Have you explored how the End-of-Course Screen can help guide your learners throughout their learning experience?  🧠 Tip: This feature is only available for individual courses, not courses within learning paths. You can edit these setting in the specific course settings via the course builder in the End of course screen section (see below) The default end-of-course screen offers basic functionality: a simple congratulations message with options to return to the dashboard or revisit the completed course.

Hi all -I spent a few hours this weekend creating a project that some of you might find useful. I’ve been looking for an in-course AI assistant that embeds directly into your Skilljar LMS courses. As it turns out, the only easy option for Rise courses was via an iframe which wasn’t what I was after.What I built is a floating in-course AI chat widget that allows learners to ask questions about your course. Regarding the Access Code domain access option, I would love to hear how others are managing the process of getting access codes to learners and guiding them through account setup.I'm curious about:How do you facilitate the process of getting access codes to your learners? We’re running a multi-module certification program and have received consistent beta feedback around learner progress visibility and resumption behavior. Specifically: Resume behavior When a learner exits a course partway through a module and returns later, the platform does not return them to where they left off Instead, it restarts the module from the beginning Completion indicators Learners do not see a clear visual indicator of which lessons or modules they’ve completed While there are checkmarks/circles in the navigation, they appear the same for all lessons and don’t clearly signal completion at the lesson or module level Questions: Are either of these behaviors configurable within Skilljar? Have others implemented workarounds (UX patterns, design choices, or structural changes) to improve:

We have a course that has a quiz. We have it set to allow 3 retakes of the quiz. We also have a milestone set that they have to pass with 80% in order to complete the course. However, on the first try of the quiz, if they don’t pass, they don’t have any option to retake the quiz. Can you not have milestones if you want to allow retakes and vice versa? Learners are getting stuck and I can’t see anyway to get past it except for completely resetting all their course progress (not just the quiz). Any suggestions, or is this just not possible in CE (Northpass)?Thanks!

Some users on our Skilljar-powered Academy report embedded YouTube videos displaying this error. They are signed into Skilljar, but this error occurs because they are viewing the embedded YouTube video without being signed into YouTube.Is there anything Skilljar can do to prevent this? YouTube likely identified this traffic as potential bot traffic. Can Skilljar not do anything to convince it otherwise?Do you think advising users to log in to their own YouTube account would be helpful? I’m not sure if the embedded video is aware of whether the user is logged in or not. I will ask them to try for now, but any advice would be appreciated.attn ​@Dean Spalding

Hi GainsightCE community! We’re working on a new badge system/gamification strategy for our internal teams. I’m curious - how do you use badges in GainsightCE? 

We are new to Skilljar and Articulate Rise. We have some very lengthy SCORM content created in Rise that is organized with sections and lessons, but we find that when updates to the content is required, we have to replace the SCORM file and it forces existing learners to start over. What is the best way to handle this. Is it an industry practice to not put all the content in one SCORM but to use multple SCORM packages in a course structure in Skilljar so that progress is not reset?

Hi!  I'm looking for insight on how people are handling optional lessons in your courses.Our Challenge:While I appreciate that Skilljar provides an optional lesson setting, I've found that the dotted circle icon visual indicator isn't intuitive for our learners. Many don't realize they can complete the course without finishing those lessons :-(  Our Current Workaround:We’ve been adding "Optional Lesson" directly in the lesson title (e.g., "Optional Lesson: How to Edit a Field"), but this feels clunky and clutters the lesson titles.My Questions for You:Are your learners also confused by the optional lesson indicator?  Have you found effective ways to communicate that a lesson is optional? Do you use any other workarounds (e.g., include some details on optional lessons in your course intro explanation)?I'd like to find a solution that's clear to learners without having to manually modify the lesson

re: the recent Salesforce Connection Failure...Can you confirm if this impacted the Northpass app (as a subsidiary of GS), or only the Gainsight app?  

Skilljar Community,For people using custom code snippets that don’t fall into the “Skilljar-supported” category, have you experienced any significant challenges that have caused issues with your site’s usability? Trying to understand the real-world impact of using custom code that is not “supported” by Skilljar.Thanks in advance for your input!

We have multiple domains, one  internal-facing (for employees only) and another external-facing (for customers, although internal users can access it too).When managing domains, there is a setting for Cross Domain Access. It says “When "Off" - students will need to register (or purchase) the course separately on each domain for access. When "On" - a student may access the course on any domain after registering once.”Two QuestionsWe want internal employees who enroll in courses on the internal domain to also be able to access those same courses and see their progress when they log into the external domain. Will enabling this setting accomplish that? Important: We do NOT want this to work in reverse - external customers should not be able to access internal domain courses. Does this setting create one-way or two-way access?"

We have updated lesson titles across multiple courses; however, the Search function is not reflecting these changes. In cases where titles were significantly revised, affected lessons are not appearing in search results at all.I have had a support ticket open regarding this matter for four months without resolution. Given the direct impact on the student experience, I wanted to reach out to the community:Has anyone else encountered this search indexing issue? Have any workarounds been identified that could restore search functionality in the interim?

Before we roll out our learning paths and courses, we have members of our Customer Support (CS) group act as internal testers. They go through the learning paths and provide feedback on how to improve the courses and quizzes. Based on their feedback, we then make necessary changes to the courses and questions.To ensure that those who completed the course retain their achievements, we must "Publish to New Learners."We would like to provide another method for internal testers to access the courses while also being able to see updates as they are made.
