Add Start Points to engagement steps based on specific conditions, such as a URL match, an element on the page, user actions, or custom logic.By configuring Start Points for individual steps, the engagement can begin directly from any defined step, bypassing step 1, as long as the user is on a page where the specified URL or elements are present. This ensures a seamless experience by aligning the engagement with the user's current context.
Enhance the Button Actions in an engagement to connect to another engagement or a specific step within a different engagement. This will boost the adoption of other engagements and product adoption as well.
Trigger an engagement or set rules to activate it based on the presence or absence of a specific UI element. This approach is particularly useful for handling scenarios where users with varying permissions may lack access to certain features or pages. For example, if a user initiates a guide or engagement and is redirected to a page where they lack sufficient privileges, the guide might break due to missing elements. Instead of allowing this to happen, you can configure a step to detect whether the required UI element or URL is unavailable. If it is, we can add a step within the engagement to display a message informing the user that they do not have the necessary permissions to proceed. This prevents confusion and clarifies why the engagement cannot continue, ensuring a better user experience.
Similar to how Salesforce.com sends admins a notification when API call limits are reached, I would love to be notified when we are close to our limit related to the following: For a Customer, 100 event-triggered rule executions are allowed in a day (24-hour period). The 24-hour period is between 12 am in a day to the next 12 am UTC.https://support.gainsight.com/SFDC_Edition/Rules_Engine/Admin_Guides/Scheduling_Rules I did not know that I was constantly surpassing this limit until recently, and have just now found out, and am working on tightening up some rules and event calls. Had I been notified by the system, I could have avoided several internal CS Ops bug tickets and kept a smoother, more streamlined operation.
Sally is an incredibly useful tool for account information, however, it would be incredibly beneficial to get more individual Person usage information directly within Sally. Being able to ask Sally about an email and having it pull up that Contact’s record and information allows users to quickly identify key info like what account the person is linked to and other details. Currently, the Copilot Beta, is somewhat capable of this functionality, but with it being in the Beta stages, we are not encouraging all of our end users to utilize Copilot. Also, Sally within Slack is a far more convenient option for this particular use case.
It would be great if users could deselect specific Objectives when choosing a Success Plan template. This would allow better grouping of objectives that may or may not apply to every scenario and save users from having to go back and delete irrelevant objectives after they select the Template.
Hi There,I’m interested in seeing the functionality for temporary reassignment of Success plans, CTAs and Tasks within Gainsight. The hope for this is that when a CSM is OOO for a period of time (vacation, paternity/maternity leave, short-term disability, etc...) or has left the organization they or an admin would have the ability to “temporarily” reassign tasks, to another CSM through their profile settings, similar to many project management software capabilities. This temporary reassignment would help minimize slips of high priority Tasks/CTAs from slipping through the cracks as they wait for the individual CSM to manually check for them. This would also alleviate the stress of having to reorganize books of business’ immediately when a CSM will not be available for a longer period of time. And while I do know mass edit allows us to bulk re-assign it doesn’t fulfill the need for continuous reassignment of newly created items, and pooled models do not help our organization either as we work on a continuously changing buddy system.
I want to have the ability to have multiple tabs on a dashboard so i can structure content and make it more consumable. Overall - features - paths - funnels etc. vs scrolling down a single one especially since we dont have Rich Text components to break up a dashboard layout.
Use Case: We send surveys for customers to opt into offers when they sign up with us. Based on geo/location, we offer different perks to customers. In the survey description, we explain their offer terms (duration, amounts, types, etc) which differ by Geo. Problem: For every variation, we need to create a completely different survey. There is no way to put dynamic tokenized content into the description, only the survey question. We are expanding our use case to go from 4 different scenarios to 100+ so creating one survey per scenario isn’t scalable. Having the ability to put tokens from the company/relationship object, like an email, would be a huge help.
Not sure if this has been suggested before or if it’s feasible, but here is my ask: Would it be possible to add a feature in report settings where admins can enable a customized help text box to appear in report legends? My thought is that when the end user hovers over any of the legend options, a help text box would pop up, sharing a brief but clarifying description of what each legend option is (of course, filled in by the admin). Once the user hovers off of the legend option, the help text box would disappear. I picture this looking similar to the pop up that currently appears when hovering over any data points in a graphical report.I understand that end users should generally be aware of what each option in report legends are referring to, but sometimes busy CSMs may need a reminder, and that reminder could live right within Gainsight instead of them reaching out to an admin, co worker, or parsing through documentation for help.Apologies if this is a niche request, but figured I’d throw it out there in case others may find this useful!
