It would be great to have an option where product teams can display their product roadmaps and users within community can vote/ share feedback and the product teams can also prioritize and work on their roadmap plans with some strategic user feedback and direction.
Enable vidyard in the media function. Allow for video uploads the same way image uploads are available, so users can upload media directly v. link to YouTube, etc.
The workflow around checking flagged posts seems unnecessarily complex and is not streamlined at all. Maybe I’m missing something, in which case I’d love for someone else to share their better workflow with me (though if it involves email I’m not interested ). What I want to be able to do: From the content tab, clicked ‘Flagged’ to see all the flagged posts. Click into one and see the post and the reason someone flagged it Take whatever action is needed: edit, delete, mark as spam, remove the flag etc. Ideally also respond to the person who flagged it if appropriate to let them know that we heard them and took action. Go back to the list of flagged posts to check the next one What I’m currently doing: Starting from the ‘Reported Posts’ Forum because that’s the only way to see what reason someone gave for flagging the post Clicking into a report and reading the reason Clicking the link to view the topic in a new tab Clicking the ‘Control’ button to view the topic in control Taking appropriate action and removing the flag If it’s spam, going back to the main content tab and searching for the title of the post because you can only mark as spam from the topic list, not from within the topic Closing the 2 extra tabs I opened and going back to the post with the reason in it and ‘closing’ the thread so I know it’s been reviewed Going back to the reported posts forum to check the next one
Currently in Control, the Public Tags page allows you to select multiple tags using the checkbox. However, you then can’t complete any bulk actions on the tags you’ve selected. So if I want to delete all tags, I have do that individually rather than applying that action to all the tags I’ve selected:
I don’t see a way to mark a topic as spam when I’m viewing it in the control environment (under Moderate Topic). I have the option to ‘trash topic’ – but I imagine this doesn’t help teach the spam filter to do its job better. In order to mark a topic as spam, I have to leave this page and return to the Overview screen. Then I have to tick the box next to the topic, then scroll all the way down the page, then click “More” then choose “Mark as Spam.” It would be really helpful to have this option listed under the “More options” menu.I want to mark this as spam but can’t do it from this page view
As a community manager, I'm reading all new posts every day. Some conversation threads have many replies, such as our "Introduce yourself to the community" thread (~160 replies). For this and for all other threads, I always want to see the newest replies because I need to review what has been posted in the past 24 hours or so. As such, I would like the option of setting up my control environment so that "Newest first" is the default for sorting replies. With long threads, it takes time for the replies to load after clicking the "Newest first" button. @Yoeri @daniel.boon
In the Q&A board and in the ideation module, we use the backend across teams to give the best possible answer to our custumers. We are currently using the team notes field and put our name and the date in it in order to be able to understand a chronological sequence. It would be great if there could be some kind of chat for each topic in the backend.
Now that we have “premoderation” available, it’s time to further develop it In our community we see customers giving out PII data quite often. They might even title their topic “Joe Average, phone number xx, customer number xxx” etc. You get the idea, right? I would like to be able to determine premoderation rules by which we could prevent people from publishing their PII data. And by rules I mean the ability to determine a rule that “all topics and replys with 8-digit number be sent to premoderation”, “all topics and replys with serial numbers be sent to premoderation”. This would be something community managers would be able to define themselves, as all companies and countries have different types of phone numbers / personal id’s etc. And they might consist of numbers, letters and special characters. Sound good?
Hi everyone,That would be great to have a possibility to subscribe to Ideas page and get notifications on new ideas published. We can’t get lots of engagement if there’s no subscription option...otherwise it means that we expect users to randomly check this page (hoping they will do that) which isn’t a good experience. On another note - I would love to get subscribed to inSided Ideas module too Thoughts?
I love that InSided added in the ability to Save as Draft for Articles, but not all of the content we create from our internal teams should fall under the Articles category. For instance, we have events that our Marketing team hosts where we would like to create a continued conversation thread for - these topics should fall under “Conversations” instead of Articles. Having these types of posts set up and saved as drafts ahead of time will:allow our teams to work more efficiently, so that we don’t have to spend time hustling post-event to get a conversation thread going give us a link to use in advance, so that we can queue up our post-event thank you emails to customers that attend, and link them back into the Community allows us to quickly pop into that post and embed our video from the event before we post the conversation topicIn this case, I think the ability to do this should either be anyone in Moderators/Community Manager, or anyone in the Employee User group (I’m sure that is more complicated though since they don’t all have access to the back end). This also just helps to build overall engagement in our community, something we are trying to focus heavily on this quarter. Thanks team! -Cass.
