Share a Dashboard of reports with my Customers and tailor it to what they care aboutNew Idea

As a CSM, I want to help my customer’s have the data they care about at their finger tips to monitor adoption and track the value metrics they care about. There are 2 upcoming GS roadmap items, 1) DH Spaces and 2) Reports tab added to Success Plans, that will make the sharing of reports and dashboards with customers a lot easier. The problem is, there is no “one size fits all” approach to what a customer cares about tracking and understanding. An admin built dashboard will be a great starting point, but as a CSM I want to customize the Dashboard and Reporting views to meet my customers exact needs. I want the reports I share with them to be viewed as so useful to them that they want to check them regularly.  I imagine something similar to customizing GS Home, a canvas with widgets that can be added, deleted and rearranged by the CSM for/with the customer. This is a big added benefit of having a “named CSM” on an account, the ability to better customize your spaces, and it will also help scale the CSM by making sure the customer’s Space has the information they would usually ping a CSM to get manually. IMO this would help drive engagement into Shared Success Plans and DH Spaces more than any other potential feature. Having customers actually get into those two areas more regularly has a ton of potential benefits to any other information and tools that are housed in SP and Spaces.

Horizon Rules & Data Designer: Include Lookup "Path" in the Display NameNew Idea

In Data Designer, and the Rules Engine when building Horizon Rules, I wish the Display Name displayed the entire Lookup path of the selected field rather than only the Field Name itself. By keeping the entire Lookup path of any selected field, the Admin is able to work more quickly and with less ambiguity than having the Display Name take on only the Field Name. These two screenshots compare Bionic Rules with the Horizon Rules / Data Designer experience. In the Bionic experience, it’s easy to differentiate the GSID and Name fields, especially because the Output Field Label carries the entire path into any subsequent Tasks within the rule. In the Horizon experience, the GSID and Name are harder to differentiate, requiring a manual edit of the Display Name field. Side note: Given the UI, you cannot even use the details on-screen to differentiate. One must hover over the Aggregation column and view the tooltip to disambiguate the fields.I have a very long-time best practice to always rename a GSID or a Name field (to Company GSID or Company CSM Name, as examples) whenever its path is ambiguous. This reduces the opportunity for confusion or ambiguity when rule building. That step of manually editing a field Display Name is much less necessary in the Bionic UI than in the Horizon / DD UI. Given you cannot save a Horizon Rule / DD fetch when there are duplicate Display Names, the Admin has to stop and make an edit that wasn’t required in the Bionic Rules environment.

Re-usable filters across engagements, Audience, and AnalyticsNew Idea

We have many engagements and onboarding experiences that use similar filter criteria. For example, we want to filter several engagements by combinations of geography and by another custom attribute, with the geography being not just a single country but multiple countries that receive the same regional experience. The criteria are consistent across engagements and across our analytics, but users may match different elements of our criteria over time.We would like to be able to create reusable sets of filters that we can maintain across Gainsight and import across a few areas, including:Audience dashboard Analytics reports EngagementsRight now, every time we have to modify the criteria for these groups of users, we have to find every single place across several different areas of Gainsight. Given that we have dozens of engagements and are building out more reports, this is both a maintenance nightmare and extremely error-prone due to the amount of manual work and tracking of filter criteria usage: We 100% know that there are going to be engagements targeted at the wrong users or NOT targeted at teh right users.Segments are similar to what we want, but the matching algorithm makes it impossible for us and the fact that once a user is matched on a given date they are there forever causes significant issues. If there is ever an error in the logic and users are incorrectly matched to a segment, the segment is made worthless. Similarly, if there’s ever a change to our logic, we have to actually recreate the segment from scratch to repopulate the user base. Furthermore, you can’t use Segments in many of the other places within Gainsight.
