A simpler (and perhaps quicker to deliver) option of these two ideas would be to have an API operation for removing points. Essentially the opposite of this Assign Points operation (note US link).(these should probably be merged btw) that way, if you have a use case, you could automate via Zapier or a similar tool. Within the UI of Control would also be helpful, but unless/until that becomes a critical feature there, the API could solve it.
The customer goal object doesn’t currently have a external ID field out of the box like many of the other objects do. We are looking to integrate some goals from another system into Gainsight, but not having an external ID makes it difficult. When creating a goal through a rule action it would be nice to be able to put a external system ID in as a field to populate. Then this same field could be used for updating goals through a rule. Today, you have to rely on the goal name for the most part and that can change.
When an email is sent directly from a CTA, for the recipient Sender Email is shown instead of Sender Name. According to Support, this is expected behavior. We would like to have the option to display the name for the recipient, exactly as if the email was sent by the CSMs themselves.
Post on behalf of a customer. It is found that after a Admin Custom CTA List View is made. If a user were to add a column for example. Any further changes by the Admin to the Custom CTA layout isn’t pushed to the view. In addition, when the user modifies the view, a separate view isn’t created or auto-copied from the admin view.It be nice to have additional controls, such as:Being able to lock added fields from being modified. Push recent Admin changes to Views not modified by End Users. Push recent Admin changes and override all or x user’s views. Reset Views for x Users.
Hi there,Configure CTA Linked Objects - Gainsight Inc.“Admins can add Gainsight Renewal Center Opportunity objects that can be linked to a CTA for each CTA type from the Linked Objects section. In the Call to Action > Linked Object section, admins can select the GS Opportunity object from the Linked Objects dropdown list.IMPORTANT: This feature is only applicable to the customers who are on the Cockpit Horizon Experience and have access to Renewal Center. For more information on Renewal Center, refer to the Renewal Center Overview article.”This object being available to everyone including those not using Renewal Center, the ability to link the GS Opportunity object should be available to everyone. If the object exists for everyone, it should be linkable by everyone. ThanksA
It would be great if we could insert Null values for Case Expressions. The current configuration requires us to provide a value, even if that value is a Custom value.Use Case:I’m calculating an “Age” field for a professional services project. If the project is still Active, I want to insert my calculated Project Age field. If the project is not still Active, then I want a Null value. I can’t accomplish this use case as Case Expressions require a value.
Really just looking for the same functionality as what’s in Rule Engine today “Remove HTML Tags” -
Currently, you can group by most attributes in the Query Builder report. However, browser and browser version isn’t one of them. There is no way to build a report showing which users are using a particular browser. This is very important to us because we need to identify customers who are still using Internet Explorer. The browser widget on the dashboard is very useful and shows that this data is collected by PX, however, there is no drill down to the list of users/accounts.
Our security team would love to see a feature added that would generate a popup warning to the customer for any link that is NOT part of our Community. Something like Discord does.
We need the ability to say IFNULL(<field>,0) in the Formula fields.Or the system should natively assume Numeric Null value = 0 when there is A + B or A - B on those 2 fields. Currently if either of those fields are Null, it returns 0.
As there are multiple functions provided in the formula fields, we should include MAX and MIN among those.
As an Academy Admin, there are two enhancements I would like to see:Add Date Sent and Date Opened to the in-app viewAdd the ability to export the data to CSV so we can sort and filter.
Hey Team, It would be great to have the ability to replace Strings as one of the String formulas. It would make string formulas more powerful and allow for use cases such as making Hyperlinks replacing spaces in fields. It would make the already powerful String formulas more convienient.
As a community manager we try to always put our customers first and one thing we all hate is filling forms, especially when its for a company that already knows you….We regularly organise events for which recordings are then made available but also create downloadable materials. Because this is also used for demand generation we gate this content on our site. However it would feel very natural to provide access to this content to our known customers within the community. There does not seem to be a dedicated place or topic type for content download sadly. And while we can use a standard article and host the video recording there, and provide links to un-gated PDFs of our materials, this would result in creating a complete black box of lost information about who downloads or watches what among our customers.I would love to see a new topic type for this purpose: content consumption tracking, to put bluntly:This could even take a slightly different format in search results, by having a download button, or a watch now button that triggers the engagement tracking to be recorded.
