Hello, I've spoke with a few of our power users and a very common practice is that they are constantly exporting data out of Gainsight and reformatting it into excel because the presentation layer of the reports within Gainsight is not up to the standard required for executive reporting. This tends to eat up a bunch of our time every time we need to prepare for an executive presentation. Overall I am happy with the functionality of Gainsight reports but the look and feel really need an upgrade. Is there anything on the road map to upgrade the reporting presentation layer?

Apparently, this is expected behavior and therefore an enhancement. So please upvote in order to have product parity.Funnel charts in Gainsight with data labels enabled display with 3 decimal points by default All other visualization charts (pie, donut, bar, dot, line...) with data labels enabled display with 0 decimal points by defaultAll visualization charts data labels should have the same number of default decimal points (0).Bonus points if you can make the default number of decimal points on data labels configurable by an admin. But even if they can just...you know...be consistent...that’d be great.
Posting on behalf of customer:The current process for adjusting future objective tasks within a Success Plan presents a challenge. Specifically, when you have a generated Success Plan with objectives and tasks with a start date in the future - for example, a Success Plan was created on 5/1, but the objectives and tasks have a start date of 5/15. If you view the Gantt Chart, the chart shows the tasks starting on 5/15. However, if you need to make edits to the objectives or tasks, there is no way in the UI to manually select the start date of those new tasks. The UI defaults the start date of the new task to the date it was added manually to the objective. This causes the objective’s start date to then back date from 5/15 to current date the new task was added. This behavior can cause confusion for Success Plans that have been scheduled to start on 5/15, but now suddenly have tasks that start on for example, 5/8. The ideal solution to this would be to allow users to have the ability to manually select a start date for the tasks during the creation process.
HelloI have a need to use a filter (My filter) created for one product to be used on another product on Account explorer, currently the filter is only available on the product it is created.
It is found for certain ticket default forms, different fields are marked as required when creating a ticket in Zendesk. Although the “Zendesk Requests” feature can directly create Zendesk tickets after a feedback is submitted in KC Bot, request from PX fail Zendesk validation due to x required field, as PX typically sends subject and description. Given the PX config isn’t able to config additional custom fields to send to Zendesk, it be nice to have that function to cater the different required fields customers have.
It would be great to have a feature that allows me to generate an externally accessible link for engagement previews. Our process is that someone internal will request an engagement, I build the engagement and send them back a screenshot of what it looks like. But they don’t necessarily get to interact with and see what the engagement will look like in our app. I would like to send a URL to them to see the engagement preview in-app.The only way I know how to do this at the moment is to add their specific email/user information in the audience, turn it live, let them see it, then pause the engagement (or create a draft), revise the audience and set it live again. This can also cause issues if they want to see it multiple times, then I’ll need to update the scheduling to allow for this and need to make sure I revise it back before turning it live again.
We have high priority content that we would like to surface as the first result when users search for specific terms. For example, if someone searches “onboarding” we want to make sure that our “Onboarding Guide” is the first article that shows up.Due to the algorithm, there are sometimes other articles that show up before our top priority content. This could be because the other articles are longer, have the keyword more, were updated more recently, have more views due to marketing efforts, etc. It would be great if we could mark content as “high priority” and have it show as the top result if certain keywords match. This would ensure that users are getting the best content for them.
Similar to customizing the search configuration for Company data; we would like to see something similar added to the fields displayed when searching for a person. When searching for a company, we’re able to configure additional fields that assist our team when searching for an account. It will prove difficult to search for a person in our use case, as there isn’t as much information. For our use case, we typically have users that are associated with different companies.Having the ability to add additional display fields such as associated company, status, etc (similar to the current configuration for company search), would be beneficial for our team and use case.
Hello,We moved our Product Updates process to the Community so that our Community could be the central location for our customers to learn about our products. Before our community, we would send out a PDF of our Release Notes to our customers directly via email. We now create multiple postings under Product Updates so that users could subscribe and better interact with the content by filtering posts by products that they have purchased or by searching. However, we are getting feedback from users that they REALLY miss the PDF. They want to be able to download a PDF for their records--or often times they are used to downloading a PDF, editing it, and sharing it with their teams. They really want a PDF to be attached to the posts. I noticed that you can attached files to most posting types--as a admin/moderator. It’s not a permissions thing--It’s just that product updates specifically doesn’t allow for file attachments. I would love to see taht option added so that we can meet our customer’s needs.
