Setting Dependency features between tasks and CTAs would be very good to follow the tasks and CTAs in the correct order within success plan templates
Submitting this potential enhancement on behalf of a customer. They are hoping to use the Mass Edit tool to update the CTA Name field in bulk. As of today that is not possible. Asking for a potential feature enhancement to support that functionality. Thanks!
The permissions you need to add to a bundle are often not named what you’d expect for the access you want to give. There are also a bunch of what seems to be old or non-functioning things. Please can it have a deep-clean and tidy up so it’s more user friendly. Some examples;Admin → Connectors 2.0 - this is needed to give end-users (i.e non admins) the ability to see the Authorize Connection option in their My Profile (which is needed for Renewal Centre, and will be for the Zoom integration I believe) There's no way to know that’s what you need to turn on for them. AND it also gives users the menu item for Admin → Connectors 2.0. Luckily they can’t actually do anything to connectors (it gives them an access denied page) because actually you need to give Connector 3.0 for that - again though, why would you think this, when the menu section/page itself is called Connectors 2.0. Renewal Centre has two further sub options, Analyze and Forecast. Giving access to just one doesn’t change anything. They still get both. Survey Permissions if you want to give end-users the ability to view their survey results from C360 widget (when you go to the detail) you have to give Survey → Survey Response which again gives them a menu item (Survey) that they can’t use. What is the extra section for Survey Permissions even for if you can’t do it there??
I get that a gantt charts generally make the most sense when the order of the objectives is dependent on when they are due, but we have several objectives due the same day. What is the secondary ordering method in this case? It looks random to me. These are a few that have confused me: It's obviously not alphabetical, and can't be based on the existence of a playbook. Any other ideas. We would like to have some control over this to keep such a long and intense process as clear as possibly for the client.
After a year of using Gainsight CS, the dashboard dropdown list on Gainsight Home is becoming very long. It would be nice if we could structure that list, for example by adding sections that include similar purpose dashboards.
The buttons <, > and X in the slider engagement by design are not step-level, they are part of the slider. Can we support them to be styled at step-level as a feature enhancement?
Mainly what the title says.Currently to create a template you need to create first an engagement. Would be nice to have a dedicated section to do that without the need to create “temporary” engagements. In that section would be great the ability to tag them, making them more easily accessible for future engagements; currently the only search available is by name.
Data Designer numeric and currency field values automatically set the default number of decimal places to 9. NINE! Please set default number of decimal places to 2, or even better, 0. I heard this also happens in S3 dataset tasks.
A good Community knows it's members. An even better Community knows each other. I am delighted to see that members are reaching out to each other, not only for answers, but also for fun. In order to do so, a lot of private messages are being send. Not only our members, but also we as moderators receive and send quite a few of them. We would love to see the possibility to delete private messages, for both moderators as members. Why, you ask? If a member sends a private message with personal information such as an address or bank account number, they sometimes ask us to remove that information after the case has been handled. We can not meet their request. Some members receive unpleasant messages (or spam). They wish to have those messages removed. Removing irrelevant or old messages keeps the Control environment structured and clear for a moderator. The same goes for our members. Lets keep the Community fresh!
It would be great to have the ability for timeline entries to be pushed out to Slack channels. We have an internal process where by we keep everyone involved on the customer account updated on customer communications and engagements. Currently there are two approaches to this by different CSMs.Create timeline entry, send it as email and email it to the Slack channel’s email address so it posts into Slack as an email. Send a Slack message into the channel with meeting notes and use Gainsight Sally to then post it to Timeline. There are too many clicks and required edits to format it into timeline. Also you lose the ability to create CTAs by adopting this approach (I think from memory)Thanks!
As a Gainsight administrator, when I select “does not equal true” as the filtering criteria for a boolean field in MDA data fetches, I expect this to be evaluate to “does not equal true” rather than “equals false”.If it’s possible for a boolean field to contain null values — which it is — then it should be possible to include/exclude these via filters.Support confirmed that this was expected behaviour and provided a relatively complicated workaround with multiple additional transform steps. My suggestion would be that, if the filter behaviour can’t be changed, Gainsight should enforce a default value on boolean fields so that null values can’t exist.
Hello, I understand that there is a maximum character limit of 33000 for this feature. Would it be possible to either expand that limit (maybe make it configurable per ENV?) or just truncate off the extra when you hit that limit?
There are several options for sharing reports/dashboards in Gainsight, but none of them are stellar:Download dashboard as PDF This is a literal PDF of your screen basicallyShare dashboard as PPT Creates slides with literal screenshots of each report & widgetShare dashboard as Link This is okay internally, but working out the kinks for external sharing since it removes custom filters you appliedDownload report data Exports data into table saved as an Excel sheetDownload report image Saves literal screenshot of report Our company’s recommended approach is do-it-yourself screenshot magic: Find your report Make it full screen Take screenshot Save screenshot Share screenshot The native export/share functionality in Gainsight should be good enough to not warrant the do-it-yourself screenshot magic approach. The issue with the literalness of the PDF and images is that it can cut off data, the legend, labels, etc.
A useful feature I would like to pitch for PX is to add a time-based goal widget to track progress toward a goal/metric over time. This is something that is done by Pendo and would be useful to our PX users as well.
Team, Whenever we have a report visualized in a pie chart, we are unable to add a label or a title to the graph to indicate the actual data being shown. When in the report builder, this is OK as we can see what fields are being shown within the report, but when adding to a dashboard or embedding within a C360 section, we are only left with the title of the report. It would be nice if we had a chart option to label the chart (or each chart if we are showing more than one pie chart) so that end users fully understand the data being presented. Thanks! Josh
We populate some of our Timeline entries' fields into sections of the CS360 page so that users with Shared 360 access and those not wanting to dig through the weeds can easily see the most important updates. It would be helpful to pull the Activity Date into the front (or back) of those updates so that the users could know when the entry was posted. Currently, the Concat formula in the Transformation task type only allows for String fields and I'm not seeing a way to convert a date or numeric field so that it would be able to be entered there. Thanks!
Talking about the toggle on the 360 Summary section for “Summary” which enables a rich text area field right in the Summary. It seems the field on Relationship is called "Comments", instead of "Summary" as it is on Company. Why the inconsistency?
As a matter of convenience, it would be fantastic to see a “Run Now” button on the Execution History page in Rules Engine. I’m often in the info screen looking around and reviewing results, and triggering a manual execution means I have to close that window to go back to the main screen, run the rule, and then reopen the window to monitor the execution-in-progress so I can download the results. The button should open the same pop-up that the usual process does. See my extremely professional mock-up below…
We need the abilty to restrict the Community and Support links that exist on the GS search bar to ONLY Gainsight users with Gainsight Admin access permissions. We do not want our end users opening support tickets with Gainsight directly (believe me, Gainsight does not want this either) or logging ideas/problems to the Gainsight community. The ideas posted to the community from Red Hat need to be managed/throttled through our operations/administration team to ensure they are inline with our internal roadmap. This to me feels like a pretty big item from an operational perspective. How quickly can this get rectified?
Currently, all Objectives in Gainsight have the same layout. If I want to creat custom layouts that apply to only specific types of objectives (e.g. specific objective category or specific success plan type) - I can't do it today. This limits the ability of adding fields and customizing layouts for different use cases for success plans. Is this a planned enhancement?
