I am working with a team using programs (JOs) and they have suggested an idea of filtering out participants if one of the primary contacts books a call, preventing others in the same company from continuing the JO generating additional emails & CTAs. This saves the team time for companies that have already renewed with them. Spoke to GS support about this and mentioned nothing OOB is currently in place and to post the idea here.
I have a customer in Europe who is trying to use DD-MM-YYYY as their date format. We only support MM-DD-YYYY format in the MDA right now, but with more and more European customers coming on board, it would be nice to support DD-MM-YYYY. Any plans on that? Also, any suggested approaches for getting around this?
It would be awesome if we could configure email templates with modular sections.So- rather than having to create multiple versions, we would be able to apply filters (similar to the versions!) to show/not show certain sections within one single email template. This would be especially helpful for complex programs. For example, we have one program that targets 3 risk factors - but not all customers have all three factors. There could be combinations of each. (example: A and B, or B and C, or A and C, etc.) Each risk factor is addressed in a “section” of the email template. Right now we are managing the permutations through multiple versions (one for each combo of risk factors), but this quickly becomes unmanageable when additional factors are added. If this feature were available - we would be able to have ONE template, and filter for each risk factor to determine if that particular section should be shown. Thanks!
We’d like to know data about how our email recipients view their content--on desktop or on mobile. As far as I can tell, there isn’t an easy way to do this today in Gainsight CS.
Add the ability to sum the total for donut charts. This is functionality available with SFDC reporting and is a limitation when migrating from SFDC to Gainsight for reports. You can add a column calculation but this is only for the section and requires an extra click.
The CTAs used to expand the details when clicking on the name, but now this new button appears so you have to specifically click on that tiny rectangle to achieve the same. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all in for change. But beautifying the UI at the cost of losing functionality makes no sense.
IMO there should be an end-user controlled toggle for every type of system email with the core* community experience. *one time transactional emails like these are outside that core experience: Account approved Activate account Reset password Welcome to the CommunityWhen a user clicks an unsubscribe variable, it should toggle that setting OFF, rather than permanently block them from getting that type of email (see linked idea above). When a user toggles this setting ON, it should also apply to corresponding buttons on landing pages (Product Updates, Events)This would allow the end user to always control their own preferences. Currently, if they use an unsubscribe variable, there is neither a way for them to fix it themselves in these settings, nor a way for an admin to support them. Currently missing from end user notification settings:New Product Update New Event Is your problem solved? Join a groupAnd, of course, this idea would require any net new system emails to be added to end user settings as well. Like this one:
Placing this under “Groups” product specifically, but could see this as a nice to have in other areas of the Community as well. I think it would be great if we could see all the members that “unsubscribe” from Group/topic notifications so that we have a more accurate understanding of how many people in a particular group join but might not be receiving information from us and/or other users.
Timeline is so juicy....I love it! One idea that could really help to drive organizational consistency is the ability to define a template that would auto fill parts of the draft activity text. For example, instead of giving the user free rein to enter whatever, if there were some key data elements or formatting style that was important for consistency, have the template drop that text in automatically. For example, a possible template for a customer meeting could be: [i]Summary: [i]Current health & trend: [i]Action items: [i]Item 1 [i]Item 2[i]Notes: [i]Notes, etc[i]Next meeting scheduled:
Let me preface this by saying that I like the cleaner/minimalistic look of the new UI. However, I have some feedback related to both the Admin and End user experience.I created a clone to test some layout changes. In the Portfolio Summary I have 4 reports:Companies, Distribution by Health (these two are OOTB), and two custom: Total Customer Count, Total ARR. I want to change it to 3 reports: Total Customers big at the left, Distribution by Health at the right and Total ARR below it. If I delete Companies, change to a 3-report layout will default to show the Add Attribute/Report instead of rearranging the 3 that I already have. I didn't expect that. Ask #1: If there is already a "blank" do not prioritize it when changing the layout to one with fewer reports. If I delete two and change to a two report layout, I'll expect those two to be shown. I understand there are implications if the user has 3 reports and changes to a 2 report layout, but I would think that at least the "chosen" will take precedence over a blank space. After, I tried rearranging the reports to leave Companies in the right-bottom position as this is the report that gets dropped when changing from the 4 to 3 report layout. Such a mistake thinking that drag and drop will swap the reports! The mental gymnastics to make this work caused me a headache and for a moment I thought I had figured it out, but the behaviour wasn’t consistent… I don’t know in which specific pixel I am supposed to drop the element to get always the same output 😖Drag and drop the element from top left to top rightGIF from above translated in static images: same drag and drop, different outputAsk #2: In this reduced space is waaay easier for an end user to swap things (if I move piece A on top of piece B, A will take B's place and B will take A's) than whatever is happening now. It takes much less time and effort