When you have Activity Names shown in the customer journey widget today that are bit longer, they are truncated. For example, “Renewal Event - Opportunity Na…...”. This occurs on the primary view and in the preview window. This idea is to add a mouse over tooltip to see the full name to make it easier on users. We have situations where we will have 5 plus entries in the same part of the timeline with similar names and it is difficult to quickly identify the different ones.
Our CS leadership team are extremely excited about the new C360 view, particularly the Customer Journey widget that shows the Customer Journey milestones timeline.Unfortunately, they are less thrilled by the date range on the roadmap, since it looks so far back that the Onboarding milestones all end up stacked in one or two months. It would be great if the widget could do some or all of the following:Make it configurable to specify a start and/or end date to show less range with no activity. Have the option to show the roadmap broken down by week milestones instead of months being the default, and only option. Provide a ‘zoom’ tool to expand the view on a window of time where multiple milestones fall into the same month.
Currently, there is no audit trail report to track changes made in the system. It would be helpful to have an audit trail feature that logs modifications for:Courses Groups Learning Paths Media Player And other key components. This feature would improve transparency, accountability, and system management for administrators.
PX admins can assign role-based access, but otherwise, have little to no insight into PX user activity to measure PX adoption and better understand how our internal users are utilizing the PX application. It would be very helpful to surface the PX usage data, similar to what we have in Gainsight 360 via Gainsight CS, as this is currently a blind spot. Understanding where our PX users are spending their time and having insight into their activities helps PX admins to manage PX access and licensing, better assist with PX user needs, and measure PX adoption.
We have a JO Dynamic Program that we applied an exclusion list to, excluding a first set of recipients from a re-run. That program was cloned and the exclusion list carried forward. There is nothing on the Advanced Settings Tab to indicate that an exclusion list was applied:Suggestion: If an Audience Exclusion list is applied, put an identifier here - or - autoexpand the Audience Exclusion section if a list is applied - there is no visual identifier here to show that I have applied an exclusion list which caused us to retain the list unknowingly through cloning.
Hello - With all these amazing additions to inline editing, we are starting to create some really easy to use/high impact inline editing dashboards in Gainsight. I think now is the perfect time to add some more robust visual displays to our tabular reports. I’m requesting that we allow us to start doing the following things:Ability to color code columns in a dashboard - Use case: We can color code editable columns in a report on a dashboard to make it easy for end users to understand what is editable and what is not. Add color options to picklists in reports. - Another great update would be to take the functionality from CTA reporting (Statues/type) and add the ability to use those on fields in reporting. This would allow us give end users an extra visual when looking at their book of business. Bonus Points - Adding more color functionality to dashboard builder as well. Would be great to color code reports so when leadership is reviewing a high end dashboard they understand easily what each report relates too. (Ex. Red reports are connected to Risk, Green is ARR, Blue is CTA, etc.)
