For some of our groups we're inviting hundreds of users. We need a way to keep track of those that have not accepted that invitation so we can send reminders after x time.Currently, we need to maintain a separate document to manually register which users have accepted. Control can show active users, it should also be able to show invited ones.
Currently, when inviting a user to a group, the invite link is valid for 30 days. There is no way to change that time period. Which means that, if you remove a user from a group within that time frame, they are able to rejoin. We use groups for beta testing with requirements. If people no long match the requirements, we need to be able to boot people from a group without them being able to rejoin.
Status QuoCurrently there are two options to set the edit time for custom user roles (Control Panel -> General Settings -> Custom User Roles): 60 minutes Unlimited time (users can always edit their posts) 60 minutes is also the default value for the primary role "Registered Users". There are no further options to customize the edit time. All settings are global for all inSided customers. IssueIn our community we witness an increasing number of users who delete their own questions after they got an answer. Example: User A (Question): Why was my contract automatically renewed? User B (answers within an hour): Because you didn't cancel it. User A -> proceeds to edit own question (because it's within 60 minutes), deletes the question and writes something like "Nevermind". This content now doesn't have any value for other users with potentially the same question anymore. And as our community gets more and more vibrant, meaning it's getting more common for questions to be answered within minutes, more users delete own questions after they have been resolved. Additionally, it is frustrating for users who answer questions to see their answer devalued, because the context is now missing. IdeaI want to propose two improvements: 1.) Disable edit after reply (high priority)It will not be possible anymore to edit a question or discussion post after the first reply got posted - no matter if 60 minutes are up or not. This way users can still edit their own posts if they need to correct typos or information after they submitted them, but they cannot remove any context anymore after the conversation has started. 2.) Customizable edit time per community (mid priority)It will be possible for every inSided community to change the default edit time. This default edit time will (like before) used as: default edit time for primary role "Registered Users" one of two options for custom user roles As every community has a different level of activity and engagement, it will be possible to reflect that by decreasing or increasing the edit time. BenefitsWith these two improvements every community keeps control over the content keeps the content valuable for other users makes sure power users aren't demotivated
Recently (possibly with the switch to HA reporting), the report builder has started automatically adding outside parenthesis to filter logic statements. This is unnecessary, and when I need to add specific subclauses I have to go in and clean it up. Example: A AND B AND C is saved as (A AND B AND C) - the parenthesis don’t serve any purpose. I would like to add a D OR E subclause to the logic. So I put the new filters in place, and need to end up with A AND B AND C AND (D OR E). I’ve got to go clean up the automatically-added parenthesis, which never did anything anyway. It would be more convenient if those weren’t added in the first place.
As a Gainsight Admin, I need to see the email template versions that have specific URLs that are clicked so I can complete a/b testing and iterate on design based on the person receiving the email opening a specific link. Currently I can report on click rates across a Program and Email Template, but not at the URL level. So , if the email versions include more than 1 link (which they often do) I cannot tell which link is being clicked. A good example is, there is a link to drive an action or 1 to contact Support and we want to track the actionable link’s success rate. We can track how often the URL is clicked at a Program level with AO Link Clicked Analytics, but that does not drill-down to the email template and version level. It should be an easy, out of the box dataset within Gainsight to track the URLs within an email template and version.
Hi all,I think it could be nice to have the possibility to customize the options available in the new C360, for the button “Create”.For example, my team would like to have “Call” instead of the 3 that are there. Thanks
I’d like to request a new feature for our LMS: the ability to enable a simple thumb-up/thumb-down indicator at the course level. This would allow users to quickly rate whether they found the course helpful. While my team currently embeds surveys for learners to take at the end of specific learning paths, this simpler satisfaction rating (that designers could toggle on/off within the course settings page) would provide a couple key benefits:Quick Feedback: It offers learners an easy, low-effort way to express their satisfaction. Course-Level Insights: It would give us a course-specific satisfaction metric that we can view and analyze on the Analytics page. This would help us spot trends and assess which courses are delivering value to users and which need our attention.I this this addition would enhance the feedback process and improve our ability to assess course effectiveness. Thank you for considering this request!
When changes are made to a live course in CE, the only options for saving are: Publish to Everyone & Force Retakes Publish only to New LearnersEven if it is a simple typo, these are the only options. Would be nice to have an option to Publish changes without forcing retakes. A “Publish to Everyone” option that does not cause retake. A situation occurred during our customer facing training event where a typo was discovered and the changes were made to a hyperlink. Because we could not force all users to retake, the typo had to remain in place for all users and we had to send a separate email out to each person. It just added a lot of time to our efforts.
Love the new Inline Editing feature for reports! Unfortunately, one of my primary use cases for this would require the ability to update lookup fields. We have a report for “Strategic Stakeholders” on our C360 and our CSMs enter the personas (lookup to User) for each of the roles. They currently have to edit the low volume object record via the edit button. I’d like to switch this experience to an inline editing report, and to remove the ability for them to add a new record.