I can’t believe this idea doesn’t exist yet, as I’m nearly positive this was discussed during the betas for Segments and Email Campaigns. Maybe that’s why… perhaps it was mentioned as on the road map. Anyway, here’s the idea. Current State:Segments can’t be used for automated emailsIdeal State: Trigger Email Campaigns based on SegmentsWhen a user fits the criteria for a segment, they are added to the segment New users in the segment are sent the automated email Use cases: Too many to list. Onboarding, engagement, you name it. Current workaround: Create the segment based on the criteria Create a custom role Create the automated email based on the custom role Add the custom role via bulk action on the segment Automated email is triggered on add to that user But that is very far from ideal, as it requires manual steps and can’t be fully automated. It blocks real-time use cases like this one I wanted to build: When a user creates their first topic, send them an email to provide helpful content, context, FAQs, etc.
We have various custom profile fields and it’s great to be able to filter on those. However, some of those fields are numeric (for example, the number of webinars a user has attended) and it would be great to be able to filter these more numerically. For example, I want to filter where WebinarCount > 100 but it’s only possible to do text-type searches.
Hello and happy 2025! Been a while… I’d like to raise a basic concept that I think would be a value-add in both Reports and Rules / Data Designer: being able to set a filter criteria for MAX or MIN of a Numeric or Date field. While we can perform these aggregations when other data is added to Group By (in Reports) it feels like the process for identifying the MAX or MIN or a particular field and then fetching that data in Rules could be simplified with something like this… The impact of a filter like this should be that only data from records reflecting the MAX of the filtered field would enter the fetch / report. If multiple records share the same value, which is identified as the MIN/MAX, it is reasonable that the results should contain all of those records. Doing this in Rules would eliminate the 3-step “Min/Max Loop” workaround, flattening the work to be done and eliminating what I think is a common stumbling point for newer admins. Doing this in Reports would give us a more flexible way to manipulate data without forcing us to use a particular aggregation in the Show Me / Group By config, allowing for more deliberate visualization and customization of the end result.
We’d like to be able to have our members send us screenshots via Private Messaging, but while it is theoretically possible, no one has been able to do it. Is there something to support with this?
I have a use case in which I would like to take the concept that is available in report builder with "Ranking" and apply that to a rule used to fire off (for example) CTA's. Example Use Case: I'd like to count up the number of support tickets for customers who don't own a support package over the last 6 months. I'd like to just Rank who the top 10 ticket generating customers are and then fire off a CTA to pitch them a support package. I could benchmark, but even if my benchmarks/averages are accurate I cannot control output for the rule. The ability to control how many CTA's are fired off from this rule (i.e only fire for top X customers) could be valuable in itself to ensure that admins are not creating too many CTA's for users to manage.
For the navigation drop-down menu, I want to suggest CSS allowing double lines or allowing greater width 330px + .Some of the names of the categories are longer, and they are not displayed as a whole when expanding the navigation menu, just the maximum length of the menu.
We’d like to be able to track product ideas and upvotes better, so that voters know when an idea status changes and when others are upvoting. I know that individuals can subscribe to an Idea. Does that allow them to see a status update? What about new upvotes? Are we asking too much? =) cc @Aman
It would be great to have a widget that can fetch answers from a Custom Role and you can simply place in the homepage. There are many third-party forums and solutions that offer something like this, especially in the gaming industry where a dev answer may benefit the whole community. I haven’t explored using the API but I don’t think there’s an easy way for us to do this now.
Automated email campaigns are designed to send over a long period of time. Available metrics provide insight on performance, but lack the context to measure how that performance may change over time. Adding date context to the tables when you expand the Email metrics would allow CMs to do this when needed. Expanded Open Rate metrics. Suggestion to add column with date contextMVP: Send date in each of these metrics Ideal: Date of the event for each metric (Delivery, Open, Click, Spam, Unsubscribe)