Background: When using the Success Snapshot to display a report of Customer Goals, it cannot limit the Goals to only those associated with the Success Plan. Other filters can be added to the report, and there are a couple workarounds that almost solve the issue but not fully. There is not currently a solid and simple way to showcase only the Goals associated to the Success Plan for a Snapshot export. This is true even when using a ‘Customer Goals Association’ object report.Request: Add Customer Goals association to the short list of items which Success Snapshot can limit by. This idea has already been posted in Community, but that one was marked ‘Solved’. Please note that status is inaccurate though. Gainsight Support has confirmed this does not currently work as outlined here, and would be an enhancement. Here is the previous topic with same request/idea: One workaround (this does not sufficiently solve the issue, but is an idea that has been discussed): Success Snapshot can filter report/table results based on fields in Customer Goals. A field for ‘SP GSID’ can be added to the Goal layout, and that field can be updated via a rule with the Associated SP GSID. Then, the report can be filtered by that field in the Success Snapshot Builder. However, for any new Goals, there will always be a delay in updating that field since Goals is not currently compatible with Real-Time Rules. This means if a user adds a Goal and then exports immediately (common behavior), that Goal will not be on the Snapshot. Unfortunately because of the delay and the common user behavior, this is not an acceptable workaround in most use cases.
Currently when using the Communities API to create a new Idea entry, nothing is returned in the response. This makes makes it a requirement to then perform a search for the newly created Idea. Doing this programmatically would be difficult to be 100% sure the result is the new record. The response should return the identifier value of the newly created record.
Is there a way to to add formatted tables to rich text fields in GS? Would be great to have the additional formatting options.
Hello!I’ve recently been through some sporadic JO issues, made worse because it took a few days for me to realize what was happening. While it’s my strong opinion that something like JO needs to be as close to 100% reliable as possible, I do understand that things happen on the backend that are bound to cause issues from time to time.Allowing for the possibility that something unexpected can always impact even as established JO, I think the next best step in mitigating disruption would be to introduce admin-configurable alerting on JO Programs similar to the alerting already in place for Rules and Data Designer.Conditions for the alerts would need to be tweaked for the subject matter - maybe something like…Participant enters “X” Status (configurable by admin) Program sends 0 emails Program execution fails Program execution is delayed / queuedThese alerts would all apply to actual situations I’ve faced in the past, and in each instance my response would’ve been more timely with a simple email alert. Obviously not every admin is going to want an alert every time a Participant hits “Completed” Status, but having the flexibility to tick off each Status when configuring this alert might make testing or monitoring new content more convenient. I’m personally most interested in using “System Error” as an alerting condition.
We have several circumstances where we have migrated records, product assets, or other information from one account object to another. We need an administrator tool similar to Mass Edit for CTAs that allows us to move Timeline entries from one account to another.
I’ll guess that this is feature but I’ll open this topic anyways as I feel that this is a UX issue. Some of our super users and active community members use the community as follows:They go and scroll either the Recently active discussions or Active since last visit and read through the interesting ones. After this they want to mark all as read. → They’ll go to community front page, select the Categories tab and click Mark Discussion areas as read. And here lies the challenge. All “regular” topics are marked as read but Ideas remain unread.I assume that this is a feature as Ideas are no longer part of categories, but could this be fixed? I feel that for active users this is an understandable case.
In Data Designer, I wish the Dataset Name appeared on the screens for Join, Fields, and Filters.Currently, the display includes the task being performed and mentions prior tasks, but doesn’t display the dataset name of the current step. This makes administering complex Data Designers harder, especially if I’m working “up and down” a Data Designer to add a field or remove a field. When I save my changes, I have to reassess which step I edited, because the name of the step isn’t visible. Instead, I literally narrate to myself “OK, I’m in a Merge so find the Merge step on the screen where F and G are merged, and that’s probably H and that’s where I should continue my edits.”
As we begin to have more and more clients utilize the SFDC Timeline Activity Sync, it would be great to be able to customize the Default Filter on the Global and Company Timeline view. The setup currently allows individual users to create custom views, but the ability to create custom views at the global level by GS Admins would help users quickly filter down to key segments of activities. For example, we have a client with a Calendly integration that creates tasks in SF Timeline for each meeting that then sync to Gainsight. To be able to have a default template view that filters these out would be beneficial (and it would be easier than trying to communicate to each individual user on how to create a custom filter to handle this.)It is understood that these tasks could be filtered out in the SFDC Timeline Sync as well, the client still wants these tasks captured in GS, but wants to be able to easily filter them out when needed.
The Customer Journey Widget on the 360 allows for tracking of Key Dates, however, all the flags appear purple. It would be ideal to visually differentiate the dates that are being flagged, my first thought is by color, but open to other ideas.
Some users of our Community would like to access to old material they have written in topics that were moved to our (hidden) archive. We archive these when the information is obsolete and we don't want new visitors to get wrong information. This is what some of our regular users encounter: They read a new topic and vaguely remember a similar question they might have written a reply for. Instead of reinventing the wheel the user wants to partly recycle their former post. They open the list of posts they have created from their profile. They see the complete list, regardless if the concerning topics are placed in a hidden category. They click on the post they would like to check, then they see the 403 page when the topic was archived/hidden by us. This also is true - in a lesser extend - for topics they created. Suggestion: Allways provide access to publicly hidden topics for users that have started the topic or have posted messages in that topic.