to go to a 3-report layout and reconfigure everything from scratch than trying to figure out how to reorganize them, even considering that the customized reports sourced from Company default to Parent Company as identifier instead of GSID so you can easily fall into the trap of not having the correct GSID configured. Ask #3: If Company is the report’s source, use the Company GSID as default. Maybe I’m blind to other user needs (eg, we don’t have relationships) so I'm not sure if there is a scenario where this would not be the expected default value. I'm eager to hear other admins' feedback.Ask #4: I feel again this is just a matter of making the UI prettier but ignoring the UX… Why prioritizing looks over functionality? Filtered data spaces are still not supported and the oldest idea I can find about that is almost 3 years old, and there are newer ones with the same ask: Now, moving to the End-user interface. We noticed that the global filter applied sticks, so the next time the user lands in Home the filters are remembered. I'm not against this, there are instances where this is a time saver. However, now the global filter is collapsed by default which makes this stickiness a potential problem because it's not obvious which data is being shown. Additionally, this is a different behaviour than Dashboards, where the global filter bar is always visible. Ask #5: Do not collapse the global filter bar. Be consistent across features.Thank you,
This would be an update to the GS extension for GMAIL. On multiple occasions we have our CSM;s sending emails to people who they havnt spoken to before on an account, and when the GS assist function is being used, it would be great if the new contacts (who are not on the account already) could be automatically added to the account Today there is a lot of faff involved in going to GS mid email, adding the new person, making sure its saved and refreshed for the contact to be linked with the account in GS AssistA 1 click feature such as an option to '’Add new contact to Account in GS'’ Thanks
Hi everyone,We think that it would be really useful to have the option to see “Median Time from First Step” and “Median Time from Previous Step” in our funnel reports. We would even dare to say that this would be more useful to have then the currently shown “Average Time from First Step” and “Average Time from Previous Step” due to the nature of our products and our users.
C360 redesign space layout - reports take less space on the screen, it will be great to maximize the report view
Ability to clone tasks in Rules/Data Designer. Similar to being able to clone actions, cloning tasks would be a massive time saver also reducing the likelihood of errors.
With the new release, our Salesforce reports are no longer acting as they were. Likely with the removal of the pagination feature, the reports now only sort the rows visible. This is an ABSOLUTELY devastating back-step for our team. Our team likes to sort their reports (regardless of field type) to be able to work in a prioritized way. Please consider reverting back the functionality we previously had.
We have Global Timeline disabled in our instance as we have a certain group of our account hierarchy that we do not want Timeline activities created at. We’re okay with that sacrifice but due to having Global Timeline disabled, we get a Timeline access is restricted error when attempting to open a direct timeline link. The link is still shown when viewing timeline entries from the C360 as well as in email notification if a user is following a Company. Why would the permission for directly linking to a Timeline activity need to be directly associated to having Global Timeline enabled?
Hi there - I’d like to see better parity between Data Designer’s report builder and the normal report builder. I believe this post is an evolution to this one FYI A few things I’ve noticed are lacking in Data Designer’s reporting tool that are available in the regular report builder include: Ability to drill down. I’m surprised this doesn’t exist already, but I can’t drill down into bar charts, pie charts, etc. The functionality to drag fields into filters does not exist like it does in report builder. The settings aren’t nearly as robust (can’t re-order things, or re-name axes, etc.)I know I can just configure the data design and report on it, but sometimes I’d like to keep things confined to data designer, and these limitations are keeping me from doing that in certain circumstances. Thanks for considering.
I’m having trouble with a rule, the values of a dropdown are shown as GSIDs and I have to use that field as source for a case statement. But the issue is, that field has 12 possible values and only 8 are used, so there’s no “straightforward” method to get them. Is it possible to provide a simple way to get those collections of key-value pairs? (e.g, being accessible in report builder, download a CSV from data management with the GSID and value) Thanks,
I would love to be able to filter the path analyzer report by module. So for example, if I wanted to examine one area of the product (ex. the process for creating a chart), I would like to filter by the associated module and see all the clicks within that module. This is useful because it would eliminate clicks that were unrelated to that process (ex. editing your profile picture). Another useful feature could be the ability to minimize “Other” in path analyzer so that we could see the features more clearly.
I see some objects in our Gainsight that suggest this is possible, but they are all empty:With the exception of Namedmap Details, it seems to have entries, but it only updates after a while, and I don’t think they are complete, based on the people maps I have built. Has anyone else out there figured out how to report on the existence of a People Map on an account? I’d like to be able to add the existence of such a map to my scorecard because of how much it suggests intimacy with the client.
Hi Team, Can we have the ability to sync historical GonG.io calls to Gainsight? Every other product connector gives us the ability to sync historical data but with GonG.io, we are limited to syncing only those calls that were recorded after the connector was authorised.
If you ever had a profile with us, there's no need to create another one.
