This is related to my earlier idea about responsive content from 6+ months ago, but slightly different. We’re in the process of building out new email templates (one main template), but are running into some issues. I believe they’re related to how the email content area is set to work with the max-device-width and responsive properties in the code.Essentially, what looks good when testing on desktop looks terrible on mobile. We’ve specified a 680px width for our emails, and our content blocks are set to 100%, but when testing them on mobile, they don’t preserve that 100% width. Has anyone else been experiencing this?Idea: Email content area and content block dimensions should carry over between desktop and mobile.Email content area set at 680pxEmail container shows 680px width“max-device-width” is smaller than our specified email content area widthresponsive is set at a max width of 480pxEmail header appears at correct size in Gmail on desktopEmail content blocks are distorted beyond recognition in Gmail on iOS
I submitted this idea for DD and just realized that it would also be great to have these additions to Rules Engine’s Advanced filters ( and DD, if implemented there):· Is Scheduled? (Boolean) Even if the rule itself is not scheduled, but part of a chain that is, should be considered in the first group. · Last executed date· Next execution date· Last run Status
Hey all,Could an integer just be equal to 0 in version filters in JO?It feels really extra to have to set it to LESS THAN 1 … Pretty sure we can set filters on equals 0 in other areas of the platform. #parityThanksA
I have a longer running program that fires off a CTA to the CSM on the account. I learned recently that I cannot use a calculated field to ensure the CTA is being assigned to the new CSM on the account, if there was an account transition that took place during the time of the journey. Please allow us to use calculated fields in the CTA Owner dropdown for CTAs created from JO. This means that I will not be able to use the JO functionality to create the CTA and will instead need to use a Rules Engine.
As we increased our global use of Sponsor Tracking, there are places in EMEA or APAC that use other professional networking platforms (do not have an extensive list but maybe others can comment). Xing.com, saramin.co.kr have come up as options.
Hey Gainsight team! One of our Enterprise CSEs requested a new GS feature to help streamline Email to Timeline syncing for person records that are associated with multiple companies. The request is to be able to tag which company is the ‘primary company’ for a person, so that when a user syncs activities related to that person, Gainsight would automatically resolve which company the email should be associated with without the user having to do anything more. The current workflow with the pop-up is fine but it requires additional clicks + can feel especially tedious for our Enterprise CS team, who manage customers that are likely to have the same user across many companies. This feature would help our team by reducing the time and brainpower they spend on admin work ⏱
We need a way to report on success plan sharing. Our need arose when we were thinking of flipping a section on our objective layout to be shared externally, and we need a way to see how many success plans were shared externally so that we could determine the impact of flipping that section. I know I can view the sharing in the Success Plan admin section, but I can’t determine easily whether it was shared with an external person unless I click into each one to view. If you have a lot shared, that’s not a feasible solution.
Hi Product Team,A customer reached out requesting me to submit a feature request on their behalf. Currently, whenever adding comments to a Timeline entry, you are only able to see 3-4 lines at a time. This makes it difficult to edit while creating long comments. In the customer’s own words:Business Impact:Due to this limitation, the user experience for our TAMs is hugely impacted. Whenever there is an entry in the comment they can't use Gainsight at the go, they need to type it in elsewhere and then copy it in Gainsight, as they can't see the complete comment, user can only see 3 lines at a time, which makes typing comments very hard. This is one of the daily activities for our TAMs, so we want to make this feature request. https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOu19lNY If we were able to add the ability to expand this comment box and/or include a pop-out option, that would help alleviate this pain point. Thanks!
Didn’t see a post for this already, and not sure if the idea will make sense but I’ll give it a shot: User Story: As a CSM/Gainsight End User, I want the ability to keep tasks/CTAs I’m working on in front of me as I navigate Gainsight so that I don’t lose track of what I’m trying to complete, while navigating the system to find the information I need/take the steps I need to complete the task. Context: As a simple example, if I’m a CSM I may have a CTA I’m working on with 5 tasks. Those tasks might just be jumping off points where I need to do something like update a scorecard measure with a timeline entry, schedule a meeting, review a dash and do XYZ etc. It can be easy to go down a rabbit hole and forget the overal task or tasks I’m trying to complete. At the very least, once I’ve done the thing(s), I have to remember exactly what CTA/Task I was working on and check off the task and maybe take some other action(s) on the CTA itself as well. This just adds extra work and system fatigue navigating around. It is possible to open a second window and have them side by side, or on different screens, but that’s not always a desirable option, as I may need to use Gainsight and another system to complete my task, which just makes toggling between all the windows a chore even if I have the visual real estate. What I would like, is some way to dock or pin either cockpit itself, or a CTA I’m working on so I always have that available when I’m navigating the system (even just going through tabs on the C360) without losing where I am, switching between the two. It would finally be a functional use for the obsession with third panes, though the sizing would need to be re-done. Doesn’t have to be a clone of the To Do/utility bar in SFDC but is a similar, practical example of something that would be useful.
