**Posting on behalf of a customer** When creating a Dynamic Program (redesigned advanced programs) it should be more clear where the end point is and when there is a break in the path’s that connect one step to the next. We have run into instances where one step appears to be connected but it is not and after publishing, that now disconnected path ends the journey when it shouldn’t. The image below is to show an example that it looks like it could be connected but it is not. There needs to be a more clear cut requirement to “End the Journey” at a spot instead of just leaving a path open. At the very least we need to make it where it is MUCH EASIER to see when a path is not connected since you have the ability to publish programs with them not being connected, as said above, leaving it open is our current process on how to end the journey.
If I use Sally in Slack and type in the word “great,” I get the error: “you do not have the permission to perform this action. Contact your Gainsight Admin for further assistance.” This is due to the system taking the word “great” as gratitude and not initiating a search for companies with the name “great” in it. Keep in mind, this only affects “great.” “greater” and “greatest” do not have this issue. I know this is expected behavior, but for the user, this can be a little inconvenient. Can we do something about this?
It gets me every time. If this has to be required, can you tell me before I enter all of the CTA information in and try to save? So much re-work to find the field, copy it down, and re-enter the entire CTA details.
This applies to the widget In Horizon 360 - you can open the last 5 timeline entries right from the summary section which is great. However, you don’t seem to be able to click on it and jump to the full time widget, nor have the ability to set that up.I think it would be useful as a CSM, should I want to go beyond those 5, to just click right from it and jump to the main timeline.
One of our users shared that it would be very nice to have the renewal date indicator widget on the C360 as a visual indicator in addition to the text based approach. This would help quickly identify if you have a renewal coming up. Better yet would be to be able to control the color thresholds. So if it is less than 30 days out, maybe red.
Hi there,To help drive personalisation of profiles and keep the community a human space, can we have the new users add their profile picture/avatar during the registration? This would save an extra step to go to profile settings to make edits. Thank you!
Hello team,As of now, we do not have any field in the success plan object to report on the success plan templates. This would be great to add as we also do not have any workarounds available for now. Thanks
I tested the webhook event for integration.UserProfileUpdated and it did not trigger on two kinds of profile updates:Avatar change Profile SignatureIt should; they are both options on the Edit Profile page. More importantly, these are two ares of moderation risk. There are no alerts for when users update either of these fields that display prominently across the community UI. Adding them to the payload, or providing new a webhook event for each would allow admins to subscribe to updates and create their own alerts, monitoring to ensure nothing inappropriate is being displayed on profiles or posts.
Hi Community, one of our customers has reached out to support and brought up a great point. It appears that Rich Text boxes on the Linked Object Tabs of CTAs are given much smaller spatial allotments than what we see for the Details tab, for example:Details Tab, displaying the width of both System (Comments) and Custom (Custom Rich Text) Rich Text fields“Oppty” tab, displaying the linked Salesforce Opportunity Object & the more narrow textbox for a custom Rich Text Area field from Salesforce It would be great to see a wider box for the Salesforce RTA fields, too! Thanks!
Loving the GS Outlook plugin. Team is using it to speed up their meeting recaps. When selecting the activity type to update the timeline, it would be great to have all optional fields relating to that activity type populate so the team can update from their email.Example: we have some fields that are required to be captured when entering a meeting entry to the timeline. We set the activity type to meeting, but then are required to go to the timeline and update the required fields. If we could do this at email creation, that would be preferred.Fields for Outlook plugin:Other fields available in GS:Thanks!
Hello,We are an Outlook shop, so our CSMs have the Outlook plug-in from their inbox to quickly sync their emails from Outlook to Timeline. One CSM had asked me if there was a way to flag an email as already having been synced to Timeline, so the CSM can quickly see that and move on to the next email.Gainsight Support confirmed that you can’t log/sync the same email more than once with the Outlook plug-in, but it’d be cool if there was a way to easily identify that as an end-user from Outlook. Salesforce does this with their plug-in. See the attached screenshot. The gray flag gives the CSM visibility that that email has already been sent to SFDC Activity History.
Success Plan objectives are CTAs. CTAs can be created, updated, closed via rules. But not Objective CTAs. Please just add Objective to the CTA types you can interact with in the rules engine/JO or wherever rules are manipulated. In addition to the numerous use cases you’d have for leveraging rules with CTAs, here’s one for objectives: You have a process to handoff data from a sales team into Gainsight - based on that data you want to create a success plan, but the objectives of the success plan will vary slightly based on that data, as will the attached playbooks. Yes you can create multiple SP templates, but if you have more than one or two different combinations this will be obnoxious and not feasible to maintain.
