This must be a repeat but I couldn’t find another post about this with some cursory searching. Currently, when adding a filter on a report (of a picklist field) on an MDA object to exclude records containing certain picklist values, that filter ALSO excludes records where that field is empty. To get the data that is actually there, one has to add an additional "OR field_name = null" for that same field as well. There are likely a few variations of this problem, but this is the gist of it. It is not intuitive, explained anywhere in documentation (or maybe I’ve missed it?), and is hard to troubleshoot unless you’re looking for it already.
Feedback from a CSM on filling in the fields on the front page of the Success plans. Doesn't like that you have to click the check to save the changes. There have been several instances where's she's entered a lot of info, and then, forgot to check the check to save and had to add it all again. Would be great for it to auto-save while you are typing versus having to check the check. Or give you a reminder that you need to save.
Does anyone know of or have suggestions for simple project management time tracking solutions that integrate with Gainsight/Salesforce? Ideally we'd have a button associated with each CTA/task that starts and stops a timer then loads the time to a field in that CTA/task. I understand that is a bit of a pipedream, but the closer we can get to it the better. Thanks!
Hello Dear community,Me (and esp. our users) find the “Subscribe” button a bit confusing.at first sight, it’s hard to tell whether or not you are subscribed and it’s not really intuitive.I think there are better solutions: e.g. most websites have the “Subscribe” button, then I click it, and it turns to “Unsubscribe”. this is the view when I’m not subscribed this is the view when I’m subscribedThe way things are right now, If I am subscribed (but anaware) and want to subscribe to this post, I would click on the “subscribe” button, but that would actually UNSUBSCRIBE me Does anybody have a workaround or any solution or advice for this? Hope it’s not too confusing, the way I described it! Cheers:)
For regular articles it is possible to quote people: I would also like to have this option in Ideation.
I’m sure there’s a post out there somewhere asking for this already, but a quick search didn’t yield it.Admins need the ability to purge data from any object without relying on Gainsight support. For example, we just switched to a new Scorecard. We have history to populate, but cannot because within the Account Scorecard History table each customer can only have ONE scorecard record in the history table per snapshot date and if there are already records for the PREVIOUS scorecard it will block loading history for the NEW scorecard. So in order to load for the new history, I have to have the old scorecard data purged - which I cannot do so I’m at the mercy of Gainsight Support (and the inherent delays that come with that).I submitted a request two days ago to have the data purged, and I am told it will be Monday before this can happen. We have MBOs dependent on scorecard history tracking, and right now our leaders are flying blind. But really why should Admins have to rely on Support to purge data?
Hi Team, Posting this request on behalf of customer. In NXT edition say for instance if we used SFDC custom object named XYZ as linked object for a CTA and this object has dependent picklists where in controller field selection controls the values of dependent picklist , loses its functionality in detail view layout when this object is used as linked object.Because of this, end user ends up seeing all the available picklist values of the field instead of controller based dependent values making the customer lose the SFDC functionality in Gainsight. This is a genuine use case and hope to see this enhancement in the product soon. Regards,Jagadeesh
In a Zap I’ve set up to notify a Slack channel (#product-feedback) when new Idea posts are created, I’d like to be able to include the Product Area field in the message but cannot currently.
It will be important for us to have the ability to set featured events in the community categories as it can be done right now for groups.Actual behaviour:In a Community category you are able to present featured topics using the tag “featured_subforum”, and you can feature up to 3 of them. You are not able to do the same for an event, you can only choose topics You are not able to present topics or events in a Parent CategoryDesired behaviour:I would like to have the ability to select featured topics and featured events to present in the top of a community category I would like to have the ability to select featured topics and featured events to present in the top of parent categoryThe goal is to provide visibility to those events related to specific categories.Cheers,
I’m proactively building out some reporting and dashboards for CTAs that we are getting ready to launch, but since there’s no data, I can’t yet configure the drilldowns yet. Would love to be able to go ahead and configure that as well instead of having to remember to go back in and do that later.
When I perform a test run of a rule, the Execution Log includes all records for the Rule Results and the results of any corresponding actions. It would be incredibly helpful for troubleshooting purposes if this information was included in live rule runs - whether rule Succeeded or Partially Succeeded. It seems like I've seen a similar idea posted somewhere but I cannot seem to locate it.
As an InSided admin, I’d like to be able to filter the ‘Ideas’ content grid by # of votes so that I can create a saved view showing me all ideas that have greater than x votes. We plan on creating an SLA for ideas with over a certain number of votes, this will allow us to do this more easily. Today, you can filter this grid by asc/desc votes. This is helpful, but I’d prefer to filter out anything with less than x votes so that I can also easily see the total number of ideas in the grid that match this criteria.
