Hello everyone, When testing the WYSIWYG for topics I came to the conclusion (Yeah I don't know why I didn't think of this before) that it would be very nice to have the same formatting options as the main text, but in the title, even if its only for managers/moderators, to prevent misuse. Why? For us that manage a community you are then able to point users even more in the right direction or to focus on specific content. Using bold text for FAQ topics, underlining for product codes, etc. It would make it easier to get the quick info from titles. I understand that this is just a little bit extra that can be gained from this 🙂 Not a massive win, but you gotta think small to win big in the end. I'm interested in what you all think, any thoughts from other Community managers/moderators on the use of this? Cheers,

In response to the API 2.0 documentation preview, I'd like to add an idea :) I'd like the api scheme "GET /topics/search" to query other fields, namely moderator tags and labels. I'm not sure if querying moderator tags will be possible, but at least querying labels isn't listed. We use labels to specify our most useful and totally useless (90%) topics, so being able to query this field is very useful to us for automated integrations. We use moderator tags to specify both the type of topic and the subject. Being able to fetch these topics by fields we specify ourselves, gives us an incredible amount of control. I hope the idea is clear!

Wouldn't it be interesting to find the dates when a given user has moved up in rank or received a badge? Could this be included in an export? Should it be its own separate export? Depending on the amount of ranks on a given forum, I can see this getting a bit bulky, however I think the data about user activity and rank/badge progression could be an interesting lens to look through. 🤓

Hi all, just a quick one: the content dashboard provides a nice trend-overview when you select several weeks or months. But with a large scaling (0-1k and nothing in between) variances at a lower level are so much smoothed out that they almost disappear - as an example in the below the topic creation (lower line) varies 17%, but it appears as almost flat The value of the chart could be quickly enhanced by adding: Mouseover for daily numbers: when you point your mouse at a line, the day's numbers are shown Adding Likes as a trendline Adding Helpful as a trendline Cheers, Florian

Currently the timestamps for Private Messages only show a relative value (in the frontend as well as the Control Panel). Like: 3 hours ago 5 days ago 6 months ago 1 year ago Our moderators occasionally struggle with this. Example: A customer was in contact with a moderator via Private Message. In a PM with the timestamp "1 day ago" the customer wrote "My internet is not working at the moment". The moderator took a look into the internal customer database and could see a ticket was created (and closed as "fixed") at a certain date and time. What the moderator couldn't determine was if the customer has been writing the PM before or after the ticket was created and fixed. So it wasn't clear if the customer was reporting a new problem (before the ticket was created) or a reoccuring problem (after the ticket was closed as fixed) The mod

I’d love to see some sort of ability to assign topics to folks from our team even when they don’t have a licence to control. It would help moderators, CMs, and Admins track who we’ve requested followup on a topic. Things like moderator notes are a poor tool for visibility on this.

We would like the ability to email several customers ad hoc from our plug-in.JOs are great for segmented group of customers, however it would be great to be able to email several customers in one go and log it into their timeline - which the JOs don’t do!

It would be helpful to be able to re-order moderation labels in Control so when you add a new label you can organize it alongside others most relevant. Changing an existing label seems to cause others with that label to inherit the value so that isn’t an option.

The ideation module does not allow for editing no matter the amount of time. I believe editing should be possible as in the community.

Twice now I’ve submitted Ideas here and clicked ‘create’ before realizing I’ve included a screenshot showing community members’ names, which I prefer to blur to protect privacy. Unlike Question topic types, there is no ability to edit after creating the post, so I’m unable to replace it and have to sheepishly ask @tom.shaddock to replace the image for me. Sorry Tom!!!! I’m wondering if inSided could grant us a short window of time to edit Idea posts.And now I’m going to click “create” and then see things I wish I had done differently …. 

System emails such as “Account Approved” and “Join the community” have the main CTA URL hardcoded. This means that when we moved away from company-en-community.insided.com domain to our final one the emails did not update automatically, so someone (during a test luckily) ended up on a page like this: It could be a tag much like all other emails perhaps, such as this to avoid having an extra manual step and a possible bad first impression!  

Hello,I’d like to request that the `post_creator_user_email` and `post_created_user_id` are added to the posts export from the backend. Without the a unique reference included in the export it’s difficult to do simple calculations like top poster etc. The only field provided is `post_creator` which just uses name, this can easily match multiple people.  

