I have users that are interested in seeing the actual users/ sessions that are represented in the sessions by country widget, and even when I reproduce as a query builder report there is no way to get the data that is represented in the aggregates - for UI users. Or a way to create a report that shows that data at all. This capacity for all reports seems like a very simple feature that is common to many other analytics tools, we previously used Heap and had this function. It would be helpful to have this enabled. I saw some other posts similar to this, but they were from years ago so making a new feature request to put it back up in the pile.
It would be nice to have a drilldown capability for dashboard widgets or any report in PX analytics.
I’d very much like to be able to export the user dashboard into a Google Sheet so that I can segment our highly engaged members there, and also so we have a record to keep. Currently the export option allows for single action analytics only (when choosing export types). As there already exists a user dashboard showing the member name, rank, posts, topics etc etc at /analyticsV2/members > view more it shouldn’t be too hard to allow us to export this data directly from this page, rather than via the ‘Export’ option
Similar to saved views for Content moderation, where you can save the view with filters applied, it’d be really nice to have this for the filterable analytics dashboards.
While troubleshooting a question from one of our CSMs, Gainsight Support informed us that users cannot currently bulk associate CTAs of different types (i.e. 3 risk, 2 lifecycle & 2 renewal) to a Success Plan at the same time.Doing so errors out and forces the end user to essentially do it three times: Bulk assign all necessary risk CTAs Bulk assign all necessary lifecycle CTAs Bulk assign all necessary renewal CTAsNot only does this add unnecssary clicks, but it’s not apparent that this is a limitation in support articles or the UI. To make it easier for day to day usage, we’d love to see functionality added to bulk assign CTAs of any type at the same time.
Related to this post - we have several multi-select picklists that we’d like to be able to sync over to Staircase from Gainsight, and it appears that’s not possible today.2 examples:We have a role field that’s a multi-select in Gainsight that we would like to be able to use in Staircase as well. Currently, we have to do some fancy rules engineering to prioritize roles and use a single select picklist instead. We use Account Programs in SFDC and sync them over to Gainsight in a custom object related to Company. Since Staircase can’t see Related Objects, we don’t have a good way to pull over if a customer is included in an Account Program. A customer can be in multiple Account Programs, and we’d like to be able to create a multi-select picklist of all active programs on Company and sync that over so that we could filter the Executive Dashboard on a specific program to determine the impact and sentiment as well as how much communication it’s generating. As a workaround, I could make a single select, but then I’d have to do some prioritization of programs to determine which one to include OR I could just add a boolean checkbox for the key programs we want to be able to filter on, but then, I’ll have to add multiple fields.
Would love the ability to see positive/negative/neutral sentiment in our community (specifically for Gainsight CC to be clear) to filter down to things like top users that are positive about X. Right now, we can only filter by activity amongst other things but a highly engaged user does not always mean a very positive user. Having this ability to track sentiment would also help us catch negative comments faster that need addressing.
Hello, I need view count added to post data export so I can analyze the impact of content from both the Topic and Post tables.
We would like to see the Salesforce Integration be able to create net new contacts in SFDC along with the Community Member object and associated activity as opposed to just looking for contacts that already exist in SFDC. As we look at what reporting we’ll want to pull in SFDC down the road, the lack of this is creating a lot of work for our teams to come up with a custom solution, which we must then support.
Trading Technologies team has requested for following enhancement request on advanced JO-They need to ensure that all members of their Service team can easily send mass communications. The current process is non-intuitive and too complex for widespread adoption (currently requiring CSV upload, column mapping, sync, filter, selection across pages, and finally Publish). To simplify this, they need the following:1. Simplicity of Use for Emergency Communication- 1a. CSV upload should not require column mapping, provided we use gainsight predefined column names.- 1b. A new button to access the email template directly from the "Send Email" screen. You already have a setting button, next to the template.- 1c. A new single button on the "Send Email" screen to execute the communication once the CSV is uploaded (similar to the existing "Republish Now" function); And, if no new CSV was uploaded, the last list of recipients is re-used automatically 2. One Email per Client CompanyThey require the ability to send one email per client company, with all recipients for that company included in the "To" field. This is supported in the simpler model but not the complex one. They also need to leverage the existing feature that allows the client company name to be a variable in the subject line.
When a user enters a search query and is taken to the search results page, the AI Smart Assistant generates a summary answer at the top of the page and also provides links to the topics that it used as sources for its response. However, when a user applies filters to the search results on the page, the Smart Assistant summary does not update, nor does the sources that it displays, despite the body of knowledge available having been reduced. This introduces inaccuracy into the Smart Assistant’s summary, as well as a missed opportunity for the Smart Assistant to truly offer relevant information based on user input. We would like to see functionality added to the search results page so that the action of applying filters to search results triggers a refresh of the Smart Assistant, allowing it to recalculate its response based on the available content, and update its sources. As an example, in our knowledge base we use tags to identify which product is relevant to a specific topic. These tags can be applied as filters on the search results page. This allows a user to filter the results to only the product that is relevant to their question or subscription. But after filtering out topics that are not relevant to their query, the smart assistant will still display it’s outdated (and incorrect) summary and still offer links to source topics that the user has already filtered out. Please consider this enhancement as a way to ensure to accuracy on the search results page, build trust in the Smart Assistant’s ability to summarize content, expand the Smart Assistant’s usefulness, and increase opportunities to help users find the answers that they need.
