While workarounds exist, they are not ideal and have limitations. Journey Orchestrator would be greatly improved if a baked-in ability on the feature existed that allowed you to skip weekends for time periods (conditional waits, static timers, etc).Related articles:
Hi Team, Currently when we use the inline reports in JO and try to send a email , The columns are trimmed and we don't have an option to show complete column name or data in that column . While we add report to the program the column name is showing up fine but while sending, it is adjusting according to the template and trimming the column names and data in it. Currently we don’t have a way to adjust column size. If this can be taken up as future request it will be very helpful for the customer . Sample Screenshot.
It would be great to have the ability to preview participants prior to activating a JO program. Presently, a new version requires inputting fields from scratch. As there are often only small changes, it would be great to have the ability to clone events. I would like to be able to archive but not delete events. The goal of archival would be to limit what options appear in JO without completely removing them from the system. Enhancements to the documentation would be great. Particularly, better call-outs on what has to be customized for SFDC APEX triggers. Also, my developer asked if Salesforce should expect a response back which we’ve learned that the answer is no.
Hi all, We have new idea. It is a popular scenario: A customer writes a comment, then he clicks any external link (accidentally) and leave the comment page. In PHP BB engines, if he click "Back" his text stays cached in the editor. Also it was cached by the "Preview" function. So even if you forgot to post your reply, you had your text there after coming back. In Insided, this accident leads to empty editor, and a customer has to write his text anew. Can you add this "caching" option to keep text in editor even if a member accidentally left a page?
Currently when working with success plan objectives you can only update the start date of an objective via the Gantt chart view. It should also be possible to update via; Objective tab (list view)Objective detailsAs well as when creating an objective.
I would like a way for a non-anonymous survey URL to be generated for a contact instead of having to send by JO or the Send Email from CTA functionality. The reason for this is that we have some clients with such strict email security (due to life sciences industry) that no emails from Gainsight will go through (either JO or email assist). If we had a way to generate a URL for a contact, a CSM could pull the URL and paste into an email directly in their business email.
The “Segments” list view doesn’t give you all the high-level information you need to be confident in your Segment.Like other List View areas of the product, we’re able to add additional columns to show more information about our list of elements on one screen. For Segments, we should also be able to see from List View:Next Scheduled Run Created by Created onMy main issue is with not seeing Next Scheduled Run. Even though there is a “Status” for Segments, I don’t see anywhere where I can change that Status. My only way to de-activate a Segment is to turn of the schedule, and I can’t see from List View which Segments have the Schedule turned off vs turned on. I have to click into each segment to get this information.
When using the https://api2-us-west-2.insided.com/user/register API to create a user, you have to enter a password. When doing this and using a randomly generated password, it would be nice if the end user went through a workflow when logging in where they were forced to change the password before entering the community.
A number of my CSMs will spend time creating manual CTAs for situation/scenarios that turn out to be pretty common among the team, so I end up creating a playbook right from that CTA but it is a manual process. It would be helpful if I could just create the playbook automatically from the CTA and then assign the appropriate resource and time frames.
Hi Team, Today when we send emails using JO, We get an option to either mark cc or copy the email to internal team. We have a scenario where we need to do both at the same time. To one team we want to cc and other team either bcc or copy. This capability is not there currently on the system. Please include this in your product enhancement request. Due to personalized mails capability the team which we are setting up as sender is not able to receive the copy of the email as another team is marked cc.Another constraint is of cc option capped to maximum 3 members. In our organization multiple teams are involved in driving one program and in touch with customers. We are not able to include and keep all teams informed. The above constraint adds more as the deterrent. Please look into this idea/ enhancements that will contribute in smooth operations of our digital programs as our internal stakeholders play key role for all our digital programs. thanksCharu
Hi Team,With the current design to generate the curl for the gainsight bulk api job, we are generating a command which is only suitable for mac ( terminal). However ,we do have clients who use windows ( command prompt ) and they need to make some minor changes to run the command successfully. It would be great , if we can enhance the functionality to show curl commands for both windows and mac which we can directly take and run in the respective machines.
This idea was generated when it became clear that the meta descriptions of topics are automatically populated by Insided, without edit access, and aren’t accurate. Thread here: Meta title and meta description We’re using an analytics tool called Conductor, which displays what Google sees as headers, H2s, H3 etc. Well some of the info Google is getting from our page’s source code isn’t great. Example here: If we can’t change meta descriptions for topics, is there any way for Insided to improve this from a platform point of view?
How odd is it that displaying the Company Logo effectively was a big part of the Horizon 360, but we still cannot map SFDC Account Logos to the GS Company Logo via connectors? SFDC has a whole motion to populate these automatically from the website. Let’s use this to effectively get them into GS and enrich our 360s!