Hey team, I noticed when trying to upload two individuals via CSV, there was an error that did not allow upload.  When investigating with our team, it was because there was a space after the email address.  Recommend seeing if your system can ignore white space or trim after entries as I could see this being an issue for longer lists of uploads. Thank you!

Product Updates seem to be missing from a few elements of the Content DashboardPublished In filter Popular Topics Popular CategoriesIn seems to be included in the other elements of the dashboard, but if not, I’d like to see PUs included in every element of the dashboard. 

Today when you view analytics data for a longer period like a year or month, the data displays by day. It would be helpful to have the data have different grouping options to better get a view of activity over time. For example, in a year view being able to look at it by month or week, in a quarter view being able to see it per month or week. 

Hi, I’d love to see the total number of pages visited, broken down per user, in the User Dashboard in Analytics. For instance, how many pages John Hansson visited last month. It’s an important indicator of this user’s interest/involvement in our product/company, and it would be useful to see this in addition to the users Posts, Topics, Replies, Likes, and Answers. Anyone else out there thinking this could be useful, too?  

The way Insided do post field (PF) reporting and exporting has changed (I think)….. The way of working currently limits the usefulness of the export file as it only includes examples when a PF that has been selected in Control has been applied. I think it would be better if it included examples when posts include any of the PFs selected. I would describe this as: Current mechanic: Show example when PF X AND PF Y is present. Instead, I think it should show example when PF X OR PF Y is present.  That way I get an export file which I can import into a spreadsheet and use pivot tables to visualise in whatever way I want.  Adding a blank PF could be the way to do this. We certainly don’t want to ask moderators to apply negative PFs to every post.  

Because we don't currently have the option to schedule posts, we sometimes create posts and save them in a "Drafts" forum that's only visible to us moderators. I've found that when I want to edit a post before I move it to a publicly visible forum, there is no option to add a poll. And because posts with duplicate text return an error message, I have to trash the post I've created, modify its title and body content, and then start over. Here I'm referencing other challenges that compound the challenge of not being able to add a poll, but allowing moderators to add a poll to a published post would also allow for a responsiveness to the community, too

When enabling the show mapped features option and then navigating to a new page, the overlay of mapped features from the previous page will still display. Currently, you need to toggle this off and on when going to a new page. It would ideally refresh each time you load a new page. 

It will be very convenient if we will be able to auto map the contents of a meeting's agenda into the timeline entry notes section when utilizing the Calendar integration.

We recently rolled out an external dashboard for use for broader members of our organization that don’t have Gainsight licenses. The direct link/URL works just fine, but once the link is clicked on and the dashboard loads, the URL updates and that new link is not shareable across team members. Is there a reason why the original URL does not remain constant or that the updated link is not shareable? We have a high volume of people reaching out with claims that they do not have access to the dashboard when in fact they are just using the updated URL.  This seems related to this post. 

Currently there is no way to know if a specific topic is closed unless you open it. When there is a long list of topics, it is very useful to close topics when the issue discussed is solved or not applicable any more. Adding a visual icon to the closed topics will help to skip these topics improving user experience for moderators, community managers and users. Regards, Guadalupe

I should preface this Idea by noting that I've changed the Forum -> Subscribe phrase in our community to "Follow," and the Forum -> header.profile.dropdown.subscriptions phrase to "Followed topics." The improvement I'd like to see here is an option for changing the text of an already subscribed topic. Right now, all that happens is the star icon is filled in. The intent is to also provide a text-based indication of subscription status in addition to the graphical indicator. With this change, an already subscribed topic could then display "unsubscribe" or "unfollow." I suppose it could also say "subscribed" or "followed." ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I tried using the plural portion of the phrase, but that didn't work. Maybe that would be an easy way to implement this function using existing code since I couldn't find an actual plurality for the Subscribe phase. Thanks! -Drew

Pretty much every time I go to use the 🔗 link button, I squash my link text when I paste the URL. When you select text and click the link button, the cursor focus stays in the text box and doesn't move to the URL field. This happens in the control and front-end environments. Surely I'm not alone here... It seems to work "properly" if you click the link button first, where it also prompts for the link text to be entered. Hopefully this is an easy fix!