This came up specifically regarding the Activity Associated Records - All object, but it is likely applicable for any object where you can resolve the whoid/whatid. With ID resolution, you can select what object a lookup resolves to on a report. This impacts what fields and data you have available on that report. In this example, we’ll look at the aforementioned object, with a report resolved to “Call to Action”. It would look something like this: The problem arises when you try and add this report to a global filter (even if the filter object is on something else, say, Call to Action). What happens, is the ID resolution defaults to company with no way to change it: If you’re reporting on company, good for you. If not, you’re out of luck. The ask here isn’t for Gainsight to try and resolve everything automatically here, but there should be some level of honoring what the report is built of off, or at the very least allow the admin to select the resolution so they can match it to the report. This would allow the use of this object on a dashboard with global filters.
Have a toggle on each event page module to show only when someone has clicked “Attend.”Example: For the “Add to Calendar” function, I only want this to be shown to people who have actually RSVP’d to an event.
We would like to be able to pull a report to see which email templates are being used as email assist tasks within playbooks. I got as far as filtering for "Email" playbook tasks and including the playbook name, but I am still missing the info on which email template in particular is used. Is this possible?
Hello! As far as I can tell, the filtering in the Rules admin area only allows you to get as specific as “Action = Set Score 2.0”. It would be super if we could get the ability to add an additional filter criteria for which scorecard or measure(s) the Set Score action is impacting. Customers who use multiple scorecards would be able to filter their rules specifically enough to get ONLY those rules impacting the desired scorecard, which saves a lot of time if you haven’t remembered to include the scorecard name in the rule names.
As an Admin, when reviewing and presenting the results of a rule (especially scorecards and complex ones) it would be IMMENSELY helpful to see the “Description” value to the right of the Action name and to the left of the Status field. This way I can quickly ascertain which action needs some “love” and which do not without extra clicks back to the Action Screen. Who’s with me???
Hi Team, One of my customer wanted to have licenses view in Gainsight UI that should show Number of Licenses left over for us. In today’s world, users will have to reach out to SF Admins to get this Number. Currently, July’2020 release gives us the names of the users and how many licenses have been consumed. Best, Hardik
Hi,is there a way to @ mention all in a thread? We don’t want to have to manually tag a lot of users. Something like the @here or @channel in slack?TIA
A URL that opens the Create Topic dialog with a specific topic type pre-selected, rather than just the default. Use cases: creating quick links (either in text hyperlinks, wdigets, or buttons) with the correct Topic type selectedIdea Conversation Question (although this seems to be the default now)
Hi Team, We came across a scenario where our data integration team was asked to develop a report on how much of record counts and dollar impact been matched per customer record on historical and incremental loads. We then found, since SAML enabled it was not a easy approach write backend python wrapper codes to get into the logs of rules engine and figure out the numbers after scheduled load executed. In understanding itself its too complex in nature, however as Gainsight is one source of CSMs demanding every bytes of data collects millions of engagement to the truth of data. We need a secondary login solution for SAML system that overrides SAML but with login credentials super admins to allow successful login. Ask here is, if login URL for Gainsight made dual will be more powerful to super admins. For SAML logins url could be http://cloud.gainsight.com/For SAML bypass using login credentials, URL could be http://cloud.gainsight.com/noredirect There is another use case here where if there found to be SAML maintenance downtime on a weekend but Gainsight super admins wanted to move configs on same day will fail. Can we have two way login option for SAML enabled Gainsight logins sooner the future? Can opt for Multi factor authentication generated with PW entry as additional security as any other system does. Thoughts?
When adding tokens to Email templates via Cockpit, sure would be great if the system didn’t allow you to select fields that are inappropriate. Green = Good, Red = Bad Per docs there is a limitation that prevents you from using the Person ID path (even though when you create a report using the Person ID path it resolves the name) and the “walk around” is to make sure you don’t select the Person ID path. It is not clear why this shows up as two options via Person → and via Person ID → but if the wrong one is inadvertently selected it wreaks havoc for end users. Would be awesome if the system didn’t offer up an erroneous option in the first place.
Prior to Horizon Analytics, previewing entities like Entitlements and Opportunities from the C360 would open up in a new tab. Now it opens in the same tab without the ability to go click backwards in the browser to the previous page. In fact - ANYwhere you click and it opens a within the same tab, you cannot go back to the previous screen. Prior to HA, we could also copy the name of a customer from a Scorecard Mass Edit report….now right clicking on the name results in opening the C360. Please restore the 1. “new tab” and 2. Copy/Paste functionalities asap as this is creating frustration to our end users and reducing their efficiency.