Hello Team, What do you think about letting the users to have multiple levels of Row groupings in reports. I understand that the users could use the filters to drill down into one single category. But, letting the users to have multiple levels of row grouping will allow the users to read the data points easily and compare it with other records. For Example, If I am building a report on Survey responses, I would be like to have the report grouped by Company, then by Respondents, then by the Survey and then by the Response Date. This will allow the users to read the data effectively.
When I create a Dropdown List field and allow it to be editable on the C360, it includes an additional option not available in the Dropdown List values: None. I intentionally created this field so that it will always default to “NOT IN SCOPE” when new records are created, because I don’t ever want it to be null - it should always show one of two values: “IN SCOPE” and “NOT IN SCOPE” But there appears to be no way for me to force the field to only allow those two options when it’s manually edited. I have to create a clunky work around for this by creating a rule (not a real-time rule, mind you, because RTR can’t update the Company object directly) that will look for any records where this field is NULL and set it accordingly. Product gaps, like what this appears to be, create additional administrative (and resource) overhead.
Posting on behalf of a customer:It would be great to have an option to add/set a delay to an engagement so that it shows up on a specific URL but waits for the user to have been in the application for at least X minutes before it is displayed.
We are using Gainsight NXT. And working in an Enterprise organization, with complex customer relationships and multiple product offerings, we need a better way to limit what Gainsight users can see and do in the platform. For example, we would like CSMs to be able to view all customers/relationships, but they should only be able to edit the accounts that they are assigned to.Another example would be to restrict edit access to certain fields, either on the Company object, the Relationship object, or a custom Low-Volume object.I have heard that field-level security is in the mid-term roadmap, per this post by Preethi George:Today, some of this can be controlled by virtue of 360 layouts, and data permissions, but that does not scale, and has its own limitations.
When we use the API Rule to add an objective CTA under an existing success plan, the CTA Playbook under Relationship level with name containing the special characters (“:”) or spaces failed (see below error) to create the CTA. However the rule succeeds to create CTA if we build the same playbook (with special characters) under Global Level. Error code: "COCKPIT_7516” : Invalid playbook nameWith this limitation, we needed to recreate all the playbooks and remap the templates to Global one’s. We need to have the API function in the same way across all the levels.
Our business intelligence team would like a way to refresh scorecard history in the event that there is an issue with scorecards. We had a case where scores were incorrectly calculated for a week, and the historical scores show a dip in the score when there should not have been one. The trouble lies in any measure group that has a Null score. I am not really able to account for all of the possible null values in rules engine, so the only option I would have to load to scorecard history is to calculate the values outside of Gainsight. I would like to be able to automate this, but can’t think of a way to do so. I am picturing an action that is much more like the load to scorecard action, where the weightage is automatically calculated and accounts for null values. Another idea would be to recalculate the group scores based on weightage if I load new measure scores to the scorecard history object.
For templates that are marked for Email Assist or Gainsight plugin, file size attachment limits should be increased. Currently, I’m limited to 2MB attachments on a template, but Email Assist is only limited to 20MB.I have a playbook with a template and a PPT deck to be attached, which I’ve compressed to only 6MB but I am not able to add it to the template. instead, a user is going to have to manually add the exact same file themselves each time they need to send this email. I understand the limitation if sending one to many through JO but this limitation should not apply to individual sends the users are managing through EA or the plugin.
So happy that Horizon Analytics now allows you to select which field you would like to sort on, the order and where to put nulls, HOWEVER would really love to be able to sort on MORE than 1 field. For example, we have a report that stores monthly data for each account. I had to pick between sorting on month (and getting accounts in random/different order for each month) or on account name (and getting months in random/different order for each account).Ideally I could sort by multiple columns and indicate sort first by month desc, then sort by account name asc.
Common use case: split a string. Let’s say I want to infer the Last Name and Name of my customer, Doe John Joseph (or at least an approximation of it, he can have multiple last names).I could do1: Transform → Left of Name of Customer, using the space as string to match2: Transform → Length of that field, to get the position (one left) of the substring I need3: Transform → If the Position was a dynamic variable like a numeric field instead of a fixed number, I could use my value 2 to do that. And we are done! (well, a trim will be needed but you get the gist...)Example: using a numeric field as inputThis is how simple is to achieve the same in Sheets with even extra steps like not nesting the find within the left (by the way, the find fx would be something great to have). Honestly, if you ask me how I would do this same split to do this and using it in Gainsight… I think I would go the route of a rule/dd, exporting the GSID and the name to the S3 bucket. Work it like this in Sheets/Excel and re-ingest via S3 again... And this will take me less time than trying to do the same with GS alone. Here we have several opportunities for improvement, from awesome to awesomer:· Use another field as a variable· Use a combination of a field plus a fixed value· Nesting formulas
