I was looking into rolling out the People section for our CSMs and was pretty impressed with some of the new functionality (inline editing, ability to control individual fields’ editability, etc.), but at the same time was disappointed that Sponsor Tracking is plastered all over the section and apparently can’t be turned off by admins?? Apparently we can open a support ticket (I’m hoping that does the trick), but still - why is it like this in the first place? We don’t pay for/use Sponsor Tracking, so it’s a nonstarter for us to roll this out as is. Potential solutions:Make Sponsor Tracking something Admins can opt in to showing in the People section (preferred) At least allow Admins to turn off Sponsor Tracking in their instance rather than opening a support ticketThanks for considering.
To download the data from a report, you need to open the report each time. This becomes very time consuming when you are trying to get multiple reports. Can we include “Download Data” right at the context menu on the report list?
Just entered to the rule to check out the logic and refreshed the preview. Never saved anything and yet the last modified date was updated… This is very misleading as it makes impossible to discern when something was actually modified or not.It should be like opening and reading a document anywhere (local, Google Drive)... If I didn't change anything I expect the modified date to be the same as before I opened the document.Posting this idea for rules engine as I tested what happened with an advanced program by previewing an email template and the modified date was honored. Also followed the same steps in data designer (going to the filter tab in a dataset, previewing, refreshing the preview) and the modified date was honored too 🤷♀️
I know this is a very niche ask, but would be a great way to leverage Milestones for example, but I can think of other use cases.I was trying to pull a report to show bucketed changes in NPS like Detractor to PassiveDetractor to PromoterPassive to DetractorPassive to PromoterPromoter to DetractorPromoter to PassiveAnd color-code them like Detractor to Promoter as green, Promoter to Passive as yellow… you get the gist.We can user report builder, grouping by Subject and adding a customized palette like this: The last thing I had to to was to rename the aliases as they are too long, and met this blocker: Seems that is taking the top 20 A-Z activity timelines of all time so I can’t even try search for the ones I need… I can truncate the field with a formula field, but that takes out of the table the custom palette. If the Configure Alias honored the filters or even allowed to search for the items we need when using a string field to group by would be great!Thank you
Can we please have Univot option just like we have pivot under transformation ?Option like we have in excel using power query editor where can just select the columns to be unpivoted and select the option Unpivot Columns and everything is done in a few seconds. I wish Gainsight had it but they can take it a feature request. For example, if you look at this image; ID1 has values for ABC and XYZ and ID2 has only for DTE. Left hand side the data we have and on the right hand side is what we need to have Thanks,
Currently, there are a few ways how emails can be logged to Timeline:1. Using Email to Timeline feature using BCC2. Via Chrome Addin -"Email to Timeline" checkbox3. Create an activity manually in TimelineIt would be helpful to sync Gmail emails in Gainsight automatically, the same as the "configuring your calendar" feature. Our CSM team suggested this and find this as a quickest way to track conversations in Gainsight
When looking for a way to export a list of our events (there’s not one, so I added the idea below), I considered a copy/paste solution from Control. However, it’s not possible. {your-domain}.insided.com/event/overview is not paginated and only shows the most recent 25 events. It seems that the UI for this is incomplete, as it does’t match the other pages in the Content section of Control. While events are different than other topics, I suggest adding similar features, particularly: pagination filters search saved viewsRelated idea:
Currently “Configure Aliases” is available for string fields. Please allow this option for numerical fields. We can use this to create “Value Buckets” thus achieving reports that are not currently possible in Gainsight. For e.g. Numerical field of Compliance ranges from 0 - 100+ needs to be bucketised into : 0-25,25-50,50-75,75-100,100+ etc.
My org has a custom fiscal calendar with 12 periods that follow the 4-5-4 pattern. Ideally we would like Gainsight reporting to conform to these periods, so as the Gainsight admin I would need to be able to filter or group by date fields in Data Designer at this fiscal period level. Data Designer currently only offers the ability to filter or aggregate date fields at the fiscal year or fiscal quarter level. I’m curious if there are plans to add this functionality at the fiscal period level?
We have a custom role and rank icon for employees which has been very handy in the forum to indicate when an answer is coming from staff. But the rank icons do not show in the Ideas area. This makes it difficult to differentiate between a comment left by a customer and one left by staff. We want to make it clear to customers that they are hearing directly from our product team!
In the Audience Setup the Participant State is a picklist, but in a Evaluation Step is treated as a string. Also, the documentation statuses are different which complicates this task even more… My request is quite simple:In the sake of parity/consistency and #adminQualityOfLife, can the Evaluate Step match the audience behaviour and the documentation too, please?