We all know Community is changing. It has been for a while now. And Support-style communities don’t cut it anymore. We have to infuse much more into our spaces for people to care and engage. What would help? Image previews in posts - please and thank you. An example - we want to create a space for customers to show photos of their pets. Does it tie back to their job, or how they use our product in any way? No. That’s the point. But how the system is built, they’d have to open each post to see the photo of Rockie or Pepper. No one (or very few people) will do that. Just like in Instagram, or even LinkedIn, there needs to be a preview of the photo, so people can easily scroll and consume the images. We have a lot of use cases for this, but to my knowledge, it isn’t possible with Gainsight. If I’m wrong, please correct me!We have a number of ideas we’d like to bring to our community that we know would work, but we need this functionality in place. Anyone else agree? Thanks for the support. 🙂
This idea is to create a MDA table available in reporting and dashboards that will contain all external action calls along details of their execution.Today, external actions can be called from various places and can play a very important role in the overall solution. However, you can not easily get to this information for things like reporting on it which creates blind spots and risk. We have already been burned by a external action that was failing, but we didn’t know for a month. There is the history section in the external action that can get you some of this, but this is an admin view and doesn’t keep history that long. It is not realistic that an Admin would go in and look at all the calls daily in this view. There is also a table called "Program External API Logs" which has this data for external action calls from journeys, but not external actions called form other places.
S3 dataset tasks in rules are theoretically such an improvement over the legacy connector, but as I’m upgrading my org’s jobs from the legacy connector to S3 rules, I’m reminded of one major caveat to S3 dataset tasks: Date formatting. For some reason, Gainsight requires the exact date format not only for each individual date or datetime field but for the overall job as well. This makes no sense. In the legacy connector, you don’t have to specify for either fields or the overall job, which makes date formatting 100x easier. The data just has to be in one of the numerous acceptable date or datetime formats, and voila, it gets ingested as long as the schema is properly labeled as either date or datetime. In S3 rules though, if one little tiny thing is off with the date/datetime format of a field, it fails every record affected with some hard-to-parse error message. Then it’s back to the drawing board to carefully try another date/datetime format in the CSV, re-upload to S3 and hit run on the rule yet again. Rinse and repeat (usually more times than I care to admit). Can we please consider simplifying this?
Badges seem to display on user profiles based on the order in which they were received. Communities (like mine) with robust badge gamification may want to set a hierarchy to badges, so that the most valuable/prestigious are listed first on a profile. Use cases: Showing most prestigious badges first (before the cutoff) on the leaderboard Manually applied badges that get added “out of order”For example, if a community has an onboarding badge, it’s likely to be the first badge earned by many users. Then, if a user becomes a super user with many more badges, the fact that they completed onboarding is the least valuable context in their badges. Visually, it’d be better to have that listed last. This would also likely visually diversify and add contextual value the leaderboard, with top users having different mixes of elusive badges listed first rather than the 5 easiest and then the +[#] roll up. Potential solution: Control: Drag and drop hierarchy that works similar to ranks Front end: Badges display in order of hierarchy, not order awarded (Note: I understand that badges and ranks are tools to accomplish two different gamification outcomes. However, the nature of gamifying badges will naturally make some badges of higher value than others. I’m not suggesting to redo or blur the line with rank, but rather set an information architecture for the badges that makes their use more effective/valuable)
The only way to export all the active playbooks and tasks is to assign them to CTA (they must be “in use” prior to exporting). Need a way to create a report or some kind of export of all the playbooks and their associated tasks without having to assign to a CTA. Client Reason: When we review playbooks and tasks, we like to run the task list by exec. A spreadsheet is much easier to review then sitting side by side going through the list in GS. Partner (Implementation) Reason: When doing a fresh implementation we import playbooks from Sightline Vault as a starting point. Would love the ability to send a spreadsheet to the client for them to discuss which steps are valid for them and which ones need updating.
For each chart in one of the Analytics Dashboards, it’d be great to have an export/download button that exports the summary data you’re seeing. The dashboard is already aggregating metrics for you and some of these metrics aren’t available to be recreated via other exports (for example, Unique Visitors and Page Views in the Audience Dashboard). If the platform is rending a chart based on summary data, it’d be great to export that summary data as a helpful data set to analyze. My use case that inspired the idea: Compare visitor data to visit data (via the SFDC dashboard). We switched our community to Public visibility last week. As such, the Audience dashboard is now very relevant to us. Whereas, previously the SFDC integration gave us comprehensive visit data based on the activities it feeds through. Now that people can visit and engage with some aspects of the community while still logged-out, our logged-in visit data (SFDC) will be less comprehensive.I’d love to compare the two data sets (audience dashboard metrics and logged-in visit metrics) to show different levels of the engagement funnel (logged out visits, logged in visits, and so on) over time. But to do that, I’d need easy access to the data in the Audience dashboard; something I can download and build into other tables, charts, and visualizations. And, in general, allowing for the export of the summary data of any chart would be amazing. I find that the analytics dashboards often have what I need, but not in the format I need it in. The other data exports either don’t have have what I need or require me to essentially recreate what the dashboards show on my own. I’d love to have quick access to the summary data so I can leverage these analytics within the context of other reporting I do.