Use Case: As multiple new modules have been introduced to the platform, there is a need to highlight these elements and provide users with contextual guidance. To do this, we would like to use hotspots with associated tooltips that offer quick insights. Additionally, we want these hotspots to trigger any relevant guides, enabling users to have a flexible, self-directed experience. The intention is to have multiple hotspots and guides displayed simultaneously, allowing users to interact with different aspects of the new modules in a cohesive manner.Hotspots are preferred due to: The pulsating display that draws user attention The ability to control the qualification scope, offering greater flexibility in defining when and how they appear to targeted end users. The capacity to track user activity and engagement for hotspots and guides (PX Analytics > In App Performance), ensuring insights and accurate measurement of user interactions. Limitations: Currently, PX does not support displaying multiple hotspots or guide engagements at the same time. The workaround is to use badges, which can be displayed simultaneously, but this approach presents several challenges:Qualification Scope - Qualification scope for badges is limited. If the interaction type is “Click,” badges can only qualify Once. If the interaction type is “Hover,” they qualify Always. The Qualification Scope for badges cannot be further adjusted. Tracking - there is no functionality to track user activity or engagement for guide engagements that consist of only a Badge + Tooltip, which significantly reduces visibility into user behavior.Proposed Solution: to address the current limitations, the following updates are proposed for Badge and Hotspot functionality in PX: Simultaneous display of Hotspots (Guides) - allow multiple hotspots and their associated guides to appear on the same page at the same time. This would enable users to explore and interact with multiple new features/modules without being restricted to a sequential experience. By offering parallel access to different elements, users can choose which modules/elements to engage with based on their needs, contributing to a more flexible and personalized user experience. Expanded Badge Qualification Scope Options - increase flexibility for badge qualifications. Introduce more granular qualification rules for badges beyond the current “Once” for Click and “Always” for hover. This facilitates greater flexibility and ensures badges appear at the right moments, improving user engagement and preventing information overload. Improved Tracking for Badges + Tooltips - enable detailed tracking for guides that use only a Badge + Tooltip, allowing user activity and engagement to be fully captured and reported. Currently this interaction is not trackable, leaving a gap in understanding relevant user behavior. Tracking capaiblities would enable us to capture important insights, improving product adoption strategies and decision making. These enhancements would provide greater control over user engagement, enhance tracking capabilities, and create a more flexible, user-driven experience.
It would be great to be able to filter engagements using the “Draft” column. Perhaps add it to the Other category of filters? We have multiple people who are editing engagements and sometimes they put them into draft mode to be able to view what they need (since Gainsight prompts them to do it). Then, they forget to delete draft (since they didn’t change anything). I’m the primary owner of the PX platform, so it’s then left to me to try to clean things up. At first I tried sorting by the Draft column, but that is not an option.
Posted 5 years ago for a Bionic rules enhancement, and now created again as an ask for a Horizon Rules enhancement. It’d be awesome if we could “clone” fetch tasks in Horizon Rules.
I confirmed with support and it is currently not possible to update the recipients of a report shared by email. You need to stop sharing and create a new list to add or remove a recipient. Having the option to just modifiy recipients in the existing list would be a nice improvement.Thanks. @aktripathi
On a gauge report (and probably others), because the Report name and the Report tools (i.e. refresh, change visualization, etc) are on the same "row", the name of the report vanishes when you make a widget small to conserve space on a dashboard. This may not technically be a "bug" but it affects the usability of the dashboard, not to mention the aesthetics, and forces me to make the report widget to take up more real estate to compensate. Both of those screenshots above are on my laptop in full screen. I have a large, extra wide secondary monitor, and have to open the window more than halfway the size of my screen in order to see the small one.The Report Name should be in a relative fixed position on the report, with the report tools on a tier below it.
This is in Cockpit on Home. Why?And anywhere cockpit is sold: How many cockpit redesigns must we get before we get something usable? This is the default width of the column. If I make it ever so slightly wider I get the full thing, and there is still an egregious amount of whitespace. We are weeks away from 2025 and I still have to make these posts - help me understand why @ophirsw @dstokowski @jake_ellis.@revathimenon can we make sure the relevant PMs see this? I also don’t make these posts for fun, or just because it annoys me. I have to demo those to users and leaders, and I feel like I showed up at a NASCAR race with an RC car. It’s embarrassing for me, and really annoying to our users. Yes I can make it slightly wider but that doesn’t actually solve the issue.
When a user posts a question, he/she (or any moderator) can mark one of the answers in this topic as "Best answer" (or "Solution", depending on how the phrase is, well, phrased). What's not possible is to undo this action in the frontend. The undo function is available for moderators in the control panel. If a user mistakenly marked an answer as "Best answer" (or a moderator marked a "Best answer" but the user doesn't agree), the only way to undo this is to ask a moderator to do it. This leads to more work than necessary. We would like to see the undo function also be implemented in the frontend.
Please make the pre configured CTA attributes like the Risk CTA in the GS Home summary widget clickable also. You can only star the CTA or update the Status or due date but you cannot click on the CTA name to open it. It’s hard to manually click the company name first and then open the cockpit to find the CTA. Instead the summary widget attribute drill through would be much more helpful.