Today in the Global and 360 Cockpits, as an Admin I can create Admin views of CTAs for my users, and users can create custom filter sets and save those as custom views. For the Cockpit widget in Home, neither of those are possible today. If I’m in Home using the Cockpit widget, I would expect the same capability (and importantly, the same way to do the same thing) as I get in the Global and 360 Cockpits.
I found out that there were sporadic Gong <> GS integration failures throughout October...at the end of November. The only reason I found this out was because a CSM was looking for a particular activity from 10/30 and could not find it. With the way the integration works, the execution logs need to be monitored proactively in order to find any potential issues. It would be great to be able to set execution log notifications similarly to most other parts of the system.
Have a situation where a rule failed, but not for any given reason. It was a complete failure, though the rule had run perfectly fine the day before and has been running fine since. Would like to see that, when the error isn't specific to data problems (missing Account ID's, etc), that the rules engine will try to rerun the rule at some specified time later, maybe after 60 minutes or so? Especially if this rule is part of a rule chain, or even just part of a logical ordered rule run, the failure of this rule can cause other failures.
We have recently found several dozen examples of emails that bounced in Journey Orchestrator, but show as valid using the Email Validator tool in Gainsight. This is a huge product gap, as the only way to clear these emails, is to create a Gainsight ticket and have Send Grid remove the bounce. Furthermore, bounced emails are dropped from Programs, so subsequent CTAs are not created in the Journey even thought he CTA does not need to use a valid email address. Possible solutions to address all these problem statements:Fix email validator so we can clear bounced emails without opening a Gainsight ticket Allow bounced emails to continue on a Journey instead of dropping. This could be a different path on the same Journey, for example, if email bounced, create CTA to CSM and conditional wait for valid email or CTA Closed, then return to program start Allow a different uniqueness criteria for bounced emails so they can re-join the Program sooner than other program statusesGainsight ticket for reference: 171864
Allow configuration within Programs for failed participants to create a CTA if certain conditions are met. Our work-around for this is to create a rule separate from the Program that creates a CTA when a participant fails. This is significant more admin development and breaks to workflow into 2 different Gainsight features, which is not ideal for troubleshooting issues.
Hi,Still stuck on the CSQL “feature”.Currently, the table view serves as a form of in-line edit report. Great. And we can disable fields from being displayed or edited there. We can also NOT display the External ID of the lead (which makes 0 sense despite what Support states). The detail view serves as BOTH a:New lead registration form Existing lead edit formGainsight CSQL detail view. That’s a problem, because in a number of instances we do NOT want created leads to be edited from within Gainsight. Especially where it’s impossible to use the connector job due to the overall limitations of the CSQL feature (and the built-in filter on “Lead Source = Gainsight”, and leads aren’t on real-time sync. Because whatever is editable to create a lead is editable in detail view when you click on the lead in the table view. These need to be split : we need to be able to disable edits in detail view, without impacting the actual lead creation. A lead should not be editable forever in Gainsight, and this is basically allowing it to be editable forever which it shouldn’t be. When it leaves Gainsight, it shouldn’t be editable anymore (at least not on the UI). Saying I’m unhappy with this feature is an understatement. There’s so much work required to make it functional.ThanksA
We have Welcome Emails that are sent out through Gainsight and it gets logged in to the respective customer's Timeline. In some cases when the email is not sent out automatically, we manually sent it out after creating a CTA and using the Send Email option. For the ones that I send out manually, I can see an option in the Timeline entry to Edit, Share Via Email, Copy Link, Copy To Clipboard and Delete but for the ones that are automatically sent and logged in the Timeline, I have only the option to Copy Link. It would be great if we have the same options available for a system logged email in Timeline.
It would be nice to have the ability to Run/Test Run a Horizon Rule from the Execution History. Today, You need to go back to edit rule, and then click Run Now at the top.Sometimes I jump to execution history and might want to just re-run a rule immediately after, and it would be nice to save a step. Sometimes rules fail and just need to be re-run.
In reports today you can add labels for charts to show what value the corresponding color applies to, such as in the below example: What you don’t have, is an easy way to state what field is being referenced. You can add things to the description, make big clunky report/widget names (examples here and here of why this isn’t a great solution). This is a good example of why this can be a problem - when reporting on data involving health score measures, the scheme for any measure from the same scorecard would be the same. So just looking at this, you have no idea which measure these pertain to. You don’t even get the information when you mouseover the label itself or the corresponding slice of pie. e.g. (but smaller text) It would be helpful to be able to add the “axis” field label in some way, preferably without needing to mouseover, but that could work - just to help make reporting that much clearer to end users.