Hey all, We need a way to prevent further responses to a survey from company or relationship recipients when we have already recorded one response for the company or relationship level recipient (based on Company GSID or Relationship GSID).The challenge:It is rather frequent for us to send out emails with surveys (which will be to collect some form of data such as plans regarding X or Y, that is the same plan for a company or a relationship, regardless of recipient, but which we need to request from a number of individuals because of the eternal data quality issue). That means several participants can respond to the survey, and a response could end up overriding another (if we push data to another object) when really, we wanted one response BUT we had no choice but to send the survey to several participants (AND we want to record who the respondent is).The semi-anonymous survey doesn’t do the trick for that purpose. The need:We need a solution to “disable” survey links that were sent to participants from the same relationship or company AFTER we have received the first response for that relationship or company (this should be configurable to meet both the company or relationship setup). Simply - links sent to the other recipients should lead to an alternate end page saying “A colleague from your company has already responded!” (configurable, of course, and translatable). --We have worked out a workaround through a community discussion involving skip and display logic to prevent the display of actual questions based on a company or relationship field that we’d populate with a rule every time we receive a new response, which will allow us to either deflect responses OR to filter out responses which would just show the acknowledgement that we already have the response. But that does not scale - it’s DIY at best. cc : @dayn.johnson @benwanlessmenlo @vmallya - for your attention 😉 Thanks!A
The same old same old multi-select picklist is BACK in surveys :In skip or display logic, the operator is systematically an “IN”. It’s inconsistent with every other filtering capability in the platform which offers - even for multi-select picklists more than just the “IN” operator. It also offers a “NOT IN”. The challenge: I have a multi-select picklist in a survey question which captures versions. An answer may have several values (for example: 6.6.1 and 7.1.2). If someone is IN “7.1.2”, it is not sufficient to determine they should not see subsequent questions. I would need to know that:CONDITION A: IN 7.1.2ANDCONDITION B: NOT IN 6.x.x (and all the “6” options)And with the current tool, I CANNOT determine the second condition. The operator is automatically an “IN”. The need:Please align available operators in survey skip / display logic with operators in other areas of the platform, i.e. : equals, not equals, in, not in, contains, does not contain, starts with, is null, is not null. It’s about consistency, usefulness, admin QoL… @rakesh and @vmallya - this is probably at the crossroads of your responsibilities so tagging you both. Thanks!A
The “Used In” column on the Pre-Built Sections page of C360 layout builder would be so much better if it told you the layouts it is used in. This is very similar to Report Builder (Used In for dashboards), expect in Report Builder list view it actually tells you the name of the asset.Even if you try to hover over, you don’t get any more information on this one. Help :)
Had to user the bin, and realized that is not possible to filter by Company GSID. Seems like an oversight, I can bet that most of the times we are looking for deleted data from a specific Company...You can check out the Company but after selecting an item, adding the Company Id in the layout and will show the name Recycle bin - Not possible to filter by CompanyBut if you go back trying to fish the record of the Company that you want, it reverts to the default view and you have to add it again. Although I’m grateful that we have a Bin, the UI could be improved to make the navigation easier.Please1) Can the Company GSID/Name added as filter?2) Can the changes in the layout be sticky? And I mean everywhere, noticed this same behaviour in Data Management too. If you select for example a low volume object → Data tab→ plus to add fields → click on any other tab like Fields/Dependencies → go back to Data tab, the layout goes back to the default
The Rules Engine action for Load to Activities has a required field for Activity Date that will create a Milestone on Timeline for the date provided. However, the Activity Date field on Activity Timeline records is actually a DateTime. If we have a DateTime in our source, the Rule coverts this to a Date but then loads to Timeline as DateTime with 12:00 AM as the time -- essentially stripping the time granularity from our source. Can we instead have the Rules Engine pass the actual DateTime value to Timeline when creating Milestones?
Would it be possible to make the widgets on the C360 summary pages more dynamic? For instance, if a field has a NULL value then the widget does not appear for that client. Another idea would be to have them be able to change color based on value thresholds, so if attention needed to be drawn to a particular item it would be more face up to users.
Are there any plans to enhance the Gainsight AI to offer suggestions to CSM to improve the health score (ie. notification on home page that suggests to a CSM that they can get Client X health to Green by scheduling an EBR since the EBR score is in Red as an example.)
CSMs often start from Timeline for entries, not in a Success Plan.It would be great from Timeline to have a dropdown option to immediately associate a Success Plan from Timeline. We want to avoid a CSM entering directly to Timeline when they intended to make it to a Success Plan and have to redo all their work