Hi Team, I just migrated to the Zendesk connector 2.0 however I don’t seem to find the field tag in the Zendesk tickets object to fetch it to Gainsight. I want to track Support Ticket Escalation as a Risk Status in Healthscore. To do so, I will need to get the tag field to Gainsight. Is this possible?
I’m trying to use Horizon Rules to update some existing CTAs to add a Linked Object. It appears I’m not able to access the Linked Object in the Update Action. My use case: We’re trying to do some clean up on CTAs that weren’t linked, and I’ve uploaded a list of the CTAs with the Linked Object ID in S3, and want to use a rule to add it to the CTAs via the CTA GSID.
Upon logging into my Gainsight instance this morning, we noticed the rounded corners in the Summary tab of our C360 - which looks awesome by the way. My only gripe is that there seems to be a pop up that appears when hovering over any uneditable field on the Summary tab that mentions the user doesn’t have the required permissions to edit the widget data, and that they should reach out to their Gainsight admin for assistance.I find this pop up to be misleading to our end users. This message appears after hovering over uneditable fields on the Summary tab, but at least for us, these fields being uneditable was intentional. In this case it’s not a permissions issue - they can’t edit these fields simply because we’ve marked them as uneditable. Is there any way this pop up can be updated to more clearly state the situation and in a more simple manner? Maybe something like “Your admin has made this field uneditable.” I can see us getting many pings from our field team on this, thinking they are facing a permissions error when that isn’t actually the case. Thanks!
I’m kind of surprised there isn’t an idea for this already (maybe there is but I couldn’t find it) but we really need a way to view/report on emails that are on the Deny List. This is critical especially as Gainsight uses a shared infrastructure/global suppression when it comes to the email platform. We’re flying blind without access to this information.
The standard Knowledge Center Bot includes the ability to resize the display window, but the new “embedded” Knowledge Center bot does not. It would be great to include this option here too for a better user experience. See below:
“Curated content” is a widget that enables a community admin to “[d]isplay a list of curated content, such as articles, tutorials and guides to help users find their answers quickly”. This widget can be activated on category pages. The new “Custom pages” features enables us to create - well - custom pages. 😉In general, it is quite hard to integrate custom pages into the community at the moment. Custom pages lie independently from the community hierarchy (as they should) and most widgets are only able to integrate community content that is located within the community hierarchy (i.e. within categories).I therefore propose to also make it possible to include custom pages in the curated content widget, as it will enable community admins to present their users with direct links to custom pages that are relevant to the category they are currently looking at.
Hey thereWhen you select a piece of text to link it to a survey, the link text doesn’t auto-populate. When you populate it, it inserts duplicate text in the content. Survey link text not auto-populatedEspecially that it DOES when the link goes to a normal link type, so there’s a parity gap:Normal link text auto-populated Please resolve this as a parity gap. ThanksA
Hi thereI’ve noticed that in Query builder, the fields you can merge on are not searchable which is super handicapping in large data sets as there’s a lot of scrolling involved to find fields that are not even ordered in alphabetical order… Other areas of the platform allow this type of “dropdown” area to be searchable. This needs to be as well - there’s no reason it cannot be or it shouldn’t be. Every dropdown on this platform needs to be searchable. Full stop.ThanksA
I admittedly avoid using Connectors when possible in favor of using rules, but I’m currently getting more acquainted with them and they are...lacking. As an Admin, I would really like to know the execution history of my Job Chains, just as I would that of my rule chains. As it stands, there does not appear to be a way to do so. Additionally, it’s not even possible to tell if a job ran as part of a Job Chain or not. You basically need to click to the job itself and any chain it might be in to reverse engineer it. Not a great experience. Please give us job chain execution history, and in the Activities log tell us if a given execution was part of a chain and if so, which one.
Email template builder styling idea -- add “specific radius options” to the “container/block rounding” style options. Trying to find the specific div (linked post) can be a nightmare when we’ve got nested tables.Thankfully the CSS for “border-top-right-radius: #px;” works, but it should be as simple as it is with the other padding options.
This would be a big QoL enhancement for anyone using the new email editor: div labels that show us what block we’re working on (in the display editor) if we need to go into the code to tweak the div.It would be awesome to be able to see the div tag (ex: “#i7vg4”) next to the “block” or “container” text, so we don’t have to look for a specific asset, especially since a lot of our emails have multiple layers of nested containers. Even if it was a feature we could toggle on/off as needed. Screenshot of selected block in display modeScreenshot of individual div styling in code
Posting on behalf of customerCurrently Instructor-Led Trainings do share the info of registrations in webhooks, but we often see the not all users who registered attend the sessions and it becomes little hard to manage this information as the team does many ILTs in a week and capturing and updating the information in CRM is time consuming. Can webhooks be able to send the attended and not attended status as well? This would be super helpful!
I mention how splitting the rule action criteria and the action itself up can be awkward here (might be a closed post): But, assuming they stay separate, I would like to emphasize how helpful it could be to at least have the name of your criteria on the rule action setup page. If you’re like me, sometimes you get distracted. If you have a rule with a bunch of different criteria you can’t really tell which one you’re working on from the action setup 3rd pane. There’s heaps of space here to add it as well:
