Why are we not able to delete a dropdown value we create that has no dependencies and no data associated with it?Here’s a user story:Admin creates a new dropdown category with values Business stakeholders review values, and want to simplify before launch, so they recommend cutting down number of values Admin cannot delete the dropdown values after they click “Add Value” Admin must delete the entire category and start over againPlease give us the ability to delete a dropdown value that we add, whether we add it intentionally or by mistake.
I was in training with a CSM this morning, and she was trying to find an account based on a conversation she logged into Timeline. She remembered the exact combination of words; for privacy reasons, let’s say she searched for “renewal quote 1234”. The search returned every timeline entry where “1234”, “quote”, “quoted”, “renewal”, “renew” appeared. The only way to find the account without browsing through dozens of entries was via her admin (me), pulling a report and using the contain filter of the Notes Plain-Text field. Don’t get me wrong, the current functionality to get similar words is great, and sometimes that flexibility is needed. But, it will be more powerful if the advanced filter allowed text filtering options already available in Rules Engine and Report Builder, such as "contains" and "does not contain." Right now, only the “Notes” field appears, and nothing can be done there.
All my Superusers in the Deezer Community are requesting the feature/option to be able to edit the title of their posts/articles once they have been published as this is currently unavailable, you can only edit the text but not the title. It would be great if you enable this option/feature for them so they can EDIT the titles of their articles/post/topics once they have been published or in case they make a mistake on the title.
If a question has a best answer marked, that answer is shown at the end of the topic start message. Below that answer is a link that leads you straight to the actual reply. Would it be possible to get the same feature on pinned replies in conversations?
If I have collapsed the view of Sections and Categories to focus on just one, when I make edits to that visible Section (adding or editing a sub-Section or Category, for example), when the list re-loads, it should not re-expand everything. This is maddening.
I’d like articles within a category to be sorted in a logical order, by the title honoring standard alpha-numeric sorting. Should be able to select this on a Category level.
Similar to how we can search for Accounts using the search window, is there a way to search for Users/Contacts by typing there name in? Currently, the search option only allows for searching by Account name. However, for our Enterprise accounts, with users or contacts numbering in the hundreds per account, it would be much easier in some situations to search for the user directly. This would be similar to the search bar in Salesforce, that allows for Accounts or Users or Emails, etc. I couldn't find a quick way to set this up or if this was even possible?
This has to be a repost so if you find another similar one @anirbandutta feel free to merge, but I couldn’t find it. For Gainsight Home:- I have layout A assigned and my users have customized it.- I have now created layout B that I want everyone to use instead of layout A whether it has been customized or not.- So I assign them to layout B, and unassign and unpublish layout A.It seems that it is expected behavior that they still see their custom version of layout A and not the new layout B. Rather than forcing everyone to accept the new admin home, I would expect them to see the new layout B once they’ve been assigned to it and the original layout is unpublished. Having customizations persist across one layout until changes are accepted is one thing, but having it persist across multiple layouts largely defeats the point of having multiple layouts, and makes things harder to manage.
Would we be able to get the JO Schedule as a widget so we can add to our home screen / dashboards?
I don’t know if this is entirely dependent on the connector and each one needs an individual request, but can we please add Cascade Add/Delete to Connector job preparation? It would not only save time, but be much more consistent with the rest of the product where this already exists. In case it is per connector we need a request for, consider ServiceNow as one that needs it.These posts basically go into what I’m talking about, in addition to general Cascade Add:(don’t be fooled, the second one has been implemented)
It would be great to be able to surface the text analytics feature from surveys into another report form and then share on either a dashboard or Gainsight home.
Hello Team, It would be great if we could filter out all the rules that are scheduled for a specific cron expression. For instance say 2 hours. Also along with filtering could we have a rule chain that brings together the rules based on cron job. This would allow us to ensure they run in a specific order. Regards, Jahnavi
I have a feature request that will, if provided, make everyone’s monitoring and moderation process a lot easier:Currently the search in the Control Panel is limited to finding exact word matches. But it doesn't show fitting results when a search term is part of a word.Example:When I search for "number", I would also like to get results like "phonenumber" or "phone-number" etc. This is especially important as we're a german-speaking company and the german language is full of these compound words.German examples:Search term: "Konferenz"We want to get results like:"Telefonkonferenz", "Konferenzschaltung"Search term: "unterdrück"We want to get results like:"unterdrückt", "Unterdrückung", "Rufnummernunterdrückung"I'd be happy with one of the following outcomes:The search also includes part-words inSided provides us with operator/wildcard characters like "*" so we can do both - search for exact word matches but also search for part-words
According to ticket 355426, it is an intentional design in the system and a significant design change to identify records that are not updated in an update action. In this example, there are existing Relationship Person records that flow to the Update action and appear successful. However, gainsight has not inserted a Company Person record within the hierarchy and so they actually ignore the record. There is no way to identify which records are or are not updated in the Execution Log, they all appear successful. Please enhance Gainsight to reflect in the Execution Log, records failed that are not Updated.
