Logo Image>
It would be great to improve the standard PX User Profile to include more data points as well as additional Activity/Engagement date filtering options. You can get many of these metrics in the various PX Dashboards and Analytics, but having them in one place provides a quick/simple “PX User 360” view. I have mocked up some of these new metrics and changes below, but I am sure that other have many more great ideas to improve this screen in PX. So, feel free to add your comments and additional suggestions below. Thanks!
Posting on behalf of customer:Currently, the “browser usage” widget shows the number of users on the version of the browser but It would be helpful if we could drill down to see the list of users/accounts in the “browser usage” widget on dashboard.
This is purely about the visuals, not a commentary on when data points do or do not show up. Right now, using data points for reports on dashboards is a really tough sell.Problem: In the below example, this is not a particularly busy graph, however the line and column values overlap with each other and make it pretty useless. Because the experience is so hit or miss on when it is readable and when it is not, it’s almost not worth having the feature enabled at all, as your data may show up fine one day but as data refreshes it may result in something like this. If this is addressed in the new report/dashboard rollout, I will believe it when I can use it :) Solution: There should be more “awareness” between the location of where the values are placed on the primary and secondary y-axis. There should never be any overlap, and in general more consideration should be given on the readability of the data: Font size, kerning, font color on light vs dark backgrounds, etc.
The Customer 360 export function needs to be disabled in SFDC edition. It provides no value because, according to support “Our engineering team has looked into this issue at code level and confirmed that C360 export section is not possible for customization. Currently there are no active enhancements being made to this feature.” All this does is create confusion for and constant questions from our end users.
Hi team, We often create custom objects to bring together data from multiple standard/ system objects for various customer usecases. For example, to merge data from Timeline and SuccessPlan together. In these cases, we are pulling all the required fields from both Timeline and SuccessPlan objects. Instead, if there’s a lookup on to these objects based on the GSID field, we can pull the required fields based on the available lookups. Our custom objects and rules become very compact if GSID is utilised fully for cases like these.
Posting on Behalf of a customer. Currently with Engagements we can filter on Device. However, for the KC Bot, option is not available. There has been a report that KC Bot doesn’t show that well on the mobile version of a Webpage, hence the need to not show it.
Has anyone done anything similar... In the C360 we would like a link to say Google Maps on which there are pins representing customer locations. The pins would be colour coded to represent individual CSMs. The pins could either be placed manually via drag and drop or by a field lookup for the address in Gainsight. Would even be great if a small image of the location shown in Gainsight The use case would be for CSMs to be able to see a visual representation of where their accounts are so when planning a site visit they could potentially do multiple visits to customers located near to each other.
We like the ability to set the Validity Period for the measures on a Scorecard 2.0 layout. We would like to set an alert to go out to the CSM when the manual measures are no longer valid. Is this possible through any current functionality?
We are using Timeline to track out time. We would like the ability as an Admin to modify what is visible when looking at the list of all the timeline entries for an account (see picture below). We would also like the ability to modify specific items without having to open up the entire Timeline entry. An example of this would be the amount of time we spend on each timeline entry (see picture below).
Hello GS Community, There is an Older Post - But I wanted to see what all thought about this now. We moved forward with Timeline to replace some very old processes of CTAs and this one came up today. When a task is added to a CTA Timeline activity it generates a new Task on the CTA. The thought is to have an option in the 3-Dot menu of the task to ‘Convert Task to CTA’ — which would be pre-configured by we admins similar to the global timeline activity tasks. Using the ‘Convert to CTA’ which deletes (or statuses) the original task and allows the CTA to be created based on how the admin sets it up in the background: -CTA Type = Activity -CTA Reason = To-Do Task -CTA Priority = Medium -CTA Status = Not Started -Due Date = Same as original task -CTA Owner = Same as original task This would be a cool feature — Convert to CTA. I know our team would realize a lot of value from this! Cheers, DB
This might be just me, but we're looking at transitioning our team from leaving notes about a CTA in the Comments section to creating a Timeline post. My main concern is that we have time to close metrics on some CTAs, and when they create follow up tasks via Timeline, it attaches them to the same CTA. So, if I don't remember to close the CTA before adding my follow up tasks, my time to close for that CTA will keep on ticking. I was thinking it might be good to still relate that post to the CTA, but create a new Activity CTA for the Notes/Follow up. That would mean multiple CTAs in the Cockpit, but still only one Timeline post. Not sure that's the best solution. Any suggestions on how to best do this so it doesn't affect our metrics negatively?
