Sometimes our team will create a post in a google doc, include screenshots, and then copy it over to a Community Post.    Unfortunately, when the permissions of these google docs change, the images break in Community — ideally whenever an image is copied into a topic, it is uploaded and hosted on Insided.

Hi! We thought that it would be great to add a sound notification when you receive a new personal message. It will help to understand that you received somehting. Sound could be like in FB messenger. What do you think about it?

In the Control Panel, we can configure and customize the Content Helpfulness (helpfulness/index). For example we can decide if we want to show the “Helpfulness indicator”, i.e. we can decide if we want to show the percentage or not. We feel that users might be more inclined to give a downvote, when the current helpfulness indicator shows a low percentage. That’s why we propose an option to hide the helpfulness indicator in the frontend as long as it is below a certain threshold, e.g. under 30%. This way, we think users are more likely to vote without a negative bias.

Hi, here is what we need for the better navigation and user  expereince.  We set up the icons for categores and they show up on the main page but we want them to be on the parent category page as well at the left of the name of category - see the screenshot. That will give page the better look as when you have so many categories it does not look good.   

When an event date has passed, the event remains visible in the ‘Past Events’ section. This is great. However if a user is browsing past events, there is no easy way to enable them to watch the event replay. We host our replays on our KB (Zendesk) via Wistia and so it would be great if we could, at some point after an event has passed, change the greyed out ‘Attend’ button to ‘Watch Replay’ which then links to a custom URL. Bonus points for making this possible from the events list, as well as when you click into an event listing.

I’d like to be able to view when an article was created on the topic cards in the activity feed alongside when it was last updated. I find it hard to be able to tell whether the content itself is new or if it’s just a new comment.  For example: This topic was last updated 1 hour ago, but the original post was 5 months ago. It is difficult for me to tell at a glance whether this is a new ‘Release’ or an old release that had a recent comment. In order to find out, I have to click into the topic to find out that it’s the latter.

​​​​​When I share a link to an event page via a social network then the auto-generated preview of the link shows the event time in the Central European Timezone without even mentioning the time zone.For example, this is a preview of an event scheduled for 11am PDT on a Slack channel:If you are a global company then this behavior is quite confusing for a majority of your users.I’m not sure it’s technically possible to make the preview show the right time zone for each end user as they are usually generated from the og:title HTML meta tag. However, showing it with the timezone indicator (using the timezone specific by the user who published the event), not showing the time at all, option to edit pre-generated og:title, or simply reusing the actual event name for og:title without any modifications would be much better.Yo

Our community users like the option to make some of the home page widgets dismissible. We have featured articles and content on the top of our home page, which leads straight into the 2:1 activity feed. Our users would like to be able to dismiss the featured content after viewing so their page views only the activity feed (until new featured content becomes available).  I’d imagine a ‘Allow users to dismiss’ option on each widget: and if selected, allow for some way to dismiss the widget:  which would collapse/hide that section, making the page appear like so:

Here is the usability idea i have:-we have multiple custom roles such as employees, customers, partner sales, parter marketing etc. around 10 of them. -we also have multiple subcategories based on our product features/editions etc/ ~12 of them.What would be good if when i set up a subcategory permissions to avoid mistakes and simplify the way to assign rights i could copy permissions from the different subcategory.  Like have an option “Assign permissions like in“ and drop down of subcategories. This way it will be one click only. 

What would be great for the content management and moderation, if I could set the default moderator on the category level and this person would receive emails when the new post is created. In our case we have multiple forums and multiple teams participating usch as support, dev, marekting, partner management, prouct management, education. Some of them are obviously not checking community all the time and the quesitons would appear 1-2 times per week only, so it would be convinient to have such mechanism

Hi! I’d like the option to add a link to groups in the side nav, as opposed to 3 blocks on the homepage. I know I can get this done with HTML, but it’d be nice if it was OOTB!  

Our community’s superusers have asked for the ability to be able to change the font of their topics and replies.Maybe this could be applied using user group permissions in the control panel? It’s not for all, just our regulars.Another idea is that it could be linked to gamification? Get to a cerain rank and you can choose different fonts

Our community’s superusers have asked for the ability to send batch DMs (ie, a message to multiple receipients in one go). It’s because they like to chat to one another privately sometimes! (Probbably complaining about the communty managers….  )Maybe this could be applied using user group permissions in the control panel? It’s not for all, just our regulars.There’d need to be a limit on how many can be sent. Say, 50?

Our community’s superusers have asked that they get an option to view latest activity on the homepage. We agree with them and would like this too.The three options (inc in this Inspired community) currently are: Categories, Help Others, Recently active.What our members have asked for is similar to recently active, but instead of showing a snippet of the original topic, it should show a snippet of the very latest reply, as well as link to the latest reply.  

It would be nice to allow the translation of the UI from EN to other languages based on the customer IP address. 

We would like the ability to multi-select topics in the Moderation Overview view and to unassign topics quickly. Once assigned, we noticed that we have to open each topic one by one to unassign ourselves.

Hiya!Maybe this was suggested before, I'm not sure. But is there a way for the page to move to the reply that was merged straight after a topic is merged into another?Example, Deezer user is asking how to cancel their subscription. It's a topic they created instead of posting in the main one. I move it into the main topic for this subject, but then have to scroll down and then select the last page to be able to read the reply I just merged. Is there a way for the page to redirect there straight after I merge, instead of opening page 1?Cheers, everyone

Would love to be able to make updates to Success Plan templates after they have already been applied and made active by the CSMs. We recently rolled out a robust Success Plan for the entire team to use, and there were minor changes I wanted to make, but they wouldn't be applied to the Success Plans already in flight/underway. Would be great to be able to do that.

We’d also like to see visits & views on the user dashboard (in the top users table), to help with our metrics. It would be extremely helpful for setting up our executive views, especially if it includes all users and all activity during the selected date range.

A nice idea this, from Richard M’s Feverbee blog.  An ‘out of the box’ calendar adding goal mechanic would cater for super user programmes. e.g visit/post on day x of the week. 

Not all the columns are present in new version of Custom table view . Columns like Ideation status, Answered, views and categoreis etc are not present in the Custom table view.  Not all the columns are visible untile we scroll to the end. Everytime scrolling to the end is a pain point. Cannot modify the saved filter. 

We’re building all of our product documentation on Insided for our B2B software. As such, we need to conduct regular audits on the content, in case a screen changes. It would be great if there was a user facing audit log/version control that showed:Date created Last date updated Next update dateThis could then create a queue in the Control environment saying “Hey there are 30 articles in need of audit, 2 are overdue”. We currently have to do this using external tools like Airtable and would love to bring it into Insided.

A feature asked by the community members:Ability to delete my own reply (if no one has replied after or quoted my reply).

When I’m logged in, I can use the page “My comments” to see where I’ve been active. Unfortunately I can only sort by age of the topics, which doesn’t have any benefit to me as the age of the topic is quite irrelevant when it comes to checking if someone has replied in a topic after I was active in it. Sorting by “Recently active” would be more beneficial, especially for power users who are active in a lot of different topics.That’s why I propose a new sorting option for that page “Recently active”. Just like on the global “Recently active” page, but with an added filter to only show the topics I’ve been active in before. And I would like to be that new sorting option to be the ne

Hi TeamClicking on the below topics number, it navigates to topics of the user page. It would be good to show the Ideation status here.  I mean good to add one more coloum called Ideation status in this view.