I’d love to see some additional warnings/notification if making a change to the query in an active JO Program. The semi-new notifications when editing email templates are great at calling out the impact of a change, but we don’t have the same level of notifications in the program itself. We recently had a filter inadvertently removed from a JO query which is a much larger impact that some changes to the email template.
I can see this behaviour in any place like Rules List, Rule Chains, Data Management (Fields and Data tabs), Data Designer... If you rearrange the columns in x way when you do something that sends you outside the screen and then go back, they revert to a “default status”.In this example in Rule Chains I have it ordered by Last Run descending, and that column next to the Status. If I click on a rule and then go back, the Last Run moved back to the original place, but at least is maintaining the descending order of the Last Run In this other example in Data Management → Company I brought the Field Type to the second column in descending order to see the System Field Types on top. When I go back, the Field type moved to the right and the order reverted back by Name A-Z
TL/DR: Is it possible to allow for multiple levels of sub-folders?Got reminded of this fact while reviewing the Reports and Dashboards course (screenshot source), and the fact that we are limited to only one-level of sub-folders has been a challenge in maintaining clearly organized folders across Reports, Programs, Email Templates, etc. while attempting to create a simple hierarchy. We have numerous JO categories, with multiple copies of certain programs (not even getting into version histories). For example, for our Re-Engagement programs, we have:Private Sector Re-Engagement (HTML & live link email type) Public Sector Re-Engagement (defanged & plain text email type) Defanged Private Sector Re-Engagement (non public sector, defanged & plain text email type)We’ve got three different email templates with different versions for each of those emails, and with a similar number of onboarding programs (each with 7 emails), the number of email templates we have quickly spills into multiple pages. While the new Advanced JO builder has the potential to reduce the number of JO programs we have due to its new capabilities (an evaluate step immediately after an audience, with multiple logic branches), that won’t affect the number of email templates we have.Being able to create multiple folders so we don’t have to endlessly page through folders looking for a single asset would be hugely beneficial. Note: added under the Journey Orchestrator product area, but this really applies everywhere.
Our admin team is loving copilot. One addition I’d love to see is the ability to ask it questions about our Gainsight feature usage. Getting to the info we want via the 360 is sometimes tedious and this would be a huge win to better monitor feature adoption for things like cheat sheet, write with AI, and even copilot itself.
As an Admin, I want the ability to configure which fields are required to mark a CTA Closed Won, differently than the fields required to mark a CTA Closed Lost, so that I can support different workflows depending on the outcome of a CTA. For context, we have a CTA process where we would like to require certain fields to be filled out prior to the CTA being marked as Closed Won. If, for whatever reason, the CTA is no longer needed (but deleting isn’t ideal) or unsuccessful and is marked as Closed lost, those same fields shouldn’t, or maybe can’t, be filled in. We may even want different fields to be required to close, if the CTA is Closed Lost.As it stands, we have to choose between poor data hygiene for Closed Success CTAs where no fields are required to close it with that status - and a bad user experience (and also bad data hygiene) requiring users to fill in useless fields to close a CTA out as close lost. What is required to close, should be configurable by Closed Status and/or Status Reporting Category. This would be in addition to configuring the mandatory fields on a per CTA Layout basis - not instead of.
Please create a Permission that allows us to grant edit access only for copies of the Default version. We support over 20 languages and have many different people translating the default template. Several times, a translator updated the Default / English version instead of cloning it. Can we have a permission set in Gainsight that allows users to only create and edit versions of the email template without allowing them to edit the default? This is crucial in Journey Orchestrator (automated) email templates.
I was wondering if there is a way to limit the options for date fields used in global filters. Right now, I can add the date field, but then when the user selects the filter, they are given all the many options that Gainsight offers. I appreciate all the options Gainsight gives us with dates but it might be overwhelming for end users and they simply don’t need most of them. Is there a way to limit the selection to say, this month, this quarter, and this year and that’s it?Thank youTrevor