Whoever decided that Objectives should be allowed to be created in C360/Global Cockpit apart from Success Plans - and not give the admins ability to control that - missed the mark. Objectives have always been specific to Success Plans. That is what users are used to.Now if they see they can create Objectives in Global/C360 cockpit, it blurs the lines of where you go to create what CTA type. Saying “this will only work if Objective CTAs behave differently” is a cop-out IMO because:If you can figure out how to give admins the ability to allow/restrict which CTA types can be created through the Success Plan cockpit, you can figure out how to give admins the ability to allow/restrict which CTA types can be created the Global/C360 cockpit. If you really wanted to make this work, you would have given the ability to attach any CTA type to a Success Plan through the Global/C360 cockpit. Now we’re going to end up with users creating Objectives in C360/Global cockpit thinking they did it through the SP interface, and then coming to admin saying “Oh can you move this over here please?” End users aren’t good with ambiguity. If they see it’s possible, they’re going to do it. (See Timeline) Without our ability to create clear guardrails, they will make mistakes that will impact their (and our) productivity.
SF Connectors aren’t robust enough to account for loading data based on a combination of logical factors, i.e. when you need to load users based on values in a different object than User. For example, we want to load in external contractors but only when they have been assigned to a Project in SFDC.Discovered yesterday that Load to User only support Update, not Upsert. This is very restrictive. Need to have the ability to Insert and Upsert into the user table.
Every community needs to do content maintenance at some point. Not being able to disable certain notifications from being sent while doing maintenance work, is a recipe for getting frustrated users. Example: A community has one category with topics revolving around Blackberry and Windows Phones, and another category with Sony and Nokia phones topics. As all of these device types have had a rapid decrease in global market share, there’s no need to have several categories for them anymore. So it is decided that they need to be merged into a “Other mobile devices” category. In the process several thousand topics need to be moved from one category to another. As it is not possible to disable notifications (only inSided can disable them), several thousand notification emails would be sent out to anyone who has subscribed to the “target” category and has enabled email notifications. (Spoiler: This happened to us this week. Our power users weren’t happy.) That’s why we propose some technical and customization improvements. Option 1: While notifications for moving single topics from one category to another stay active, they will be disabled automatically as soon as more than one topic (e.g. a batch) is being moved at the same time. This way users won’t get spammed with tens / hundreds / thousands of emails while moderators are doing maintenance work (usually moving multiple questions at once that have already been replied to or even solved), but users still get a notification when a single topic gets moved (usually when it is being identified in the current activity stream). Option 2: On the (future) notification configuration page, there is a toggle to enable / disable every notification type, e.g. you can globally disable notifications for new topics in subscribed categories, but all other notifications stay active. A combination of both options can also make sense.
**Posting on behalf of a customer**It would be extremely beneficial if we allowed sorting of CTA Types in the Cockpit Administration, especially given that sorting columns is present across multiple areas of Gainsight already. The image below is to help clarify that area I am referring to. Being able to sort these columns would help with efficiency for those that heavily utilize multiple CTA Types.
Hi All,Use case 1:A user who created some dashboards left the company and that user has been deleted from PX Instance. So now the dashboards are showing as orphan dashboards and no one has the ability to delete or edit those dashboards. Use Case 2:How do I delete a dashboard Created by other Users? So it will be helpful if the ability to edit or delete All dashboards is provided to Administrator in the above two cases.Use Case 3:We can delete a product even if there is a dashboard built on it, however, the screen goes blank if we try to open the dashboard of deleted products. So it will be helpful, if this can also be handled. Regards,R Satheesh
We sell our product to Accounts, they might have an agreement with us to never send surveys to their users. I do not see a way to flag the Account as not being included in surveys. We would have to populate this for each user and that is not possible as they come and go.Ask is for Account level Opt Out field that can be set by an administrator or API call. Then would be honored by all users within that account. TLDR: UserPreferences should inherit from Account level preferences. Need to create "trackUsage" "productUpdates" "guidedTours" "surveys" "onboardingBot" at the account level and have them inherit down to the user level.
Currently the User Management page only gives the option to “Transfer Ownership of another user’s assets such as reports, dashboards, filters, and so on”, if the user is not an admin. There is no option for one admin to take ownership of the content of another admin. Perhaps this can be done with a support ticket to request the content ownership transferred but this is not outlined in the documentation. I would love to see this as part of a larger content management tool that could do more detailed transfers of ownership rather than the instigating user simply being able to take all content to themselves.
When a user leaves the company or shifts to a role that does not use Gainsight PX, I want to be able to transfer ownership of that person’s reports, filters, etc to another user.Only administrators have access to user management, and currently, the only option is to transfer ownership of those items to yourself. Instead of temporarily giving someone administrator permission, I would like to be able to select the user who should receive ownership.
It would be helpful for my organization if the partial submission timer on surveys was customizable or if we had the option to remove the 5 second rule. Our organization struggles with getting responses from surveys and so we have dialed them all back to only include one question. We do use the inline survey feature for the invitation email which has upped our clicks. But what we are noticing is that although the survey is opened the submitted/partial submission is half the number. After testing we have discovered that from an inline click to closing out the populated webpage it takes an average of 3 seconds, but the partial submit only works after a participant has been on the page for 5 seconds. This is causing us to lose 50% of our responses for all our CSAT surveys and forcing us to rethink our want for simple and add in filler questions to slow participants down.