I have had multiple clients ask for more customizable colors within every part of Gainsight. The current limited selection of colors within scorecards, CTA types/values, and reporting limits the company’s ability to display data effectively to its users, CSMs, and clients. The addition of universal color picker would allow for bigger companies to segment their business units better and display information more effectively to its users. It would also allow for better internal communication of business practices by showing users more distinct differences in the data. Scorecards: be able to customize the Scorecard color scheme and individual score colors The color scales only allows for Red/Yellow/Green of varying shades. Previous client asked for Black to display customers that have churned. Red/Yellow/Green cannot convey this accurately. Another previous client asked for a Blue color to display customers that are new and should not be considered “good” or “bad” until they have been entirely onboarded. The current RYG color scale only allows for a “good” to “bad” ranking. You can currently only adjust color scales at a Global level; setting the color scale effects ALL Relationship types. My current Fortune 100 client has multiple organizations using Gainsight that all have different needs that should be able to be customized at a local/Relationship level. The current product is not scalable enough to accommodate these types of clients. Communicating to users that a customer is special in some way is currently impossible with the limited RYG color scales. Need more options to easily convey the information to CSMs CTAs: be able to change the CTA value color in dropdown lists to better portray similarities and differences. Covered in this idea. Reporting: Be able to change bar, pie, and line charts with whatever color you want to display Charts and graphs need to be more customizable in terms of displaying information that is familiar with the user. If a company uses a certain color to display a type of customer within their own presentations/marketing material, they should be able to create a graph/chart that is immediately transferable to their presentation in Gainsight. Right now, I have to create a chart in Gainsight and then export the data into excel, create the exact same chart in Excel, and then choose the right colors for internal presentations. Being able to choose the right colors in Gainsight would eliminate this issue. A universal HEX color selector would solve all the issues above and make Gainsight a more scalable solution for bigger companies. Some examples of where this could come in handy:Churned customers could have a different color in Scorecards to tell CSMs not to communicate with them. New customers who have yet to be onboarded could have a Blue color to display that they should not be included in the normal scorecard rankings. CTA values related to each other could have shades of the same color, but still different. This would allow CSMs to properly choose the right CTA reason/type/status more effectively. A company with multiple logos could accurately align logo colors to reporting charts and graphs. Gainsight could display CX customers as blue and PX customers as yellow within the same chart and have the colors accurately match the colors they use in their marketing materials.
Hi Team, The Export to CSV option is available only for the Users and not Accounts in the NPS, CES, Rating and Boolean Survey analytics. Replicable Steps: Go to any survey other than Multi-question and go to their analytics. Then click on the Users dropdown to select Accounts or Overview. The Export CSV option is not available. Hi all, I want to submit a feature request for the ability to add contacts outside of a customers org as an External Attendee when logging a call on the Timeline. There is a business use case where our CSMs have partners join calls frequently and it would be very helpful to capture that in the timeline notes. Thanks!
In Cockpit Admin, when editing a CTA Layout, it appears as if the field names are editable within the layout modal directly. However, they are not. You have to click the Settings cog to then edit the name of the field. This is different than the new Playbook Admin where things like task names, owner, and due dates are all editable directly within the modal without needing to open up and edit the full task.Improve product parity and admin experience by making CTA layout field names editable directly when viewing the layout and not needing an extra click.
We have a lot of learning paths and with various versions of the same name. I’d like to be able to resort learning paths based on my most frequently accessed or whatever pattern I’d prefer. They currently aren’t in a sensical order that I can tell, not even alphabetical by title.
It is helpful to have a learning path completion by learning group filter. However, there is no way to get to the learner level. I have a curriculum that is over 4 learning paths and certificates are not issued until the learning path is complete. To do a review of completion, I have to go into each learning path and find the learner. The analytics+filter gets me almost where I need (to separate by group) but then I want to see the learner level completion percentage.
Currently, the editing features in all of the PX surveys (NPS, CES, Rating, Boolean, and Multi-Question) are not nearly as robust as the other engagements types. It’s a continual challenge to try to get a survey to appear they way my business partners request, and I frequently have to say I Gainsight PX doesn’t allow me to do that.I’ve tried editing CSS and a couple places I’ve found to edit the code, but it’s frustrating and hit-or-miss at best. There is frequently strange padding and I can’t seem to affect that. Are there any plans to update the survey creation process to a more robust V2? cc: @aharkut @jmobley @aroberts @Lake1211 @woodlande @wheelern @Gainsight2022
Hey Folks,Have you ever needed to make a minor update to an engagement but were locked out because it was active? And then you go to pause the engagement to make the quick edit, but again, blocked because the engagement is also housed in a K-Bot library. It would be really great if we could make an update on the fly without having to:Start on the engagement you notice has a spelling error Find the Right K-Bot where the engagement might be housed (there is no way to know without looking through each K-Bot) Find and remove the engagement Go back to the engagement launcher and pause it Go to the engagement editor and make the update to word or phrase Go back to the engagement launcher and launch it Go back to the K-Bot and find the engagement again (BTW it is no longer in the same order as it was when you removed it, so you will need to search through every engagement available to every K-Bot.) Add it back to the Bot. Re-order it in your K-Bot Menu and/or assign it to a Category. Save the K-BotRecommendation: Allow for an engagement to be paused and edited while simply “hiding” it in the K-Bot. Once it is launched again, everything returns to as it once was. This “hide” mode is already identifiable in the K-Bot as the engagement shows as Paused. But a “hide” mode would allow one to maintain the structure of the K-Bot while making an update to the engagement itself. This would be immensely helpful for minor edits, replacing graphics, updating release notes, adding/editing translations, etc. Shows the engagement cannot be seen at the moment
I was searching for Date formats available in Gainsight, but did not find any help articles or resources to reference that provide these options. It would be helpful if Gainsight updated the resources they share online to include this and, honestly, update their resources as a whole. For this idea, specifically, I’d love for Gainsight to provide a Date format option of a written date, so the date would present something like this: January 1st, 2024.I utilize Data Designer to pull in date information to utilize within a program, and the written date format is much cleaner than the current available formats - especially taking into consideration different countries are more familiar with different date formats.