AllI’ve recently hit an invisible limit in data designer: the 16mb payload size limit.Long story short:I had a decently sized data design pictured below, 24 tasks and trying to create 4 union tasks to bring my data set together(bringing it to 28 tasks - NOT MY LARGEST DESIGN). The 4th union (circled in red below, and at some point the 3rd one) refused to create itself with an unknown error message.Turned out to be that the payload size would have been over the limit of 16mb with my 4th union.YET there is NO indicator that we are approaching the feature limit anywhere in the UI and the error code is cryptic at best and helping no one: not the solution designer and not Gainsight who is getting tickets for things we could self-resolve. Enhancement request:We need a visual cue such as a progress bar, in query builder, data designer and rules engines showing us HOW FAR or HOW CLOSE from the product limitations showing both the current size of the payload (a figure, in bites ideally) and the progress towards the limit (the 16mb), ideally from green to red to show good and bad. Since tasks and field size in the payload varies and can’t be predicted, we need to see that live calculation and progress bar. Besides the need to avoid limitations, I’m certain it would help us optimize our designs, including those that don’t hit the limits but perhaps could be further optimized. And for those who want to know the end of the story:The culprit was trying to bring in the time zone of the recipient (required to send emails in the person’s time zone - first task highlighted in yellow) and the sender’s time zone (“users fetch”, highlighted in yellow, because our standard Outlook email signature features that info and we’re trying to mimic the signature for consistency).Picklists with a lot of values apparently increase the payload drastically, and time zone has 432 system values. After changing the sender time zone to a string (duplicate as string function, I could create the 4 union tasks BUT the design failed to run and error logs indicated this message: Payload document size is larger than maximum of 16793600. At that point, the error message was more helpful. So I needed the two fields but I was NOT ABLE to use both, including with the conversion to string (despite it working up to creating my last union). Using both apparently would require me to nest two designs together, and without proper chaining capabilities… what could possibly go wrong?
Hi Team,Currently in C360 and R360, the dependency picklist is only supported for single drop down lists. Hence, requesting you to provide support for Dependent Multi-picklist.
My example here is the Case object, which is used for integrating an external tool used for case management, into Gainsight. While it is great that it comes with some OOB fields, some of those cause problems. Namely, the already created dropdown fields. Consider the following:Once a picklist field is created, the dropdown list ‘category’ cannot be changed or removed. When the dropdown for Cases is created, a field and corresponding dropdown category is created and assigned to that field. Part of that dropdown category includes values that cannot be deactivated, or modified, in any way.Why does this matter? Because if you have no business use for those values, you cannot repurpose them. You cannot even deactivate them. You essentially need to create a new field, and a whole new category. Because some of these OOB fields are *required*, that means you have to dummy map to them anyways, then use the fields you actually want. This is enforced platform bloat and it is incomprehensible why it exists. Maybe you can submit a case for them to be removed, maybe it will happen, and maybe they’ll do it in 2-3 months. But is not something an admin shouldn’t be able to manage on their own. Very much related to this request as well:
As an admin of both Staircase and Gainsight, I want to be able to capture the FULL picture of platform usage by our users. Today I receive monthly usage numbers from our Staircase CSM, but it’s lacking the full picture. For example, it only tracks direct login usage of using Staircase directly. However most of our users are now using Staircase from within the Gainsight C360 embedded widget, so we’d like to be able to track this usage too.It could be added to the Gainsight360 usage reports as a quick fix, but ultimately I’d like access to the usage data within the Gainsight MDA for custom reporting needs.
We have another more extensive thread going on Rule Chain admin which has some very good suggestions, and I hope they’re implemented, but I have a far more basic ask this afternoon and I wanted to throw it up as it’s own post for consideration: put a search bar in the Rule Chain admin screen. Please. In a perfect world, I would not be in a situation where the list of rule chains was long enough that this would even come up - but here I am. I’ve provided an artful mockup as usual, see below…
It would be great if we can use Date data type in case expression in rules engines
The new update to Timeline allowing an entry to be logged to multiple CTAs and/or companies/relationships is great. One thing that is lacking is the ability to map a Timeline entry for a CTA for Company A AND Company B.You can add an entry multiple companies yes, but it goes to the general timeline. You can add an entry to multiple CTAs, but ONLY if they are associated with the same Company ID you’re creating the ‘original’ Timeline Entry on. I tried creating a Timeline entry for Company A and associating it with Company B, then going to the Timeline for Company B and adding a CTA for Company B, but I still only had the option to link it to a CTA for Company A.Forget going to the generic timeline (for all activity) as you need to select a Company or relationship first before you can add associated records. This would be useful if you carry out an activity (such as a call or update) that was held for a Parent Company, and you want to map it to a child company record as well, or even just multiple child companies. That’s just one example.
Starting to use scheduled reports as a means of alerting Managers of CSMs to the existence of records that require their attention under certain scenarios, however when there are no records that meet the criteria, the system still sends out the report as scheduled which distracts the managers for nothing.Really need to have a flag that gives option to suppress the send of the report if there are no records found.