Ideas can have different ideation status that we can define in Control. At least one status in every ideation process is “closed” (or something like that, e.g. “duplicate”), meaning, that an idea - in one way or another - will not be further pursued. That’s why we propose an option to disable voting for any given ideation status. This way users can’t vote for ideas with this status anymore. If voting stays enabled, even though an idea is “closed”, it can cause user frustration and can also put unnecessary pressure and additional work on the community team when “closed” ideas still get votes.
Our Help Center has been updated constantly, and sometimes bigger edits are needed. In that case, we’d rather unpublish the article until it’s ready to go live again.
I use the same format for specific types of article posts I make on a regular basis. For example:promoting a webinar sharing our course launch list sharing the course of the week.Right now, I’ve created templates for these scenarios and saved them as article drafts. When I open a template, I would like to have an option to ‘copy’ the draft, and then work from that copy to create the new post, while preserving the template. As it is now, I have to open two tabs side by side and copy and paste back and forth between the two – not just the body text, but the subject, the tags, the label, etc.It would save me a lot of time if I could just click “copy” and work from that new draft while keeping the template intact.
For our company, we have dozens of different Product Managers who might want to make Product Announcements. Having the ability to assign that right to a selected User Role would be very helpful.
There are pre-set moderator tags in Insided, but currently you cannot delete them from Control. Since our team is setting up a Zap between our Insided instance and Intercom, we need to have only one moderator tag so we needed to reach out to Insided’s support team and wait for them to delete the moderator tags manually for us before we can set up the Zap successfully. Having greater ability to control/manage/delete moderator tags would greatly improve our experience. Thank you!
Content sometimes needs to be reviewed after a set time. This can have several reasons: At the time of publishing a piece of content (article, comment) some information isn’t available yet but it is clear the information will be available on a certain date The piece of content is published using information that will be outdated on a certain date (e.g. announcements) The piece of content contains media (e.g. images, videos) that have limited usage rights (e.g. image rights are bought for one year, after that the license expires) other reasons In order to not miss any of these events and to always keep the content up to date, we propose a new function. We would like to be able to schedule a content review on any piece of content that is published in the community. This function includes options to set a date and time and a text field (and preferably also an option to assign it to a moderator/admin). At the given time, the assigned user (or every moderator/admin) gets a notification (e.g. email, private message, system message in the Control Panel) that alerts the user of the task and the URL. This way it will be easier to stay on top of keeping content up to date, no matter if it is regarding updated information, outdated information, expired licenses or for other reasons.
Our end users have always made use of the ‘delete button’ on their posts (answers/questions/replies etc). Would love to continue to have that functionality.
Having the ability to save article drafts and check article previews greatly improves the editorial process. But unfortunately not all functions an article can have are included in the article preview. We propose that polls also become part of the article preview so an editor can check it under “real life conditions” before publishing it. Especially when articles need to be approved by outside stakeholders (who don’t have access to the Control Panel), a missing poll blocks us from having a simple and straightforward approval process. The same - but with a lot less priority - goes for attachments.
We would like to be able to split topics and ideas -on behalf of our customers- into separate ideas and topics. It often happens that customers share multiple questions/ideas in one topic/ idea. Now we have to ask them to create a new topic/idea for each question/idea.Customers find this not customer-friendly and therefore often ask us if we want to do this for them. At the moment we can only split these topics by creating new topics/ideas and copy pasting customers input into these new topics/ideas. As a consequence, the new topics/ ideas are in our name and that is ofcourse not desirable. Are there more customers who recognize this challenge?
Every so often a new timezone value pops up in SFDC and causes the Company Person sync job to fail. Every time this requires a ticket to be submitted to Gainsight support. Instead, having a job that syncs valid timezones would eliminate this headache. As this is a system dropdown list it cannot be managed by admins.
